Pokédate...what? (Emmi) (PKMN)

Nina chuckled "I'm only kiddin with ya" she said before she linked arms with him "c'mon buddy lets go" she said calmly as she walked with him.

He blinked, looking at Nina as she laughed and said she had only been kidding, taking his arm. He smiled, and held her hand as she did, and walked with her, Luke by his side.

So, I was hoping to head to Pewter City first...Brock's Pokemon should stand no chance against Nero. ...that's what I named my Ghastly last night, he explained, smiling.

Nina nodded "sounds like a plan, I'll be cheering you on" she said happily "but I...don't have any lap-sized pokemon to cheer you on with...how about me and Midnight howl for you" she said laughing.

He smiled at Nina as she said she'd be cheering for him, but said that she had no tiny Pokemon to cheer him on with, saying that perhaps she and Ahri could howl for him, as he laughed gently. Images of Ahri and Nina howling for him entered his mind, but so did other things, and he cleared his mind, smiling again.

Really? I'm glad to have your support, Nina...

He held her hand a little bit tighter.

Nina smiled "of course, we're traveling friends now" she said happily, squeezing his hand back.

He smiled gently as Nina said they were traveling friends, and squeezed his hands. He looked ahead.

And hopefully, given enough time, we can be something else, he thought.

So where are we off to next?

Nina chuckled "you wanted to go to Pewter City right?" She asked, opening her map and began walking towards Pewter City.

He blinked, looking at Nina as she pulled open some virtual map, looking for Pewter City.

Well yeah, but is that near here? I'm not too familiar with the area...

He blinked, looking at Nina's map with curiosity.

Nina looked at the map thoughtfully "alright uhh...so we're on route 22 now so...we need to go...West to Viridian City then through Viridian Forest then when we come out of there we should be in Pewter city" she said before putting the map away.

He nodded as Nina said they needed to go back through Viridian City, and then keep going west in order to go to Pewter City. He smiled a bit at Nina.

Sorry I didn't bring my own map...I must look like such a n- ...well I actually am a newbie...

He smiled a bit.

Nina chuckled "it's alright, just stick near me and you'll be fine" she said softly as she walked with him.

He laughed a little bit with her as she told him to just stay close.

Man, I'm just losing points by the second here.

Nina just hummed as she walked with Kyte "so uhh...tell me about yourself Kyte...how did you grow up?" she asked.

He looked over to Nina as she asked Kyte to tell her a bit more about himself, asking specifically how he grew up.

Well...Crisis had it easy growing up. I can't blame him or my mother, really...Crisis was just constantly setting the bar higher for me and my mother, often at levels I couldn't step up to. So mother and I never had a good relationship.

We never knew our father. When mother went into labor to give birth to Crisis, she says that he just disappeared, never getting into contact with her. All she ever told us about him was that he was a good Pokemon trainer.

When Crisis was fifteen...well, you know this part. He went out to conquer the Pokemon world. Mother always had us study Pokemon as some memento to our father, I guess. Crisis wanted to be a Pokemon trainer, and I just wanted to raise Luke.

A week ago on my eighteenth birthday, I got a letter from Crisis saying he wanted me to come beat him. The thing is...I don't want to be Crisis Sinaura's brother anymore. I want people to know my name, too, instead of just being that famous guy's brother. ...does that make sense?

Nina nodded and put a hand on his shoulder "I understand completely, and I'll do whatever it takes to help you" she said softly.
