Finding a happy place

Aimlessly trying to forget his past, Alastors dreams constantly remind him of the monster he is. Taking the lives of so many people in just seconds. This had played a major toll on his mindset. He feels as if he cant trust anyone yet he wants to makes friends. His life is nothing but a contradicting cycle. she contemplates on whether to turn himself in or to just keep running.
"Im tired of running. I want to help people. But how can i help people when all i cause is destruction?" burying his face in his hands he sat on a park bench and observed everybody walking by. He tried his hardest to not look so miserable but the more he thought about the faces of Death that he had witnessed his emotions began to overwhelm his thoughts. Tears trickled down his face as he began to recite the spanish lullaby under his breath, trying to comfort himself and relax his mind.

"Hey." Suddenly a figure could be seen standing a couple feet in front of Alastor, glancing down at him with a hand on her hip and her head cocked to the side.
The park was one of Haruhi's favorite places here in Jump city to visit, and as she was strolling along with the rest of the crowd, she had noticed the boy sitting on the bench, alone, depressed and she could see his streaked face wet with tears.
"You okay?"

Alastor looked up startled as he fell back off the bench. He rubbed his head as he looked up at the girl, "Ow," he groaned getting up and dusting himself off. He let out a weak smile and said, "Everything is fine. I'm just not myself right now," he was very cautious with his words because he didn't know this person's intentions so he had to hold back on what he told her but he figured it would be best for him to be polite.

Wiping his face with a white and red decorated handkerchief he stuck out his hand to her and said, "My name is Alastor. nice to meet you," this time the smile on his face wasn't so weak and seemed to warmer than before. [i]maybe this is my time to make a friend.[i]

Haruhi then went a bit wide eyed as she saw him go over the bench and onto to the grass. "I'm sorry!" She quickly apologized as she went around the bench to help him up. "I didn't mean to startle you." She said as he stood and wiped his face with a hankerchief. "Nice to meet you too, my name'a Haruhi." She said, "why don't you feel like yourself? If you don't mind me asking. Is there anything I can help with?" She couldn't help but worry about others, it was a habit.

Alastor appreciated her kind gesture as he took a deep breath. he looked at her for a moment before speaking as he tried to form the words that he was about to say in his head. "did you hear about the explosion that happened in Barcelona a few years ago?" he said as he looked down. he clutched his fists together as he tried to hold in the anger that he had toward himself. "I am Not all the way in control of my powers and day by day I try my hardest to compress them so that I won't blow up all of jump city and it is definitely a struggle for me. I want to be a good, I want to do good, but how can somebody who causes so much bad do any type of good?" sighing he sat back and the bench on took another deep breath.

Haruhi listened to him, "Explosion in Barcelona? I can't say I have-" he continued to speak and Haruhi was surprised as he flat out confessed he had powers to her. She let out a deep sigh and rubbed the back of her head as she tried to think of what to do or say. All she could think of however was of herself, when she had trouble controlling her own powers, and about how her father had been the one to help her. "Hm, come on." She said grabbing a hold of his hand and leading him deeper into the park. "What exactly are your powers?" She asked, letting go of his hand but continued to walk at a chill pace.

As Alastor finished his ramble Haruhi took him by the hand and she had led him deeper into the park. He had no idea what her intentions were going to be until she had asked him what were his powers. at first he was shocked by the question but she had to trust somebody so he decided to trust her and with a deep breath he told her. "35 percent of the time when I am in control of my powers I am able to self detonate any part of my body but the other 65 percent when I'm not in control anything can happen but everytime I self detonate my whole entire body weather on purpose or on accident grow very exhausted and sometimes I pass out on the spot," he gave her a brief description of what he can do. He had hoped that telling her that would give her some idea on how he can control what he does.

"So...you can make yourself blow up?" She asked then shivered, Yeesh that sounded like a painful and harsh power to have, but again, how he detonated himself, she didn't know. Once they were quite a few ways in the open grass field, away from public ears, she sat down on the grass and motioned for him to join her. "Are these powers new to you? Or why do you have such a hard time controlling them? And I know it seems weird and suspicious that I brought you all the way out here. It's just not everyone is so accepting of us with powers." She then stuck out her hand to shake his in a greeting. "My name'a Haruhi by the way."

