Mission #1: The Capture

Brianna forced a smile as she took Toji's hand. She was useless enough; she didn't want to make Toji worry on top of everything else.

'I'm fine. Let's go.'

The day was still young in Jump City. The battle between the new H.I.V.E. and Titans East had just finished about 15-20 minutes ago. The streets were gathering up with people again since the area was cleared now. Reporters were at the scene and it was just crowded. It was the perfect moment for Checkmate to hack all of the TV stations and all of the screens in the bustling Jump City. The people would all look up at the giant screen or would stop in front of the electronic store that had all the TVs up front. Everything was playing the same thing. It was a video recording of the fight that had just happened between the Titans and H.I.V.E. It played through watching as the H.I.V.E. beat the Titans and then it would play the highlights of the whole thing like when JaK was blown sky high and not seen from. The video would play over and over set on replay. In the background a voice would be heard.

"You see how weak your so called 'city heroes' are! We beat them, we humiliated them, they are your shame. They are no longer running this city of yours, oh no. This city is now under H.I.V.E. control! We will take on your Titans over and over again and the outcome will be the same.. them losing. You Titans have more on your plate than ever now. You lost your grasp on this city. Just give up now before we do what we did to Sage to each and every one of you."

The group would then be heard playing in the background as the video continued to play for a few more minutes and then would cut off, bringing back the regular channels that were on. This was played throughout Jump City causing the reporters to start making breaking news stories and the word spread even farther throughout the city. The word would spread like wildflower throughout the TVs, Internet , and on the streets. How the city was going to react was unknown at the moment...

It has probably been a few hours already that had passed after the events earlier. It had been many hours after the Titans and H.I.V.E. had fought each other and even more hours after they had gone to the hospital and the announcement earlier. Right now the city had just been recovering from the battle. The streets were closed off with construction crews and clean up crews. Cops had them blocked off with the barricades and yellow tape. The trucks were picking up the broken pavement that were on the ground and other trucks were throwing down new pavement to fill in the cracks and what not.

"Cricket, take out the cops over there. Checkmate, Rawhide go over and stop that clean up crew."

Grunts of agreement would be heard as they all went off of the roof they were on. Rawhide and Cricket easily landing on the ground with no problems at all. Checkmate would be on top of his rook bot and land on the ground causing cracks in the ground with his knight bot and pawn bots next to him. The cops would turn around and start running over to the scene to where the teens were coming down. The Cricket would go over and run to them. The cops would shoot at Cricket, but because of his exoskeleton ability he was able to easily take the shots. He would go and kick the cops out of his way keeping them at bay.

"At least try to make this fun!"

Cricket would yell out as then the view would span over to Rawhide and Checkmate. Rawhide would be pushing over one of the trucks that had some of the debris in it as the workers were jumping out of the truck yelling. Checkmate was on top of his rook bot commanding his pawn and rook bot to shoot their lasers at the trucks, blowing out the tires. workers would try to go and attack the teens with their pickaxes and shovels. Rawhide would roar out at them as his hands would transform and he would easily punch the workers all back.

"Where are them Titans so we can have a real fight!!!"

Rawhide would roar out at the workers. Out by the barricades where the cops were being fought of by the Cricket, news crews would start to swarm in by the dozens. Protege would then jump down and use his grappling line to swing around the light pole that was up and then land on the ground. He would nonchalantly walk over to the group of news cameras and grab onto one of them. He would look right into it.

"Where are you Titans? Hiding out in your little tower, maybe a bit scared to come out and play. Haha. C'mon guys we have a surprise for you too."

Protege would say as he would laugh and then push the camera guy with his camera onto the ground. He would pull out a couple of exploding disks and throw them at the cop cars that were there and blow them up. This would all be caught on the camera that was on the ground with a cracked screen and all the other cameras as well. The cars would blow up sky high as the cops would turn around allowing the Cricket to take advantage of the moment and knock them out as well. The group was in there just causing destruction waiting for the Titans.
