One dark night. (open)

"I'm known as Zero, that's all you need to know," Zero said and looked down the street, checking the reactions of some of the seasoned thugs around, hearing Zero must have subconsciously startled them. It wouldn't have surprised Zero, anyone who remembers the Orange Army remembers Zero's legacy as the incredibly sadistic second in command to Alex Orange. Not many know him as the self-proclaimed hero he is now, not wanting to bring attention to himself.

Stella realized his name must have meant something because of how he left the conversation and didn't want to talk about it, but also because of the group of men in the background sudden;y looking stressed and moving away from the three. "Well umm..." Stella began, "I uh, it's very nice to m-meet you..." Stella then began clear her throat as she wondered if she should ask about anything else. But then she relized she had not given her name in return.

Pointing a shaking finger at herself she added, "M-my name is Stella...S-Stella Lucksum..." Unlike Zero, her name didn't mean anything here. She was new to Jump City and just got there that day.

Then she turned her gaze to the other man. He was very quiet and as her eyes focused on him, she could see his skin wasn't normal human skin, but snake like. Stella hadn't seen this before and was somewhat at better ease. This is only because she now knew someone else with powers that changed how they looked. "Can-can you...talk erm--s-speak?" She asked Bloodveld.

Bloodveld stared at Zero for a moment as he told them his name; /Hm, Zero... OK then./ he thought, then looked at Stella as she told them her name. /Stella...Ok.../ He looked back at Zero and then at Stella again, /He's Zero, she's Stella, I think I can remember that./

When Stella asked him if he could speak, he look off to the side for a moment, a bit hesitant to reply. He then noticed the three other people; he didn't want to stare at them but remained aware of their presence. He look back at Stella and shook his head.

Bloodveld became aware of the fact that she was shaking and, using his thermal vision, realized that it wasn't because she was cold. He (if Stella let's him) gently puts his hand on her shoulder and attempts to ask with a facial expression, /Are you Ok? You look like you're scared./

'Well it's good that he can at least understand me.' Stella thought as the other man shook his head. She was glad to know they were all on the same page as to knowing who each other somewhat was. But that would shortly go down hill. The sudden touch of Bloodveld's hand caught Stella off guard. Her whole right arm and shoulder turned to steel. Her hair became dramatically bright neon red.

Stella couldn't control herself and raised her arm back and swiftly forward to hit Bloodveld. 'NOO!' normal Stella screamed internally as she changed into her powers and moved quickly to hit Bloodveld.

This is where being constantly alert (and a bit paranoid) comes in handy...

Bloodveld's eyes suddenly widened when Stella's arm turned to steel. As she made a motion and swung at him, Bloodveld's reflexes kicked in and he jumped back, successfully dodging the swing. The sudden attack was unexpected, and he jumped back quite a bit.

/What was THAT for!?!?!/

/You know what that was for you idiot...you probably scared her./

Now Bloodveld was ready to run or perhaps fight if needed; but maybe he wouldn't need to. He wasn't exactly sure what was going on, what with the metal arm and everything.
