Meeting up with Big Sis!!?(Dar)

"I guess that means weve got a little something in common now, huh LWolf? Haha." But, Toji was in his own little world dancing around. Mark just smiled and looked on in amusement before speaking to Grace. "He's a breath of fresh air...Born of what most consider evil...Yet he's more pure and happy than half of the people I used to know. One thing this ring gives you is clarity of what's righteous and good."

Grace still didn't understand fully what had happened to Toji. Without her spiritual awareness, she felt blind at times like this. Oh well, at least he was healed now.

Grace noticed the sun setting. It was later than she realized. Will would be waiting.

Grace smiled and turned to Blue Lantern. "Thank you for your help. I owe you a favor. A big one." Looking back to Toji, she tapped an imaginary watch on her wrist. "We have to get back now, Toji. The Titans need someone to defend their tower." A tear formed in Grace's eye.

She had abandoned her friends in their time of need. All because she had lost her powers. What had she been thinking? It wasn't one's powers that made one a leader. Then again, even though she had been the leader of the team, she had never been a good one. She had treated her teammates like tools, neglected tools.

Hopefully, her recent offer would allow her to protect the world, Jump City, and the Titans.

"Hey, Toji...I'm going to join the Justice League."

"Think nothing of it." As Toji fully came to Teen Lantern flew into the sky and waved at them both. He had other things to take care of and he didn't want to ruin their bonding moment. He more than anyone recognized the importance of this.

Grace was glad that Toji was excited about her news. She chuckled at his requests to get autographs or visit the Watchtower. Then Toji said something that surprised her. He said that she hadn't failed the team by leaving.

Grace hadn't said anything about that. Had Toji just guessed what she had been thinking? In any case, it was a relief to hear those words. Toji didn't hold a grudge against her. Grace started to cry and hugged Toji. "You don't know how much that means."

Still, Grace wasn't sure if the rest of the Titans felt the same way. She had been nice to Toji in the past. Nicer than she had been to any of the others.

Grace dried her tears. A Saint? He'd mentioned that before. "What do you mean a Saint? Can a demon..." She didn't want to sound mean, but she couldn't think of any other way to say it. "Can a demon even become a Saint?" Even more shocking was the claim that Toji had money. Grace didn't know he even had a job.

A lot had happened this day, and Grace decided a dinner was indeed needed. "Very well. Where are we going?" Grace smiled and followed Toji to the restaurant he had in mind.

Grace listened to Toji's explanation, still a little confused. In any case, Toji certainly seemed happy, which was how she would imagine he would feel had his cursed blood been redeemed.

They arrived at the Monster Basher Cafe. Grace was appalled. There was actually a place on earth where you were supposed to eat in the atmosphere of demon hunting. Disgusting. Grace made sure to mask her real feelings, though. Toji seemed really excited to eat here...for some reason. Grace would certainly not eat at a "Human Hunter" cafe, but Toji's logic had always been strange to her.

She laughed as she thought back to when they had first met. Grace had sensed the demonic blood in Toji's veins from across the room. She had decided to hate him. To despise him. To demand that he be removed from the Teen Titans.

And then he had called her "Sister."

Grace had been so confused by this little boy. How he loved her at first sight, despite her obvious hatred for his very species, and despite her general nature of staying distant from everyone. Her heart was colder than ice, but he had loved her unconditionally, as a younger brother would.

And now, over 2 years later, she did think of him as a little brother. A naive brother that needed to be protected.

Grace realized that the waitress was still waiting for her to order. "I'll have the Scary Steak."

Looking back at Toji, Grace realized that she was going to miss this. Being in the Justice League was going to take up too much time to visit Toji as much as she wanted. But she also knew she had to protect her little brother, by keeping the big battles far, far away. "You really mean a lot to me, Toji. You are my brother, and my best friend. My life has turned out wonderful, and a lot of it is thanks to you."

"They probably do, Toji." Grace knew her little brother was no weakling, but she still wanted him to stay safe.

Grace picked up her glass of water and held it in the air towards Toji. "To the future."

Toji grinned, hefting his shake and tapping it against his sister's glass."Aye, to the future!! May it be ever bright!!!" The Monster Basher Cafe rang with the happy sound of the siblings laughter, proving that despite the darkness, there can be happiness......
