Hope for the Stars (Joy)

Bow blinked as she watched him struggling against himself it seemed. She was confused and didn't put two and two together that he was fighting the very feeling that had encompassed her heart and mind. There was no battle for her, because she had already lost a while ago. As he asked the question and his ring came off, so did his clothes. Her eyes wandered all along his body, admiring every facet of him. She looked back into his eyes, full of lust. "I'm saying I want you, Mark... Here. Now." She sat up and smiled her sexiest smirk as he started to crawl to her. Her body though had taken notice of his getting rid of the only thing that might disrupt her thought, and she took her ring off with ease, placing it on the table. Her clothes came off without her even acknowledging them and she bit her bottom lip once more, trying to entice him.

Mark didn't want to fight anymore, he couldn't help it. The temptation, the feeling, the raging impulse was more than he could bare, The brazen in between his thighs demanded this. His pumping heart, which was almost visibly noticeable, beating in his chest demanded it, and most of all, Bow's tantalizing, words, smooth glistening skin, and provocative glare mixed with an erotic stance also fully commanded Mark to make his move. "Ok...If you're sure." Mark said with his steel eyes glazed over as his body and mind dwelled solely on how completely focus on how he was going to go about pleasing her methodically, like a general constructing a perfect strategy for victory. The moment leading up to it seemed to last for a century as one hand moved from the side of her hip and slid to the top of her shoulder. The other hand he placed on her flat washboard stomach and ran it up gently too, caressing just beneath her breasts and then leaned in for the kiss when fate decided to intervene. A scream, and then another loud scream, followed by a thump!

That's when it came all firing back to Mark; their reason for being here...Two nations were supposed to be at war very soon! Wait, what was that!? BOOM! a fire erupted in the city as bomb went off for distraction, visible from their window and then the sound of at least a dozen blades clanking could be heard outside their door. In response Mark quickly jumped up from Bow, and wobbled over to where he dropped his ring and slipped it back on, half way drowning out the effects of the aphrodisiac. Although, the back of his mind still kept telling him all this commotion was nothing, go back and finish what you started, but his duty came first. "Something's going down out there...THE KING!?!" It would seem the celebration for the Lanterns' was the exact opportunity the resistance had been waiting for. They knew during this time, the King would be at his most vulnerable and Mark & Bow had fell into their trap as well, hook, line, and sinker. How could I have been so stupid and careless?!

Bow's heart raced in expectant elation as Mark began to caress her body. All of her senses were wholly focused on him and she wasn't thinking of anything else. It even took her a moment after he had jumped away from her to realize there was anything happening outside this small room. The sounds of outside only barely came into her conscious. It wasn't until mark said something about the king that she began to fight back against the intoxication.

King? What Ki-Aw crap!! W-what am I doing!? She looked down and saw her naked body for what seemed like the first time ever and then looked back to Mark blushing from head to toe. She looked all around and quickly found her ring and shoved it on her finger, with a bit of extra force. The fumes were still getting to her and she had a major headache as she stood up, trying her best to fight off the feelings she was still having. To help, she tried to not look at Mark. "S-sorry... I can't think straight... What do we need to do?" She was holding her head and looking down at the ground away from Mark, trying to collect herself.

"We need to do our jobs, and that means to keep hope alive, which we can't do if the king is DEAD!" Mark yelled at the end of his statement and busted open then door with a big blue boot and immediately examined the scene taking place.

There were paladins of the resistance sporting a foreign staff like weapon and had helmets that shot a bright blue concentrated beam out of them outside heading down the hall to the king's chambers. The force made quick work of a few of the guards and were at the moment relentlessly tearing through the few other intoxicated guards trying to reach the king's chamber. There was about 7 of them and the back 4 noticed Mark and two immediately turned and fired their eye beams upon him while the other two charged forward to melee attack him from the front. In quick reaction, Mark created a spinning top construct in front of him the size of a plasma screen and made it spin deflecting the beams (one upward and one downward at an angle, causing them to instead slice through the ceiling and floor. Meanwhile, TL looked behind him to give Bow instructions; "Grrrrghhh, quick to the king's chambers! I can handle them, the King can't die or the city will fall through loss of moral." Mark then turned back and tried to think of what he would do to stop the other two approaching paladins.

Bow stood in shock for what seemed to be an eternity but in actuality was only a split second as she was given orders. She wanted to disobey him and help, but knew he was right and that he could handle it. Or at least, she hoped he could. At that she went for the wall, phasing through with a slight difficulty considering she was still intoxicated and after every wall something in her mind told her to go back to Mark, there wasn't a need to save the king. Y-yes there is... The whole planet needs me to be on my best!! She found new hope in her words and phased quickly down the hall, ignoring the acts that were right in front of her.

Mark noticed the others were coming, but he was stuck in a deadlock battle with the one that was shooting at him. In response he shot forwardth the top into the one firing at him. The blue light top construct was able to whirl right through the beam and plowed into the assailant and then as the other two approached, Mark created duel swords and blocked both of their incoming attacks. However, this didn't turn out to be the best tactic because both of them began to continuously double team and attack him while the Lantern blocked. The Teen Lantern was barely was able to keep from being harmed at his current level of melee fighting. Don't have time for this, Bow and the King need me. With that thought in mind, Mark ducked a swipe from one of the attackers and shot two beams from his own eyes, simulating Superman's heat vision and blew him back. Then created about six more blue light constructed arms from his backside, immolating the Buddhism deity Asura and sported a different weapon in each palm, which he used to battle back the lone fighter into submission. The final blow Mark landed knocked off the perpetrator's helmet, showing he had been defeated, but the Blue Lantern didn't stop to profile him. Instead he took off after Bow, hoping he would arrive to give her back up in time.

Bow finally phased through the king's wall only to find that a rebel had busted down the door while two others were fighting the guards outside the door. Bow looked to the rebel and then to the king. The rebel did the same to her. She instantly wrapped a blue shield around the king as the rebel shot a blast right behind her, luckily aimed at the king as well. She then put one hand out and he shot another blast at her only to have her absorb the energy. "I do not wish to harm you. We want to reach a peaceful resolution. Please stop this violence." The rebel seemed to consider her words until two more showed up with plans of their owns. Before she had time to open her mouth again she was backing up to a wall throwing up shields where need be. "Please! Stop this!" She was struggling to keep both the shield on the king and her own smaller shields as they cornered her. She hoped that Mark would get there soon, she wasn't used to fighting yet. It had never been a strong point.

As they closed in, one of the taller rebels began to attack the others hitting one square in their hip with it's staff, which was a weaker area for these aliens then their heads as it collapses to the floor in pain and then shot the other with a blue laser from his hand and with another big blue blast crushed the ceiling over the doorway to the kings chamber. A moment later the helmet of this rebel was removed and was shown to be Mark. "Sorry, I altered my clothes to match theirs to avoid anymore confrontation that would hold me up before reaching you guys. Good thing I did to, are you okay Bow?" Mark asks Bow and the king and then turns back to the doorway. "This is insane, we gotta stop this tonight before an entire war breaks out."

Bow stood in shock as she watched one of the rebels attacking the others. Tge confusion causing the shield around the king to dissipate. It didn't make sense until she saw the blue blast. As Mark removed his helmet, she couldn't help but smile brilliantly at his cleverness. As he spoke she jusy nodded in response to his question and then thought for a moment before speaking. "What are we going to do? Try and talk? It doesn't sen that's going to wirk... But I'm not a good fighter either... I wish we could like, find the leader and get an audience with him... Maybe we can convince him?"