Alastor smiled and shook her hand back. He sat with her as he began to explain how his powers worked to her. "The detonation doesnt kill me obviously but i can feel every ounce of it. I havent really been able to train it and control it because Ivam always running but I have learned a lot about myself within the time I discovered my powers. For example my explosive ability isnt the only ability I have. I have one other." he beckoned her to touch his hand as he removed the glove he was wearing. He has diamond hard skin which helped well with his detonation.

Haruhi listened to the boy talk about his powers. She then touched his hand when he had held it towards her for her to feel. "Woah, huh, do you feel any pain? Like if someone punched you, would you feel it?" She asked, curiousity getting the best of her.

Alastor took another deep breath. He does this occasionally to make sure that he doesnt have another anxiety attack. "To a sense," he began to explain his passive ability to her, "A punch to you will feel like a poke to me. I can feel things but general in hand to hand combat the only thing in can really feel is my explosions happening all over ny body." he thrn smiled as he looked to her. He was trying go find a question to ask cuz he wanted to know about who she is, what she does, and what she can do. "Speaking of which what abilities do you have? Im curious. If you have any that is,"

Haruhi smiled a thumb at herself. "I'm a feline-human hybrid." She said sitting up a bit. "I have all the atrributes a cat has, except for, well, fur and the actual appearance of one. For example," she began to say as she morphed. Cat ears appeared on her head and a cat tail swayed side to side behind her. "I can see in complete darkness, have enhanced senses, and can land on my feet." She said with a grin. Of course she didn't reveal her full powers, maybe down the road she would, but right now she had just met this person. It was nice to keep it simple. "I think all you need is a little training." She crossed her arms in front of her, "Maybe it's because you fear what your powers can do that you find it hard to control it." She said tilting her head to the side. She then stood up, and pointed to the vast empty grass field in front of them. "Think you could give a little demonstration?"

Alastor watched as Haruhi began to change her appearance to resemble that of a cat person. He has never seen or met another person with powers so this was all to cool for him. "Amazing!" he exclaimed fascinated by her transformation. He indeed was in awe. After she had pointed to the field asking for him to demonstrate his powers thats when he had began to worry, "I-I..c-cant control the strength of my power. If I accidentally over exert myself the explosion will literally knock me cold. But I can give it a try," Taking a deep breath Alastor walked to the center of the vast field. Inhaling and exhaling heavily he stood still as his body began to spark white and red. As the sparking grew more vicious a sphere could be seen growing from his core and enveloping his entired body in it before the red and white sphere bursted creating a mini explosion. Screaming in pain Alastor fell to his knees exhausted.

Haruhi heard him out and then gave it a second thought. If his powers hurt him or could even knock him cold, then it probably wasn't a good idea to let him demonstrate....but again, if he didn't use his powers, how would he learn to control it? Lifting her arms up to shield herself from the light and debris from the small explosion, Haruhi saw him collapse onto his knees and ran to him, placing a hand on his shoulder. "You okay?" She asked, even though it was clear he wasn't. "Man, you really have it bad don'tcha, you really have to figure out how to control your powers. I mean, not only are they a danger to others but to yourself too." She then gave him a reassuring smile, and offered to help him up. "Don't worry, I'll help you. We can figure this out."

Alastor smiled at Haruhi as she came to his aid and notified him about control. He sure did need it. Staggering to his feet he took a deep breath and flashed another smile and started laughing. "You are definitely the friendliest person I've met so far. I like your encouraging words. I will try my hardest to overcome my weaknesses. Belief or not although my powers seem apocalyptic I do wanna be a hero, just like the Titans that ive heard so much about. I want to help people and be a big help," staring up at the sky his gaze looked like he was piercing through the heart of space. "No more pain, no more destruction," his knees gave way as he fell down again.
