Wanting to feel normal(open)

'Water.... every Feecon is told ever since they are born to stay away from it. Water takes away any Feecons fire based powers so we should never even touch it so we never become weak..... or at least that what my father told me. I like to be in the water, feel the water on my skin so that I can remotely feel normal..... I spend more time in the water than helping people like I should be doing but.... I need to feel somewhat normal just a little even if it means leaving my self open for attack. I need to feel that one bit of being normal so that I know.... so I know I'm not just part demon..... it helps remind me I'm part human too, that I can and should help others..... water..... water.... air..... AIR I NEED AIR!'

Miley swims back above water gasping for air coughing a bit. Once Miley catches her breath she begins to float on her back easily staying afloat on the water closing her eyes as she floats. Miley starts to think again as she floats wearing her hero costume except for the baggy orange shirt and mask which both lay on a large rock on the ground infront of the lake Miley is floating in. Today seemed like a peaceful day but peaceful days are always what they seem.

On the cusp of afternoon, sun high in the sky, seclusion could almost be guaranteed here. A lake twixt the boundaries of two cities. The metropolitan vigour of either Jump or Steel, despite being a forest walk away, went completely unnoticed. Mankind did not build skyscrapers on these shores, but huts for fishing boats. Simple constructions for simple living. Blessed in the tranquil sounds of dragonflies and wildfowl. Plus witness to the occasional flight of an American bullfrog.

“Toad punting. Well I don't think it'll make the Olympics, but it'll keep me in chains.”

There weren't a lot of people around to injustice. Sinning was awful hard when faced with no victims. Fortunately the Earth was blessed with God's critters. All things wise and wonderful. All creatures great and small. All things bright and beautiful. Scapegoat had kicked them all. Gained some credit for animal cruelty.

At last Vernon stumbled onto a bank, his leisurely walk now come to an end. After taking in his surroundings Scapegoat found what he was looking for, or at least some remnants. Oh no! He was too late! This deceptively ordinary looking rock had devoured the girl leaving nothing but her clothes! She was gone! Gone forever! Aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh- Or she went swimming. Either or.

Scapegoat soon found himself at that same rock, and picked up the mask. To protect a secret identity, no doubt, he used to wear one when he was alive. Vernon proceeded to put the mask on and broke into a musical tune, “The Phaaantom of the Oper-a is-” He interrupted himself by miming a gun blowing out his own brains. Worst musical ever.

Miley hears the singing and swims up to the shore and walks over to him her hair soaked dripping water but was brushed out of her face. Miley looked annoyed as she riped the mask off his head and picks up the large orange shirt putting then both on and crossing her arms.

"You shouldn't take what is not yours"

Through sheer force of buffoonery, Vernon had been oblivious to the owner's return. He was too preoccupied with clowning around to notice Miley emerge from the lake. So all he offered in defence was a guilty shrug and some small insincere words of solace, “No offence meant miss.” That mask's ridiculousness had started him off. It belonged in a Victorian ballroom, not on the face of one such as her.

Clearing his throat, Scapegoat adopted a 'to the matter at hand' expression. It was best he explain his intrusion. Not let the awkwardness linger. He would surely be punished for lollygagging. Stalling yet further by engaging in filler sentences and lines. Reiterating points to the point of redundancy, “Though this encounter is not by accident. I have purposely sought you out for once thing and one thing alone.”

Dipping his hands out of view for a moment, the distinct rattle of chains could be heard from under both sleeves. Vernon pulled out a weapon far mightier than any sword; plus paper to write on. Otherwise known as a notepad and pen, “Can I have your autograph? I'm sure you get asked this all the time.” He smiled sweetly, extending both to the girl, “Make it out to Scapegoat!”

Miley groans a little, she was asked of this a lot but not for being known as a titan or a hero but for looking, exactly like, Hayley Williams, the lead singer to the famous band.... paramore. Miley puts her hands on her hips as she talks.

"Fine but before I do who excatly do you think I am?"

Meeting your heroes was always a spine-chilling experience. Something that deprived your brain of vital oxygen, starving out intelligence. But Vernon would not get tongue-tied. He could speak with a confident and clear-head, “Why – you're Chili Madras!” The exclamation made in earnest innocence sparked a session of cricket chirps from somewhere nearby.

Scapegoat reconsidered his position. That name didn't sound right now that he'd spoken it out loud, “No wait. That's not... Hang on. I wrote it down somewhere.” Back to searching through pockets. The ghoul eventually found what he was looking for inside the notepad that he was already holding. He quirked an apologetic grin as he flipped through its pages and read.

“Oh! Milicondras. Am I pronouncing that right? Specifically - Princess Milicondras Gendorytoonyfeel Feedecondro. And you live in Llanfairpwllgwyngyll whilst holidaying at Taumata. Well not that last bit, but you get the gist. Autograph?” His notepad/pen combo was once again extended to the demon. It was a sick little game to play, but a part of Vernon really hoped she signed anyway.

