| She'd held tight as the jet banked and turned. This world was unusual and strange, but she was really enjoying this ride. As they tilted sideways though she looked up and saw how close they were coming to crashing, and somehow she knew that it'd really hurt if they did that. No time to transform herself either, not without possibly squashing the guy keeping them flying.
"Sorry." she muttered, before smashing her way through the cockpit and praying that it wouldn't disrupt the entire construct.
She squeezed her way through the hole and used her claws to cling to the top of the jet, flattening her half-human form against it.
"Can you get us closer? I can try and snatch him out of the air, like I did to you earlier..."

| Whoever the architect was for this city block, they must have wanted to use up every single inch of development space available to them. No side-passages to sneak down, not even a bridge to duck under. Just an endless expanse of buildings purposely designed to let a jet down them! Town hall was going to find something vaguely consequential missing if he didn't make it out of this. Well, after the academy had recovered him from the authorities. Though he'd never make a passing grade then.
Desperately, Pix soared over a rooftop to gain access into the adjoining street. They were very swiftly heading away from the docks. But fortunately he knew what avenue they were approaching instead. Barely ahead was a huge intersection. The sparse activity of the morning did not do it justice to how busy things could get. He was not here for people though, Pix saw the crowning glory of the square. A huge display screen looming over it all displaying adverts. It may not have had anything on the one in Times Square, but it was one hell of a sight to him.
The pixelated pilferer slowed just a little. His arms responded with a dull ache. Speed flying was not best suited to the transportation he possessed. But if all went according to plan, he could rest his limbs and finally stick it to the do-gooder who hounded him. How close was that jet now anyway...?

| Mark thought of mentioning something about the girl being a daredevil when she broke through his cockpit, which was amazing within itself by the way, but also climbed outside onto the jet while it was moving at such high speeds and was able to cling on. Although, he quickly dismissed mentioned the comment when he realized how much of a stupid cliche' pun it would really be. Then the demon girl spoke of how she would help if only he could get a bit closer, but Mark didn't need to get closer for her to get the drop on him. All he needed was some good aim. "Here, I can do you one better. I hope you can handle high impact though, because I rather not get you two killed just to get back some expensive stuff." No objects were worth a sentient being's life. This was part of the value system Mark Rowan possessed that made him worthy of being a Blue Lantern in the first place.
That being said, Mark began to close in on the boy while constructing a new hatch over his broken cockpit, which also continued to grow into a large canon like covering over the girl. However, Mark couldn't keep up this speed and fire. So after Pix peculiarly stopped and TL felt he had a good enough range. He locked onto the super powered felon and shot her straight at him! Upon doing so his jet also exploded and Mark went spiraling through the air horizontally towards the ground. As stated before, he could really attack like that and hold constructs together while flying. Too much division for his mind, which was just grasping being a ring slinger. In fact, Teen Lantern was barely able catch himself before impact and floating up. He definitely did not having enough time to see if he had really hit his target or not, although he hoped it wasn't the latter.

| She'd barely had time to hear what the Lantern had said before she found blue aura wrapping around her in a cannon shape, she knew that she was about to go for a ride so she wrapped her arms around her body and prepared for the blast.
BANG!
She felt the kick and then found herself propelled forward, from the muzzle of the construct and sensed more than saw the Lantern fall from the now broken jet shape. She had no time to worry about him though, only to hope that he would be able to save himself in some way. She was now closing in on the blurry felon. Some instinct made her roll herself into a ball, her tail loose so it acted as a whip. She also had the urge to shout something memorable...

