Meeting up with Big Sis!!?(Dar)

Toji snapped and started tossing the giant demon around like a rag doll. Grace had no qualms about killing the foul demon, but she didn't want Toji to regret his actions here. If he gave into his hatred too much, he could see a part of himself that he wouldn't like.

"He's lying, Toji. There's no way someone this wimpy could kill your mother." Come to think of it, Grace didn't know which of Toji's parents was the demon. She was now just assuming it was his mother, since the demon had compared her speed to Toji's. "If a half-breed can beat this snake with ease, then there's no way he could have beaten a full-blood, right?"

Grace tightened her grip on the hilt of her sabre. If Toji went too far and lost his mind to his anger, then Grace would just have to beat the demon out of him.

OOC: Her name is Grace, not Dar.

BIC: Well, it was over. Grace sheathed her sword and walked up to Toji. The demon really had killed his mother. It was hard news to take in, and he collapsed to the ground under the weight.

Dropping to her knees, Grace put a hand on Toji's shoulder. The darkness inside him had disappeared, leaving only a poor weeping child. Grace sat there in silence for a while, thinking of what to say.

"She is proud of you, Toji. I know it. You will see her again. I have tasted death before, and I'm sure that right now your mother is happy." Grace didn't know if her words would help, but either way she was here for Toji. She wouldn't let him suffer alone.

Grace bent over and picked Toji up. He was hurt pretty bad, it seemed. She was sure that his regenerative powers would help a little, but the wound had come from a demonic blade. His healing ability was probably weakened right now.

Turning back to the door, Grace carried her little brother back down the stairs and out of the seedy bar. They were far away from Jump City and all of their friends. Who could help them at a time like this? The local hospital probably wouldn't know much about how to treat a half-demon.

"Where do we go now?" Grace asked in a hushed voice.

( Toji has durability, not regeneration, though that would be a good idea to add.Anyway, I've asked Jak to join in as Spider Girl.)

Toji tried to get out of Grace's arm, but he was too weak.Giving up, he coughed up more blood."M-must find Family....they'll help.....ugh.....P-press button three times, they'll come...." He grinned wanly at Grace, pressing his comm button three times."S-sorry for the blood on your clothes, Big Sister. Heheheheheh, looks like your little brother is a little sloppy." he started singing, delirous from the loos of blood."Oh, ten gourds of Sake, how many can a old warrior take? Oh nine gourds of sake, how many can a tiger take.....Mommy?" His eyes fixed on something over Graces soldier."Mom, that you? I-I'm so sorry, I was just a baby.....Mom, you don't care, you're proud?" Happy tears started streaming."Y-you want me to join you? Maybe one day, I got to stay....gotta fight..."

"Didn't you hear?" A voice rang out from above as Mark Rowan AKA the Teen Lantern approached with a big blue blinding aura accompanying his wake. "Spider-Girl split town a few days ago...No one's seen her around Steel or Jump. Leaving a bunch of happy thugs and gangsters for the Nighthawk's to deal with." Mark then landed in front of Grace and extended a hand while looking at Toji. "Sorry I only caught the tail end of what you guys were talking about, but when I heard there was a throw-down in Midtown going on, I got here as soon as possible. Mind giving me the cliff notes and what's wrong with him? I've never seen Lightning Wolf, so blue...No pun intended." Although, there obviosuly was a pun intended, Mark couldn't help but worry for Toji. The fist time he had met this kid was when Nikki introduced them a while back, back then Mark was star-struck by him.

Webs? Was Toji talking about Spider-Girl? Where did you find her?

Apparently not here. The Blue Lantern flew in and said that the web slinger wasn't in her city. Well, at least Blue was here. His flight would allow them to get Toji to care soon. Grace didn't know this lantern very well. She had only seen him a few times. But she knew he was a hero. Besides, she didn't have much choice. Toji was becoming delusional now, mistaking Grace for his mother.

"We were fighting some demons. The leader cut Toji here pretty bad. He's losing blood fast. I know we can heal him at Titans Tower, but that's a long ways away. Is there anywhere nearby where we could treat a half-demon?"

"Hospital? For a demon...Finding anyone classified would take longer than just taking him back to your tower in my book. Luckily, you've got a healer right here." Scans Toji's body with he ring and then upon locating the source of the wound he places his ring there and his eyes glow bright blue as he recites the oath. "In fearful day, in raging night, with hope and faith, my soul ignites, let those who try to spread their blight...Embrace My Power...TEEN LANTERN'S LIGHT!" At the last few utterings of his oath the wound healed itself as if never there and any sickness was dispelled from his body. This was Mark's power, but the cost was a lot of his powercell battery usage. Right now in a fight he'd have to take it easy. "That should do it. Now we wait."

"I'm sorry, but I don't recognize you...I used to know all the Titans, but even so I doubt weve ever met. I'm called Teen Lantern or TL for short. A member of the Blue Lantern Corps." Mark said while waiting for Toji to come to, however, a peculiar Japanese sign was showing on his forehead now. Is that part of his powers?

The Blue Lantern was a healer? Grace was surprised. She didn't think the magic that powered those rings could do that. Not that she'd ever paid too much attention, of course. She felt a great relief as she saw Toji's wound healed by the glowing blue energy.

"Thank you. I owe you one."

The Lantern said that he didn't recognize her, and even claimed that he used to know all the Titans. Grace felt like her stomach tied itself in a knot. If that was true, it was more than she had ever done. Even when she had been a Titan, she hadn't bothered to get close to most of the members. A few of them she couldn't even name on a bad day. She had closed herself off to most possible relationships that she should have participated in.

But that was another life. Before she had lost her powers. Before she had lived a second life as a mere human.

"I know about you, but you're right. I don't think we've ever officially met. I am Black Ice, but you might recognize my earlier title: Deep Freeze. I was the leader of the Teen Titans about a year ago. I kept very much to myself back then. Anyways, I'm not a Titan anymore. I'm just here to help out some of my friends."

Her thoughts were interrupted when Toji's head started glowing with a symbol Grace couldn't identify. Why did weird things like this always have to happen when she was around? Blue asked if this was normal for Toji. "Um...no. No it is not. Do you know what it says?"

"Not a clue. I can translate spoken language only with this thing. And he's back." Mark said with a smile and his hands on his hips. "You gave us a pretty good scare there little buddy. Seeing you still and in one place for once was definitely a first." Lantern said with optimism in his voice. "You're lucky Black Ice was here, she wouldn't leave your side for any reason. I healed you, but it's her hope and care for you, which gave me the extra umph to help your wounds." Seeing a bond between two people like this always made Mark smile and feel good inside; in a way such emotion was his fuel.

Toji woke up, and Grace felt relief. She embraced Toji in a close hug. "I'm glad you're okay, Toji. Don't scare me like that, okay?" She leaned back and looked at the mark on Toji's forehead. "Um...You have something...on your head."

Grace hoped this symbol wouldn't lead them on another misadventure. The two of them had already destroyed the castle of the one who had enslaved Toji for years. And now they had slain the murderer of his mother. How many people could Toji possibly have a history with? Too many, and they all seemed to be pretty strong.
