"I'm no Doctor but, I think Pix will be fine in a few moments. Y'know, as long as another Golem doesn't sit on him"

Mia said as she rose from the kneeling position to standing, looking in Lance's direction. If any more Golems showed up, it could be just the two of them holding them off whilst Pix gets his act together.

For a moment, it looked as though all the earth golems had been destroyed. However, the ground nearby would shatter as something large came crawling up through the surface. It was a diamond golem.

This golem stood 18 feet tall, and was clearly much stronger than the previous golems. It's body was made of pure diamonds, making it essentially unbreakable. On top of that, a magical aura of some sort seemed to be surrounding this golem, which prevented Lance from using his powers on it!

And it was fast. In two seconds, it ran 200 feet to reach the three HIVE students. It swiped a giant hand at Lance and Hydra, hoping to hit them from the side and send them flying.

That was one close call, as Hydra narrowly managed to dive out of the way of the giant Diamond Golem's hand just in time. She fell down, but quickly rolled to a kneeling position. This was... This was going to be one hell of a test; and for the moment it looked as though it would be up to just Lance and Mia. As Mia scoped the situation, the pulsating blast from a rifle speeded past her. She looked back over her shoulder for a fw moments, noticing H.I.V.E's latest toy; Zero. Standing far back, looking down the sight of his Pulse Rifle. Mia turned back to the Golem, a slight smirk across her face. Seems back-up was in effect now.

Fissure was about to grab Hydra to take her underground to dodge the attack, but noticed that she had already jumped out of the way from the attack. Fissure would just continue to go underground by himself to dodge the swinging fists of the crystalline figure. Fissure would go through the rock underground so that he would appear behind the large diamond golem. Lance would then pop out of the ground and launch himself at the diamond figure thinking he could easily smash this golem as well. Fissure would land a hard punch to the back of the diamond golem's head that he thought would essentially knock off the head, but when he hit the aura of the magic around it would give a flash, preventing the diamond from being shattered.

"How!?"

The diamond golem was about to reach over to grab Lance off of his back, but then the diamond golem would get his with the shot of a pulse rifle from the other new H.I.V.E. recruit, Zero. Fissure would kick off of the golem and side-flip off of the golem, landing softly on his feet. Fissure would look over towards Zero and Hydra.

"Something's blocking my powers from breaking this one to rubble."

The Golem looked rather angry at the sight of being shot from Zero's pulse rifle. He let out a colossal roar before starting to charge in Hydra/Zero's direction. Hydra's hands would pulsate with an aqua blue glow, blasting water from her hands towards the Golem. The high pressured water was aimed at the head mainly, so the Golem raised his arm to cover his face; blocking a good chunk of the water from his line of sight. Hydra kept the pressure on, but it didn't seem to be doing anything but slowing the Golem down. Zero ran out of cover, kneeling down beside Mia as he aimed down the scope of his rifle; shooting out several shots towards the mid-section of the Gollem. The shots would buffer the Golem back a step or so, but that was it.

"Miss Mia, I have reached a consensus that you should preserve your energy. Our assault seems inadequate for this task"

Mia would take Zero's advice, and stop the blast of water. The Golem would now begin his charge towards the two again; but Zero grabbed Mia as he fled from the Gollem's path himself. The two regrouped near Lance; they needed a plan.

"Any suggestions?"

“Well I can super-size.”

A weary looking Pix floated over, once more back on a Tetris block. Yet his recovery would appear to be still in effect. Most of his body had reconfigured, but he was still missing his entire lower abdomen and legs. ( Bored

) Each of which were gradually returning via a stream of silver squares.

“Honest. Lead it back towards the city. I'll meet you half way with some more ammo. Ten minutes, tops. Guarantee it'll give us an edge.” His mind was thinking of the mega-screen back in the down-town central plaza. Stripping that clean would allow him to add extra layers to his default form, effectively growing into a humongous version of himself. Pix had never done it before to any substantial factor. Certainly not tried to fight while maintaining it all.

“It's not a solution.” He relented with an attempted desolate shrug, “So if one of you guys want to join the brain trust here, by my guest.” If anyone suggested 'hit it harder' he was so not coming back.

A few beeps from Zero as he surveyed the scene, taking in what Pix suggested. He turned to Hugh as he finished, adding his own two cents.

"While it is a good idea Master Hugh. We've seen the efforts of Master Lance fail to damage the Gollem. There is nothing to suggest that you would be able to do anything better. If I may propose a change to your plan Master Hugh. Damage Control. The Golem can move fast when he wants too, and if he caught just one of us; he could knock us down for good. Our best bet may be trapping the Golem, stop him from moving and then; hitting him as best we can"

The diamond golem was annoyed by the Zero's attacks. Now that its opponents were running away, it let out a roar before charging after them. Jumping 50 feet into the air, the diamond golem came crashing down in the middle of the HIVE students, cracking the earth beneath and creating a powerful shockwave.

Again Fissure would be cut off in mid-statement by the diamond golem. For him and everyone else he would lift each person off of the ground with a levitating stone platform, including himself. Fissure would bring everyone towards him and a bit away from the golem. Lance would look at everyone else in the group. Fissure would sort of lose his calm demeanor at this moment. Fissure would close his fists , and you could hear the leather of his gloves tighten together.

"You guys think of something, I'm gonna pound away at this thing until it breaks. Everything has a breaking point."