| A quick array of slaloms reduced his speed significantly. Pix was slow-going enough now to kneel confidently on the mid-air platform. He set his eyes on the target of the display screen and set his powers in motion. From a lower corner, the pixels began to peel off like a fine film. The screen portion where it lifted from went solid black. Dud, dead. The sheer amount of pixels here would let him-
“Eep!” A screaming furball was rocketing towards him at untold speeds. Pix only had enough time to brace for impact. The meteoric attack knocked him clean out the sky, snapping Hugh clean in two even. The collision with the ground was not that much more ideal. His body shattered into its constituents, then slowly began the reconstruction process.
A form resembling his head was the first to come into being. The sensation of near-total deatomisation was naturally playing havoc with his mind. His eyes spun (@.@) making little headway in the identification of the world, as pixels drifted determined to rebuild his torso from scratch. Everything seemed to be in pain. Pix had no idea where his stolen goods had gotten too or even his legs. At least one of those would find him on its own without him needing to go anywhere. Just one question ran through his mind. What had hit him?

| TL was steadily approaching on foot and wobbly at that. He had a headache, the loud explosion had caused a annoying ringing in his head, which was keeping him from focusing his mind. Mark was smart enough to know using the ring while this effect was on him could be pretty bad, like driving drunk, and decided to proceed on foot.
As he ran to the location huffing and puffing it could be seen that the Hope Lantern was holding his aching head with one hand as if trying to rub the pain away. Nevertheless, from a distance it appeared that it had all been worth it. It seemed as though the demon girl had hit the target and succeeded in taking him down, but of course, Mark could only be sure when he got there.

| Her hit had been spot on, knocking the blurred felon from the sky. And breaking him. She'd never broken a person before, and although one part of her was delighting in having managed a new unreached level of destruction a part of her hoped that the guy wasn't hurt...
"That was... interesting." she groaned, having hit the screen and bounced off, landing on its base. "Hurt a little though... what a rush!" and she giggled.
She looked down at the street below and saw the blurred one reforming. Good, at least he hadn't been killed... she hoped. She suddenly noticed a bag hanging from one of the struts of the screen that held it in place... the things he'd taken! She stretched out her hands and prepared to attempt to climb down to grab it... and hopefully ignore the voice in her head telling her to throw it and see how far it would fly.

| The immediate surroundings seemed to consist of some road bollards and a light change switch. Pix found himself on a traffic island central to the local intersection. His head lay sideways on the tarmac, unwilling to sacrifice its comfort by moving. An indefinable distance away was the huge display screen he'd rushed here to mess with. The pixels that were already stripped littered the ground and blew around like crisp packets in the wind. A figure moved up on high and after a while Hugh recognised it.
Her. The nameless one. What the hell, why throw her at me?
Even more aggravating was that she appeared to be taking the collision better than he was. If she had joined forces with the Lantern then he didn't stand a chance in his current condition. Hugh flexed his reconstructed hands and thought about that seriously for a moment. The mega-monitor afforded him a lot of building material. Yet she would tear them to pieces, and even a wrong colour Lantern was better at creating constructs. Plus there was the sudden onset of a migraine. To fight was to fail. So then; perhaps he didn't have to fight them?
Finally shifting his body, Pix turned and saw Teen Lantern also in a sorry state. Poor fool's day was about to get a lot worse, “Alright. We'll call it a draw.” He didn't stand, his legs still hadn't arrived, “As soon as you give me my bag back, we can go our separate ways.”

| As Mark arrived back on scene while still holding his aching head a bit, he could see though his consistently unblurring vision that the girl demon was seemingly ok. Good. I can stop worrying. In addition to noticing that the perp. was putting his body back together again. Well he wouldn't be able to do it in time to stop TL form entrapping him in a light shield bubble as soon as his migraine died down in a minute or so. Just had to talk to him until then.
"Hehe, riiiight a draw...Well I dunno how hard she hit you buddy, I can only imagine really, but it must've been pretty hard because you're in no position to be trying to ask for anything right now. This bag never belonged to you and you had your chance to leave earlier, but chose to take a different route instead and now here we are." As TL spoke he tried forming that bubble shield, but all that was coming out of his ring was gurgling blue goo...Not good, head trauma was screwing with his thought process and therefore his constructs. "But, don't worry if you promise to come along quietly, I promise to make your constraints a little more comfortable and I'll tell your old pal there to stay away from you. Sound good?"

