And Then There Were Robots (B-Team)

Dom nodded to the scientist, as the man flipped a few knobs and the teleporter pad started humming to life, glowing a faint yellow color. "We have the element of surprise this time. Maybe we'll be able to knock them off before they even notice.."

Their bodies started to vibrate for a moment as the room around them grew hazy and another room started to come into focus. Dom started feeling a little dizzy during the journey but, finally, they jolted entirely into a classroom that they may have seen before. It was the B-Team's classroom, but different. There were a bunch of twisted experiments on the shelves. Bottles with brains inside, shrunken heads, little aliens, etc. The walls were stocked with huge rifle weapons and the far wall was covered in a large screen with battle plans. In front of them were their three doppelgangers, staring back as they appeared with sinister grins spreading across their profiles, followed quickly by confusion.

"Where's the doctor? Dom? Did you..forget your assignment?" Dom's counterpart spoke, unsure whether they were in on their malicious plot, or not.

With confidence, Dom walked slowly in front of Amber and Titus. "You know...I always thought that haircut was stupid." He said with a sly smile before quickly grabbing his pistol and firing it at Alternate Universe Amber, and then a second shot at the lights above them, sending them into darkness.

Dom then bolted toward the wall, calmed himself down and initialized his camo to try to sneak up behind another one of them during the fire fight, being fully aware that his alternate self probably would have the same plan.

Dom frowned as Amber and Titus fanned out in the darkness, both getting caught up with their own doubles, but his was nowhere to be found. He was probably slithering around somewhere, just out of sight. Just knowing that Alternate Domhnall could be staring him down at any moment made his skin crawl in the inky darkness. As he heard Amber scream, he figured that there was a good enough place to start. He narrowed his vision and shot an electric bullet straight at Alternate Amber.

"Amber, you gotta get up! Just swing a punch or something, anything! You have a gun right?" Dom spoke very quickly as he lined himself up for a second shot at the girl before he felt a small tug at his shoe.

"Wha-??"

Dom looked down for a moment before he was flipped onto his back with a low thud. His vision was hazy for a moment as he looked up towards the ceiling at the light he shot which was now starting to flicker every once in a while, as if lightning struck every few seconds. One flash and the tiles looked charred from the gunfire. A second flash and he saw Alternate Dom standing over him with a wide smile. A third flash and he was gone.

His pupils shrunk as he felt completely disoriented by the lights but even more concerned by what he was seeing. His alternate self had perfect camo and could activate it in mere moments. His alternate self had advanced far beyond anything that he thought would be possible, yet, here he was. This may be a crazy alternate universe, but this Dom was probably only slightly older than him.

Dom jumped to his feet and scanned the area as quickly as possible. Trying to spot any imperfections in his alternate self's disguise during the flashes. Calmly he held the pistol up, turning slowly and scanning the area. One flash. Nothing. A second flash. He could hear Titus and Amber fighting their own fights, but he couldn't break his focus. A third flash. Alternate Dom appeared right in front of him and punched Dom square in the jaw. Dom stumbled backwards, gently touching his lip as he felt it bleeding.

"Give it up, Dom. You're not trained for combat. You don't even know how to use your own powers. How could you ever hope to beat me?"

Dom looked up at his alternate self as he was kneed in the stomach harshly. Dom held himself up, placing his palms on the ground in front of him. He felt his mouth get filled with blood as he struggled back to his feet. He looked around between the flashes as his alternate self was gone. One flash nothing. A second flash. A thought quickly, holding the blood for a moment. A third flash. Dom spat the blood out in a quick radius around him before it stopped midair and hug there, a levitating strip of crimson. Dom flipped his pistol out and pointed it straight at the strip.

"Peace out, girl scout."

Dom let the hum and the light from his pistol charge up for a moment before firing a massive blast forward. A green ray flew forward and collided with the strip, breaking Alternate Domhnall's camo and jamming him against the wall, banging his head harshly. He quickly rolled to the side, now covered in dark burns.

"You good for nuthin wannabe..." The alternate Dom trailed off as he disappeared into the distance, attempting to recover.

Scrambling to help Amber, Dom skidded to a halt as he saw Titus take care of Alternate Amber in moments. Dom ran to Amber and offered his hand to help her up and onto her feet. She'd taken a lot of punishment and his alternate self was still lurking around there somewhere.

"We can talk later...we need to get out of here now." Dom spoke quickly as he looked across the room and spotted the machine that was surely their way out.

Dom dashed for the machine and popped the hatch open, leaving room for them to be able to enter. "I don't know about you guys, but I'm done with this place. We're going to have to destroy this thing as we're leaving so they can't come back after us. I don't plan on going back."

This pipe dream was almost over. Dom just wanted to get home, finally.

The three scrambled for the machine in a rush. Amber, needing support to move leaned on Titus before he passed her off to Dom. With a small grunt, he held her up and helped her onto the pad. His eyes widened as he watched Titus go to work on the alternate versions of Titus, Dom and Amber with gusto. Titus seemed to be proving that he could dish out some major damage as he joined them on the pad and flipped a few buttons by accident. It seemed to work, though, as the machine began humming to life.

"Let's get out of here..." Dom spoke, feeling very tired.

The room began fading in and out as their alternate selves angrily threw things at the machine, trying to drag them back. Just as the room faded away entirely and the machine itself began disappearing around them, Dom lined up his pistol at the pad and fired away, destroying the machine underneath them. With an explosion, the three were pushed apart, flying through an extra-dimensional cyclone, somewhere between the previous dimension and their own. Flying colors of pinks, blacks and purples engulfed Dom as he fell down the spiral until he collided with the center, disappearing for a moment. A bright flash dominated his vision for a moment before he appeared in class B-101, sitting in his spot at the back of the room. Holding a massive migraine, he looked around to see if Amber and Titus made it back okay. All of the injuries he received from their adventure were mysteriously gone and he questioned for a moment whether it happened at all.
