Storm League (Completed)

Circuit bit his lip so hard that he started bleeding, whatever nonsense this guy was spouting he refused to believe it, he was so angry that the grenades being launched towards his current location were of no concern to him, he just wanted to shut that man up no matter what.
Circuit deployed his lights out field and used all of his strength to jump towards one of the soldiers and wrapped his legs around the soldier. The soldier started panicking and began flying around the room trying to shake off Circuit, however Circuit was in no mood for this.

"Go to hell!!!"

Circuit began to slam his bat into the head of the soldier over and over again with the added effect of lights out until he lost consciousness, once he noticed the soldier had finally passed out Circuit grabbed the gun that shot lightning at him not even a minute ago and kicked off the unconscious soldier while still in midair with afterimages deployed behind him and his field still deployed Circuit began firing at the other soldiers. Thanks to his lights out field Circuit didn't need to be a good shot like Bio to cause them damage and at the very least due to how lights out works he would be able to stun them for a bit. Circuit was able to land one solid hit on another soldier taking him out while the others were merely stunned. He hit the ground hard and dashed towards the remaining stunned opponents firing repeatedly and finally jumping in the air once again to deliver the finishing blow to the remaining soldiers with his trusty bat.

Once he had downed the rest Circuit turned to his remaining enemy and glared at him.

"Seems to me you're the type that won't stop mouthing off until his head is bashed into the ground, so I'm sorry about this but...you're next."

Circuit dashed towards his opponent with the intent of shutting him up for good. Circuit had never been this enraged in his life, and that was saying something.

Vincent raised his hand as his eyes glowed purple. He sent a fist into the ground sending an earthquake rumbling at Circuit.

"I'm mouthing off son, because I've waited for so long to use this."

His eyes then glowed red as he fired two lasers at Circuit aiming to burn and further agitate him.

Athena shook her head.

"Chuck! It's okay! It works like Chad's technique!"

Bio was exhausted having used his best ammo on the robot with little effect.

"Yeah! But how does that help me?"

"I dunno, does Chad have weaknesses?"

"I have no idea!"

The robot suddenly powered up and turned into a strange spectral image, as if it was partly phased out of reality. It went into the ground and then appeared behind Bio. A red drill then impaled him.

"Ggg-" Bio pushed himself away from the drill but no wound was found. The pain and disorientation of it was enough to distract him as the robot came in with a kick to the stomach. Bio knew that he wasn't going to win this battle with the way it was going. Skidding to a stop he held his damaged body together. Suddenly alarms blared and two scientists came rushing in, spraying it with a foam and then a freezing liquid.

"Phew! That was a close one! Are you okay kid? Sorry that robot got out of hand, it turned on unexpectedly. What's going on?"

The scientists looked at the newcomer curiously and wondered what the racket was about in the lobby.

Circuit was flung towards the ground the moment his opponent struck the ground.

"What the hell was tha-"
Before Circuit could even finish his sentence he felt an immense heat striking his chest area and begun screaming in pain.

"L-lasers? ...A-are you serious? DON'T SCREW WITH ME!!" Gathering his remaining strength Circuit grabbed the gun he had just taken from one of the soldiers and fired it at his opponent.

Vincent just stood there and took in the electricity.

"Ahhh, refreshing." He ran up to Circuit and threw an uppercut with enhanced strength at the metahumans chin. He was a bit dissapointed at how easy this was after waiting for so long to test out this new power.

"The dark energy in your body Circuit, you have no respect for it! You want to fight with honesty, when that's not what your power is about at all! Then again, if you had white energy which is all about using honest moves and real power, we would have just found you quicker. What a poor unfortunate boy."

Vincent was quite serious. He couldn't help but feel bad for taking down a kid with such luck, but it had to be done so they could get the remaining data on dark energy for the ultimate weapon.

Athena yelled at everyone.

"Look out!"

The robot suddenly disapeared from underneath the frozen foam. What they had foamed was actually a holographic projection with the real thing gone. A minigun opened up in one of its arms and sprayed red bullets down the hall at the scientists and Bio. Their minds were almost overloaded with the pain which felt very real. It then appeared in front of the scientists and smacked them to the ground, knocking them unconscious. Next, it was Bio's turn. He looked around and looked around in his stupor.

I've only got one shot at this...

 He saved up his strength and skates formed on his shoes. The robot just tried to analyze what the human could possibly thinking of.

"Human skates identified. Accessories for recreation and transportation."  

"Heh. you're right about that."

Bio jumped up and suddenly skated for the robot.

"melee attack?

The robot raised its gun, with which Bio raised his biogun.

"ranged." The robot analyzed again and then rushed at Bio to counter the momentum of his bullets. Bio then feinted at the last second and went into a knee slide and grabbed the hoses.

"Evasive maneuver..."