| She'd now gotten within reaching distance of the bag, and reached down to it...
Hey, that looks breakable you know...
She shook her head, taking a slightly tighter grip on the metal bar she was clinging to. She stretched and managed to grab the bag.
Go on... throw it... you know you want to...
She wasn't entirely sure what happened then, but the next thing she knew her arm had pulled back and suddenly the bag was flying through the air.
"Oops..." she said, but couldn't help grinning too before realising that the blue energy guy was probably not going to like this. "Better catch it!" and she pushed off from the struts and dived after the bag.

| “Counter proposal!” Hugh was keen to inject, “If you'd like to look up.” The commotion caused by the collision had doubtless attracted the attention of one or two pedestrians still about at this time. They stopped to observe. An audience was most welcome to this. Had Hugh known of the Lantern's own current vulnerability he would have attempted to strike, but in ignorance he had a backup plan.
“Yes, at the quarter Pepsi ad.” He began to raise his voice, and with difficulty, pointed at the bottom left screen corner that seemed to be missing all its pixels. An inky black blot engulfed a portion of the display, “With my power I can strip pixels from their very surface. Yes, that screen is tarnished; irreversibly broken. A replacement could cost the city government thousands of dollars. Not including fitting costs and lost advertising revenue in the meanwhile.”
Now Pix pointed lower to where the demon seemed to be after something, “My bag, on the other hand, only totals in the hundreds of dollars. The deal goes like this. You give me what I earned, and I'll fix your monitor. I'm the only person who can undo the damage of my own ability. Else that display is as good as lost.”
“So Teen Lantern. The question is: are you another one of those heroes who puts his pride before the people?” Tch, fighting indeed. A bit of brains was all it took, and the hero would be the one to hand him the loot.
A complication arose, however. As Pix turned back round, he noticed something go airborne. No! This wasn't a bagful of cash or durable jewellery he carried, it was electronics. Fragile, breakable electronics. And the demon just flung them? “Yeah, catch that would ya...?”

| Mark decided to humor the poor sap and looked up. At first he was confused at what he was looking at and folded his arms, but then Pix explained his proposition and what exactly he could do. Mark then looked back and forwardth between the villain and his handiwork while considering his proposal. This is usually the point where more intimidating heroes would threaten their foes until they gave in to what they wanted and fixed it anyway as well as agreeing to go to jail. However, that wasn't Mark's style, he was kind of a sappy guy and tried to usually work things out peacefully. "Ya know, you're a smart guy. I really don't understand why your a baddie or I guess, a thief, for a better term. I get what you're saying and ya, the better option would be to let you go in this instance, but I've got tomorrow to worry about and then the next day. So sorry, but if I put you behind bars now you couldn't do any more damage anyway in the future, which in the long run beats the damage you caused today."
Not to mention any additional damage he does before I bring him in now will just add to his sentence. Mark was also a pretty bright kid, he knew how to handle a guy like this without getting too physical. He just needed to reason back with him is all. "So the real question is...Is it worth a couple thou. to make sure you stay locked away? I dunno, you tell me, are you even THAT big of a threat?" Mark smiled at that, while Pix looked up to see something the Teen Lantern obviously didn't. His loot was falling from the sky?! That girl had just tossed the stolen goods, what the heck!? Upon the utterance of Pix's request to catch the loot TL had already started to make a construct, but again couldn't fully get it to form. Therefore, he instead quickly flew towards the rapidly descending bag. "Damn, ya I'll be right back. Don't go anywhere, kay?"
The Blue Lantern said this in more of a joking, yet serious manner, obviosuly knowing that Pix was still missing some limbs and probably couldn't leave without them. In the mean time Mark barely skidded across the concrete in time to catch the bag of electronics at the end of his daring baseball slide. A deep sigh immediately escaping the Lantern's mouth as he held the bag and frowned. All of this trouble over a bit of equipment...Wow. Well it's the principle of the matter he guessed, that was what's important here.

