New Kid On The Block (B-Team)

Masako huffed another sigh as her mother chattered nonstop to the principle. Okay, yes, she had...a few...minute...behavioral issues, but in the grand scheme of things a lot of good had come from her 'outbursts'! Her mother kept telling her how lucky Masako was to be accepted into the special B-Team class but honestly, she could care less. It was all just a ploy to get her out of the neighborhood and out of the house. Either way, she was living alone now in a new district, and after this conversation with the principle, Masako wouldn't see her mother again for a year or so.

"Thank you so, so much! You have no idea how much this means to myself and her father." Her mother gushed once more, as she and the principle rose from their chairs.

"Not at all." The principle waved his hand dismissively. "We accept all kinds of students here with the hope that they will learn and grown in all aspects of life."

Blah, blah, blah, more words here, Masako tuned out again. By the time she had been shown around the school and her mother was at the point of tears it felt like her life her would be anything but interesting. B-o-r-i-n-g, note the CAPITAL B. The trio ended the tour at the school entrance where her mother turned to lecture Masako for the millionth time since forever and parted with a tearful hug. Masako just waved goodbye. Yeah it hurt that her parents were halfway abandoning her but what had she expected? The cost of justice was high. The principle set his hand on her shoulder and said more words but Masako wasn't listening. Finally he turned to leave, parting with handing her a map of the school. She watched his back go down the hall and then turn from her sight. Screw class. It was time for some good ol' rooftop contemplation. Masako glanced at the map and quickly found her way up the stairs and to the roof.

The sky was very blue, and her eyes quickly found her mothers car as it drove away into the horizon. She on the edge, legs dangling off, and wondered if the lock on the door leading up here was actually supposed to keep her out or not. Justice seemed a bit over rated if this was the kind of thing you got out of it. She quickly shook that thought from her head. Justice was everything to Masako. And she would upkeep it. Even in a new school, with new rules, and new faces.

She would always continue to be judge, jury, and executioner.

Titus sighs in relief as he steps along the glowing energy wallpath.He'd managed to finish his project early, and the teach agreed to let him practice his powers.he'd taken off that moment, intending to go to the roof and work on multi forming. But, as he stepped onto it, the young former stops, seeing a girl. He steps back, intending to retreat.

Masako heard the door open and her head whipped around. A boy was there. She tossed her head of black curls inquisitively. Maybe it would be a good idea to make new friends? Hah! Justice needed no friends! But she did need someone to talk to every now and again. She smiled, blue eyes pinning down the boy.

"I'm Masako." she announced.

Titus gulps, and his wall flickers.knowing what that meant, he quickly steps off it,back onto the roof. Thee shy teens shades slips down his nose, revealing bright green eyes the same shade as his walls.Aiegis glances backwards, and gives in, accepting that hecwasnt escaping. He smiles  shy,waving hello, and walks over to her.

Masako noticed the boy was reluctant to introduce himself. That was alright. Even she wasn't that nosy. She'd just rather the boy be comfortable around her. It was important to have informants when you made you life revolve around doling out righteousness. She gave him a beaming smile and then plopped back down to where she had originally been sitting, leaning back to take in the massive views of a clear blue sky.

"Nice day hunh?"

Titus tilts his head at the smile, and quietly sits down beside her, the wind ruffling his messy brown hair. He examines the girl,and sighs. He'd never expected someone else up here....The boy shrugs, and looks at Misako when she asks him a question. Titus considers it, then nods.

Masako lets silence consume the space between the two. All in all, a great day like this shouldn't be wasted on speaking. Sometimes the best justice you could do for nature was to just shut up and take it in. So she did. The events of the past week ran through her mind. Getting kicked out of her old school, leaving all of her little gremlins that followed her behind, being deposited alone in this new school. It was a lot to take in. She frowned. Masako really did miss her little gremlins.

She rolled on her side to look at the boy who was quietly sitting beside her. Examining him, he didn't look anything like her gremlins. No tattoo's, no piercings, no blonde hair, no bad fashion sense, no scars, he just looked like a normal guy.

Titus blinks as the girl examines him. Unused to scrutiny, the shy kid reddens. He examines the area laid out before them. Hmm..with the school going, it was quiet, though there was stuff going on in the playground. Titus shifts, biting his lip, then finally speaks, his voice soft and gentle." I......I'm Titus....." The boy seems to shrink slightly.

Masako's smiled again, thousand watts of joy. She liked meeting new people. Better yet she didn't have to intimidate the name out of him. She used to have a reputation at her old school and everyone avoided her. It was awesome just being able to talk again.

"Well since you already know my name, I guess this is the part where we shake on it. Nice to meet you Titus." She stuck out a hand in formal greeting.

Titus blinks at the smile, and returns it with a small, gentle one of his own.He nods, reaching out with his own hand, and they shaker hands." Its....n-nice to meet you too..Masako.." A little difficlut,but at least it was only one person..he wall former releases her hand, adjusts his shades when theory slip down his nose.

Masako trained her eyes back on the sky. It really was nice out today. Almost too nice. She chuckled thinking that she could give the sun a light pollution violation. Yes right, only in her dreams. Better to just keep conversing before she tempted to figure out how to give the sun a ticket.

"I'm in B-Team. Well, I will be. Just joined this morning."

Titus blinks. She was break as well. He furrows his brow, thinking, and nods."U-um.....I'm Bteam also...." He looks at her, and let's out his usual smile." U-uhm....welcome to the team...."

Masako felt a lopsided grin creep across her face. It wasn't exactly a welcome place for her. More along the lines of her mother had found the nearest dumping ground and took an out. Poof! Short of jail it was the best way for her family and neighborhood to get rid of Masako. But she would take what she could get. Especially because Titus was nice enough to welcome her.

"Thanks. In an interesting way, I'm looking forward to this."

Titus nods at the grin, rreflecting on how the beamers had effected him...It wasn't so lonely anymore,for one.He'd found friends...people that looked out for him.Plus,he had to admit, some of the missions were fun, not to mention training itself.He listened to her." O-okay...good..." Hr blinks." Oh..uh ....what's your power?"

Masako propped herself up on one elbow, turning to the side so she could look Titus in the eyes. Then she wiggled her eyebrows and said, "I'm lucky."