'Kill him! Kill him now he knows who we are! No.... But your the one who wanted to to keep our identity a secret. I SAID NO Miley I feel your anger you obtained it once he said our... well my name the one you gave up on entry to the upper world I said no I refuse to kill and besides if we attack we are still one for attack since we can't make fire. Oh miley I won't kill him just let me talk to myfan for a moment ..... fine.....'

Miley had a mini conversation with her demon self and once they were finished miley's eyes turn completely black and her voice demonic. Miley or well Milicondras miley's demon self picks scapegoat up by the throat and puts the point of her tail up on his chest right where his heart should be.

"Do you know with enough force you can put anything through flesh and bone, well there's no sure way to tell that the item won't break along the way but I think I'll take my chances with my tail.... but first tell me... how do you know who I am?"

How wonderous! With the Feecon bathing in water, one could almost assume it had forsaken its demon side. Yet how quickly a temper brought that back. Brought the scared, lost, little girl to the comfort of her arcane abilities. Vernon would smile in relief - had not his throat been currently constricted. Instead all he managed was a victory feet wiggle.

Yay, she's beating me up... Heh heh heh...

The ghoul did not struggle as he was lifted. He knew from ten years hard experience that a demon tended to sadism, that a struggle would merely delight his captor, and inspire more travesties against him. If the princess wanted to snap him like a twig, she was welcome to do it. However, should the runaway show him mercy, then he was happy to treat her as any other human...

"Ah, yes. My second one and only reason for being here." The notepad lay forgotten on the ground. Scapegoat should have known better than to play with demons. He tried not to let vile memories of past tortures affect his demeanor, and kept calm, struggling to get his word out, "His Majesty would like to remind Her Highness that she has a curfew."

"CAN I KILL HIM NOW! NO!...... we can get him to tell "his majesty" to *(#&$(* off! I'n actually ok with that" Miley lowers her tail and pulls scapegoat close to her face looking rather angry.

"Tell daddy dearest that I will not be returning! He blew any chance of me returning when he broke my right horn off!"

Miley throws scapegoat onto the ground and puts the tip of her tail on his throat.

"And I dought he'll care but tell him if he tries to tell me to come home through the only way of talking to me rather than seeing me in person I'll kill the messanger and beat the *(#&$(* out of his#(*$ like I did the last time her decided to show his #*$( pathedic little face!"

A sore spot, eh? This fury was most befitting. Scapegoat almost had cause for concern. Yet there was an entire kingdom of demons forcing him to spite this one, so bait her he must. Jab and grovel, provoke and praise – with tone never clear, uncertainty extended to fear. Milicondras released Vernon quite forcefully. With two hands stretched backwards, he took the oomph out of the blow.

“Heeey.” Scapegoat protested in the tone of a downtrodden child, “Contrary to popular belief, it isn't wise to threaten messengers. I can reiterate your reply back in a whiny voice, if so provoked.” Humour, however pathetic, could placate a violent party and save his hide. Though the tail at his throat would seem to suggest it wasn't working.

“Alright! Easy, Your Highness! Spare me your tail, which is quite tremendous, if I may compliment.” The appendage was indeed a decadent beauty in Vernon's eyes. Though you would be hard-pressed to explain this to a demon without insulting them, “I'll tell him. Though, he said you would refuse.”

As gradually as he dared, Scapegoat shrunk back from the looming wrath of Milicondras. Meanwhile his face held a reassuring kindness, apparently devoid of any malice, “His Majesty did this as a courtesy. He's genuinely looking forward to coming back here himself. Wanted to meet some more of your friends.” The ghoul's innocent delight maintained, “That last one he took home with him – screams all the time. We think he's just lonely.”

Miley's anger skipes and she grabs scapegoats head with one hand and beats him with the other.

"JUST SHUT UP! JUST SHUT UP AND LEAVE ME ALONE!"

Miley realizes what shes doing and stops dropping scape goat on the ground.

"Just tell him what i said got it!"

The savage and ruthless barrage fell to Vernon's advantage. In truth, her first blow killed him. Stone dead. Yet every second strike brought with it new life. For the duration, Scapegoat's vitality flickered like a lightbulb, until mercifully it stopped. The ghoul did not wake up dead. His patchwork thoughts finally stablised, Mission accomplished.

Eyes, tinted yellow, gazed up at the princess. Despite the beating, there was still genuine warmth in them, "As you say. Always at your family's service." Insinuating the fate of her friend's soul had all been a bluff. Something of his own invention. Scapegoat did not know the poor bloke that'd come between her and His Majesty. Though it gave this spoiled child something to think about. Running away to play human would only end in tears.

"It's awfully nice of you, but don't try to kill me again. I'll find my own way back." Scapegoat scrambled out of the pebbles and sauntered back the way he had arrived. Only returning briefly to pick up his notepad, "Any chance of- n-never mind."

Miley watches as he leaves her eyes returing to normal "see i told you i wouldn't kill him ....... what? did you not hear what he said about tony? Miley tony was a goody goody theres no way hes down there .... yeah guess your right...." Miley then walks off heading back to the tower.