| On her descent from her jump, trying to grab the bag she noticed that the blue energy guy was running for it. Seemed likely he'd catch it too. That was good. What wasn't good was unless she altered her flight path she'd plow into him too!
She quickly rolled in midair, trying desperately to direct herself away from the Lantern. She only just managed it, but had no time to land on her feet and so bounced across the tarmac on her front stopping a short distance away from the Lantern. She lay there for a minute, trying to regroup her thoughts. She was tough it was true but it helped to land on her feet... and she could distinctly feel a pain in her right shoulder, meaning she'd probably dislocated the joint at the top of her arm.
Damn. | |

| “But...” Teen Lantern had said no. The unexpected reply dampened Hugh's spirits. He'd thought the argument won.
His resolution had everything. Real life perspective, narrowing of alternate options, hinting that the compromise grants both parties a victory, negative character reflection in case of refusal. The theory was completely foolproof. But it hadn't worked. Hugh's father always made negotiations sound so easy. And yet his son could never put it into practice. Just didn't have the knack.
Pix was now bitter, extremely so. He'd promised not to let this sort of stuff get to him anymore, but it was just impossible. His face betrayed the inner fury. (>﹏<) Was he worth a couple thou? To a stranger no, he shouldn't have been. By calculation, his escape meant little to the hero. Hadn't the guy already offered him a clean slate once before? It made him feel stupid, to predict so wrongly.
If reasoning failed him then he could only pound his message into people. Make them regret not conforming to his expectations earlier. This in a way was the answer to another question. Pix was a baddie because he was smart, though not capable. At times the frustration was not bearable.
The Lantern's unconventional use of the ring had not gone unnoticed. He was weaker, vulnerable. With great application of his abilities, Pix finished what he'd started with the mega-monitor and stripped those pixels free like dominoes. They fell steeply to their targets, neither girl nor boy would escape the onslaught. The clumps of matter closed up on each other in groups and began to form shapes. Simple shapes like squares, triangles and spheres; Hugh couldn't waste effort on creativity. And though these weapons he wielded were fragile, it was only in the sense that a vase breaking over your head was fragile. With the added advantage of these breakables being readily reformed.
The barrage commenced, “Yeesh. Maybe I am worth a couple thou...”

| As he caught the bag of loot he noticed that the demon girl had just barely missed him luckily, but unluckily for her, it appeared she was injured. Teen Lantern was still a bit fuzzy as he moved to check on her and couldn't put her arm in a blue sling or cast like he would've liked to, but he was mentally stable enough to noticed the falling pixels heading towards the people. Mark looked on flabbergasted, the length this guy was going to were ridiculous...Even if he could've mustered, somehow miraculously, to get a dome over the heads of the people to block the pixels, he probably wouldn't even have enough hope in him to do so. The Blue Lantern recruit was rather new to this superhero business and it jut blew his mind that someone was actually willing to hurt all these innocent by standards for their own well being. Where was the shame, the dignity, the honor? Heck, where was his conscience!?
"No wait, STOP!" Mark yelled out while on his knees, while hoping that the pixel master could halt these creations of his in mid air. "Ok, here you go, I'm giving it you. You can have the bag, and you can make your getaway, just please leave the people alone. Their innocent in all this, you don't need to hurt them!" TL yelled all this out while tossing the stolen goods towards Pix. He wasn't even able to just hand them to the HIVE student using the ring at the moment. Although, his mind would clear soon enough. "Captuing you is definately not worth these people's safety." And there you have it, the Lantern had thrown in the towel and azll it took was putting a few dozen people or so in danger to do it. As he said this last part he even put his hands behind his back to show he had sheathed his weapon.
