The Jump City Arcade was busy today. It must have been one of those holidays when school was out, but nobody had any special plans. As a result, Jemmy had to wait in line to play her games. But that was okay, it was fun to watch other kids play, too.
Shivering Jemmy stood 4 feet tall, had shoulder-length yellow hair, and wore an adorable pink shirt and robin's egg blue skirt. She looked like a normal 10 year old kid in the paradise that was the arcade. Even with her infamy, she could still go to places like this and avoid attention.
And she was okay with that.
Jemmy's jaw dropped. What was that...thing? There stood in front of an arcade console a humanoid covered in fur. Was it a dog? Jemmy had always wanted a dog. Sure, she had owned hundreds of dogs over the ages, but she didn't have one right now.
Jemmy couldn't help herself. She walked right up to Jaker and started petting him on the head. "Hey there, boy. How did you learn to stand up and play video games? Do you want to be my dog? I want you to be my dog."
She hugged him tightly. He was just so adorable.
