Introduction to magic (hive classroom)

Malharon turned to face her and said. "There is a spell in transmutation called polymorph. This spell allows the caster to alter the form of their opponent into anything of their choosing. Say you pick a fight with a master wizard and he decides to turn you into a pebble, then what, that is why my class is here so you'll know what to do for those then what situations. Do you understand Miss Temrin? Or would you just wait for the spell to end. In that case I should inform you that the effect is permanent, It will never just wear off." He started walking up the steps toward the back of the class as his hand filled with black energy. "This class is completely raw magic, It currently has no form or affect, any guesses on what it does?"

Detention? Say what? ( )

Pix collapsed onto the desk board in front of him. This was completely unjust. Though he supposed the classroom had its own wacked-out rules anyhow. There was very little in the way of fairness and student rights he could argue with. Just because he missed a word or two at the start of the lesson. He could have been tying his shoelaces at the time! Cut him some slack.

And the question. All those other words had a chance of being answered. There was no way he could've realised what that symbol was called unless he'd learned this rubbish. The rubbish that they had yet to teach him. Old Malharon had obviously missed a step. It goes 'teach', 'ask question', 'then punish'. They weren't bloody psychic... Okay, the majority of them weren't psychic. It was the same as asking back what his pencil was called. There was no conceivable way Teach could have known.

Malharon deserved a detention. ( )

Fortunately being bummed out didn't last long for Pix. Hydra was now giving Teach some shtick. Her latter comment actually made him laugh. At least he wasn't going to be alone in detention. In fact, "Is boredom magic too? Can we defend against that?" Already in detention, might as well back up his peers here.

Malharon turned toward Pix and smiled as he said seriously. "You are Pix correct? I'm amazed that you would know, but yes boredom can be caused by magic. Through a simple Charm spell you can influence someone, causing them to become bored would lower their defenses. Your detention is removed." He had ignored the later comment by Hydra and thrown the small ball against the symbol on a portable white board causing it to explode violently.
Mal walked to the board and said. "Please note the schools and their effects and come up with some possible spells that could be used. Magic is capable of nearly anything, in order to defend you have to be creative."

Mal turned to face Hydra and said rather seriously. "Miss Temrin, if your going to try casting a spell at least have a wand or some will in it." he walked down the stairs wondering how many would think it was actually a real spell. He took his place at the podium and said to the class "Please return for class in a week. For homework come up with any ideas for spells. Class dismissed."