Fissure would say as he would then lift his hand up causing five large spires of rock to come out of the ground. He would turn then so that the point would be aimed at the golem. Fissure would then do a series of punch and kicks that sent the spires one by one towards the golem. The first one would hit the golem right in the chest causing it to stumble back slightly. The next two would come in rapid succession at both of his shoulders. The next would catch the golem right under the chin. The golem seemed it would about to tip back over and the last spire was coming right at its chest. The golem though would quickly gain its composure and catch the fifth spire. Lance would us his powers so that he could surf across the ground. He would go to the right flank of the golem as it threw the spire back at Fissure. Lance would punch it causing it to break into rubble. Fissure was making a good distraction of himself for the golem.

"While everyone knows this; we must think fast. The Golem shows no signs of structural weakness so far; if Master Lance spends energy on distracting the Golem. We may lack the correct fire power for our best chance of an assault"

Zero said, a few beeps followed as he glanced around at the battlefield; surveying it.

"Party Bot is right, we need to think fast. So like... I can help you get back to the city quick; Pix... Don't know about getting you back though, and then we just have to blast our way through him, right?"

Mia had asked, posing the question to Zero and Pix; mainly Pix. Every now and then Mia glanced over her shoulder, looking on as Lance went head to head with the Golem. HIVE needed a plan, and fast.

For a moment Pix had shuddered in recall at the overarching treads of the golem. But there was enough time now to dodge, and the H.I.V.E students gave yet more ground to the crystal juggernaut. Moving fast sent a new wave of pain through Hugh's rapidly repairing body. If he ever found a way to kill his pain receptors, he was taking it.

Fissure had evidently done enough waiting around for one day. A contempt look followed the earth specialist with his simplistic philosophies into battle (>_>). Fine, get clobbered. Pix could tell Fissure from personal experience that it wasn't fun. Only the sprite man had the luxury of being able to recover. For all his bravado and experience, Lance couldn't use his powers on the golem. He was as outclassed as the rest of them.

To the robot's analysis of the situation, Pix shook his head, “You going to stop him?” Hydra then provided a suggestion of consideration, “Faster than flying? Pfft.” His immediate dismissal, however, was countered by recollections of her running the beginner's simulation. Hydra was pretty inventive with her abilities. She may actually have a plan (0_0) “Well go on then! If you get me there in less than four minutes, I owe you a soda.”

Lance's attacks caused the golem to stumble back, but not for long. Catching the final rock spire, the diamond golem would throw it back. Seeing its opponent shatter the projectile angered the golem more. The golem followed the distraction and started chasing Lance around.

Fissure was sure to dodge the attacks as the golem slammed and cracked the ground. However, things would not stay so easy. The golem ripped its own left arm off and threw it at Lance at a high speed. The diamond projectile could still not be controlled by the HIVE student.

If the attack missed, the golem would pick up the arm and try again.

"You'll owe me a Soda then... Guessing Zero is going to help out Lance?"

"Try not to let go Pix"

Miz ran towards Pix, grabbing him by the arm. Next thing you knew, Mia pulled him along with her up into the air; manipulating currents in the wind to speed towards Jump City, and the Downtown Central Plaza. This was much faster than flying; gliding through the air as the wind forces you along. A stream of wind was left behind them, returning to normal soon after.

As they arrived in Downtown Jump City; Mia came to a stop. She knew Pix could fly, so let him go so he may supersize. She levitated in the air, waiting on Pix. Neither of the two had any clue of how long Lance and Zero could keep the Golem busy.

"Whatever you got to do; do it"

Meanwhile back in the forest; Zero had created some distance between the Golem and himself. As he saw the Golem rip his arm off and throw it; he figured this would be the best time to attack. From his Pulse Rifle he shot the joint at which the arm joins the body with a few coonsecuitive blasts. The Golem shook off the shots; they did nothing.

Pix landed on another airborne platform. His legs were shaking, “Never. Doing that. Again.” It wasn't that he'd never rode a jet-stream before, just he'd been inside a nice cosy airplane at those times. Without a layer of metal to give confidence, the speed was positively terrifying, “T-This way.” He swept around the next corner so that the great mega-screen was in sight. The same screen that he'd used to beat the Blue Lantern (as he would tell everyone).

“Last time I used this it was to kick Teen Lantern's ass.” And so he would keep on telling everyone, “You wanna divert traffic down there? I don't need a car knocking me off balance while I try this.” With a wave of concentration, Hugh peeled the pixels clear of the screen. The small squares quickly became a tidal wave of silver. Pix landed at ground level, focusing the pixels around him like a tornado. They connected with his body, adding layer upon layer until his head was on level with the deadened screen itself.

“Ha! That shouldn't have worked.” Naturally people had stopped what they were doing to take cover from what they perceived as an attack. And truthfully, now would be the perfect time to attack. While both Nighthawks and Titans were occupied, “There's never enough time in the day for pillaging. Come on Hydra.” Hopefully the others could wait a further couple minutes for him to stomp his way back.

Well that certainly was an odd sight to behold; seeing Pix super-size with the reactions of people around. In a way, now Mia felt even shorter next to giant Pix; not a great feeling. But they had no time to exchange comments; Lance and Zero couldn't play cat and mouse forever; they need some reinforcements. Hydra flew up to Pix's eye level and nodded.

"...just so you know, before we head back; your butt does look big in that"

A chuckle followed, and Hydra would fly back towards the forest at the same speed Pix walked. They are a coming!
