Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Nope, it's falling (Open to TE)

The sun was now starting to set in Jump City and the sky was a lovely shade a red with the sun looking more orange than the usual yellow. Seen standing on the roof of the Titan East Tower was Superboy. He was sick of waiting around and hoping that his powers somehow develop on their own, if he wanted them he knew that he was going to have to go out and train to get them, that’s where the Tower comes in. With it being so tall it would be the perfect place to develop one of his most practical powers. As he stood on the edge of the Tower a slight breeze blew through his hair, conditions were almost perfect to try this. As he took a deep breath Superboy would then jump from the roof of the Tower, he didn’t put any strength behind it just a normal jump. He tried concentrating on a cloud in the sky, hoping that he would just keep going up and up towards the cloud, but unfortunately it wasn’t that easy and he soon realised that as he started plummeting to the ground before hitting it hard, creating a mini crater. He then got back up on his knees and started rubbing his head. “Damn it!”

Toji walked up to Superboy,his head cocked.He had been wandering around the park, thinking about his life right now as it is,about his new powers,the fact that he was the inheritor to the title of Cheif for the Okami Clan, and many other things."What're you doing, Big guy?"

As Superboy got back to his feet and dusted himself down he heard a voice and looked over to see that it had come from Toji, one of the more powerful members of the Titan East team, at least in terms of sheer strength. Conner would then rub the dirt out of his hair before he replied. "Just trying to force some of my powers to get off their butts and actually work"

Toji grinned,weaving and bobbing and throwing punches slowly, at least for him."How about we spar? Who knows,maybe I'll shock some of your powers into work." He stopped."Beside, I've been wanting to see what you got."

Now back on his feet Superboy would listen to what Toji was saying, was he serious, he wanted to spar with Superboy? "Sorry Toji I don't think shock therapy is gonna work, and I'm gonna have to turn down the offer to spar, I wouldn't want to hurt you too much." With a sly wink at the half demon Superboy would then leap up into the air and back onto the top of the Tower, ready to throw himself off again.

Toji frowned.Flashstepping beside Supes, he scowled comically."You know,you shouldn't refuse a half demons offer.He could suck out.....your SOUL!!!"Toji grinned."Naaah, just kidding.Anyway,what power you trying to activate?"

"Well..." Superboy would turn and look at Toji. "...I'm looking for trying to get flight working now and maybe a bit of super speed. If I got my super speed there would be no catching me but sadly I don't have it and I want flight for practical reasons so I just figure that if I keep dropping myself off the tower over and over again flight will kick in eventually."

Walking out of the tower to see what the noise was, Will looks around the ground and sees the crater along with Superboy and Toji standing inside of it. Walking over to them, Will watches Toji throw some fake jabs at Conner and then the two make their way up to the roof. Will follows the two by flying up the side of the tower and onto the roof top to see the two talking.

So you're trying to get more of your latent powers to work, Conner. Mind any help?

Superboy would look over as he heard another familiar voice, it was Will, who was showing off a little by flying. This might actually be a good idea, Will already has the power Superboy is looking to get and he knows how it works so maybe he could help Superboy develop it. "Sure, I suppose the more help the better"

What do you think will help activate your flight?

Will walks away from the edge of the tower to get closer to the two. He stops next to Toji.

For me, I concentrated on making myself push away from the ground.

"Well so far I've been focusing on a point in the sky and when I jump off I try to imagine myself flying towards it but so far that hasn't been working" Superboy would clench his fist, angry that it wasn't working. It probably wasn't the best way to try and develop it but it was his way

Really? Here, try this. Close your eyes and focus as much as you can on everything. My parents made me do this a lot in training. You'll want to calm yourself as much as possible and picture yourself being pushed away from the ground. Now when you think you've become in synced with it, open your eyes up and jump as hard as you can.

Superboy would stand there and listen to what Will was saying, he could understand Will's way of thinking about how to go about this, a calm mind would certainly help but that's just one thing Superboy wasn't that good at, remaining calm, but he thought he's give it a shot. Closing his eyes and trying to clear his mind Superboy would take a deep breath before throwing himself off the tower once again. While he was in the air this time he could have sworn he felt himself hover for like half a second before falling straight to the floor, making another crater. As he got up he would punch the ground in anger and let out a scream of rage, what little patience he had was gone now

Sighing at Superboy's impatience, Will walks over to the new crater in the roof. While he was in the air, Will noticed Superboy's split second hover. Will hastily grabs onto the wrist of Conner and pulls him up as he flies into the sky above the park.

Let's try this again, Con. I'm going to hold you up here for as long as it takes you to get into a calm mind again. When you find yourself centered, just keep the thought of being suspended from everything in your mind.

Toji nodded fast."Yes, find your chi!!!Like this!!"He folded his legs, sitting Indian style."Find the ball of energy in your navel, and concentrate!Ommm..."