It phased out to go behind Bio but he stopped and used a skating move to turn around, switch his grip and aimed behind him. The robot was foamed into a stop, the real form caught in its tracks.

"Athena use the other hose now!"

Athena telekinetically picked up the hose and sprayed the coolant over the robot, sealing the deal.

With both of them taking a pause to catch their breath, they high fived.

"Those two will be fine. We've gotta go help Circuit."

"Okay, okay just give me a sec." Bio said wheezing.

Before Circuit could even process what had just happened he had been sent flying by this monster. Circuit had never taken on an opponent like this in all of his years of fighitng, but he refused to go down without a fight.

Circuit attempted to stand up once again to face his opponent. With all of the hits he had just taken in succession this would be no easy feat. But if he gave up here it would mean his death, and Circuit had no plans on dying anytime soon. Circuit was in a load of pain but if he was going to land any hits on this guy he had to ignore it for the time being

"Heh, fighting fair? What the hell? You really don't know anything about me do you?"

Circuit activated his lights out field once again throwing everything he had into this final attack. It would be all or nothing. He threw his bat at his opponent and then dashed at him after gaining some momentum. Once in front of his opponent put on his brass knuckles whilst activating all 3 after images, within the lights out field each after image that threw a punch would feel like an actual punch in addition to his real one, this was Circuit's last resort.

"GO DOWN ALREADY YOU ANNOYING PIECE OF CRAP!!"

Vincent grinned. Victory was within reach.

"Really? You'd make an excellent soldier then!"

He knocked away the bat, absorbing its energy.

"I'll blow you away!!!"

He aimed laser shots at Circuit, but then realized they were holographic projections. Still not sweating it, he readied to knock the kid's lights out ironically in a split second when he was suddenly knocked backwards by a powerful punch.

"Huh?" He wiped his mouth but then suddenly was slammed by the real one and thrown to the ground, not getting a chance to use his kinetic attack that he was so eager to try out. He rolled over, a bit stunned and getting a bit nervous when suddenly a pain raced through his leg.

"W-... AAAAAAAAH GET OFF ME!"

Athena had bitten down on his ankle. He instinctively kicked the mutt off his leg with the baseball bat power a bit sloppily due to being dizzy and a bit messed up in the head from the force of Circuit's knock out punch.

"I'll just absorb that then!" He then charged at Circuit with a jaw powered claw attack planning to rip out Circuit's jugular. Just when he was about to do so, a shot was heard from across the room. Bio with a shot hit him in the leg causing him to falter and miss yet again. The force of the jaw power sent spasms through his arm causing it to dislocate his shoulder.

"FUUUUUUUCK"

He yelled in pain and threw a crazed laser blast kick at Circuit, determined to go down swinging.

Circuit was relieved to see that Athena was okay considering the situation she had just gotten out of. Once again he and bio barely made it out with their lives. However before Circuit could relax he saw that the man's leg began to glow red. He knew what that meant but was in absolutely no condition to dodge, he was barely standing as is. He then took another blast to the chest completely knocking him out.

As Circuit would fade out, he would see Vincent repeatedly get knocked back by Bio's shots while yelling curses at them and then Athena jumping on him and bringing him to the ground with a large thud.

When he woke up, he would be healed and still at the labs and still in his transformed state.

"Hey Athena! He's coming to!"

"Oh yeah? That's great!"

Two scientists came up to shake the hands of Circuit. They did not recognize him because they had no idea of who Circuit was and his ability to completely transform like that.

"Name's Dr. Ross. This is my wife also known as Dr. Ross haha. We'd like to thank you kids for defending us and the lab. Didn't think superheroes would show up around here but luckily you did!"

Circuit couldn't believe it, if they were here then that meant for sure what Vincent had told Circuit earlier was the truth, he really wasn't their son. Hell he wasn't even related to his younger brother as far as he knew and to top things off it wasn't even his own parents that told him the truth but some random scumbag. Circuit had never felt this confused in his life. Gritting his teeth Circuit thought to himself it would be best for his mother and father to come clean rather than him exploding right here and now, that could possibly only make things worse, add this onto the fact that they could be put at risk if they knew the identity of Circuit in the future. Circuit wanted to pull his hair out and scream but this wasn't the time to do it. Swallowing all of his frustration and sadness Circuit responded to his father.

"Hey don't worry about it, it's what we do right Bio?" Circuit said looking back at his friend.

"Yeah man. Let's get out of here, I need to get some grub!"

He and Athena nonchalantly walked out for the pickup truck.

"You got the stuff?"

Athena nodded.

"Yep, got so much research on this little memory stick it's great. I can't believe we survived that!"

The two continued chatting with Circuit walking behind, they both couldn't find his parents on any of the projects or the roster because he was part of a project that the robot was a part of and they didn't suspect Circuit of being a machine. The secret remained only with Chad.
