Meteors over Midtown.(Titans, 1-2 heroes, skip after 3 days)

Ravian made it all the way there before the dust had settled. He was rather confident that Meryl hadn't seen him, he still had all of his limbs, no smart comments about how fruitless their plan would be, everything was going great!...That or she was just toying with them, which was also a distinct possibility. They hadn't even been so much as a threat to her so far, only almost managing to separate her from the cane, but she had quickly regained it. He hoped this worked.

He shot towards her as Hotwire began talking.

Meryl was enjoying herself! This fight was going well, though she thought she could hear sirens in the distance, she would have to quickly put a stop to that when they arrived. She was confident that she could scare them all off in one large attack easily enough, not to mention destroy any helicopter as a distraction.

She looked at Hotwire with a smirk. "No worries here gee-" it was that percise moment that Ravian rammed into her, grabbing her from the waist, putting his shoulder between hers as to not break her in two, though the sudden acceleration would still hurt. Good thing he wasn't at full speed, though he quickly went as high as he could go after hitting her. They were quickly over and above most of the residential area, dropping and hitting the ground before long.

Meryl acted quickly once on the ground.That had hurt, a lot, but this was still a fight. As Ravian got up, she tackled him back down, placing one hand over his eyes and using the other to try and reach her cane while using her legs to keep his arms trapped. "Hotwire, she's out of the residencies, get on your bike and get over here! Bring cardman too!"

(OOC: sorry, thought it was hotwire's turn)

Ace watched the two other heroes as they appeared to set a plan into motion. While the flying one took off, the orange-haired guy remained in place and taunted their opponent. Ace prepared his cards as Meteor Girl started her response, only to be grabbed and tossed into the air by the first hero. Wow, that actually worked. Not bad. he thought, doing his best to see where the two would land before flying over on his platform of cards.

Upon reaching the small struggle going on, Ace would jump off of his platform and address the villain. "Hey, psycho. I'll give you two options. One, you can let go of Mr. Laser Face there and surrender, or two, learn what it feels like to be the world's first playing card pin cushion. Your choice." he said, readying the platform of cards behind him. Should Meryl make any movement other than one that appeared to indicate surrender, Ace would take a moment to aim and ensure that he didn't hit the other hero before launching the 52 cards at her one by one.

"I agree with the card dealer." Hotwire said arriving at the scene on his cycle. He stepped towards her, taking a small device from his pocket.

"We have you surrounded. Police are en-route." He continued, pointing out fault after fault in her battle plan. "And we have your staff." He said as the device shot a small hook forward, wrapping itself around her cane. It would then attempt to pull it back to hotwire. A miniature grapple. Experimental, and thus far not very efficient. But hotwire had been tinkering with the thing, and now seemed like a good time to use it. After all, he wasn't in danger of falling off a roof if it failed.

((sorry for the wait, should be getting my computer soonish, so then I'll be able to actually know when people post and write better posts, but for now.))

Meryl looked at the two boys, frowning. They had her cane now. Her aim would be off, and less angled. "Hmmm....we dunno. Meryl could still get Ravi here, quite easily." she said, smiling. "She's not as accurate without her staff but she can still drop meteors...and she hasn't even brought out the big guns yet!" she said. She still had both of her most powerful meteors, ones they didn't know about too!

She eeped as Ace threw out his cards, letting go of Ravi and backflipping back, several cards hit her, but no where near the full 52. "Ow ow ow!" she said, carefully picking them out of her arms. "That fricken hurt!" she yelled before looking at the three. Hotwire holding her cane, the card man doubtlessly ready to try and skewer her again, Ravian's eyes glowing menacingly(he had rolled onto his knees by then) "Hmmm....don't suppose you all wanna talk about what we can learn from this?" she said, actually reading herself for a get away meteor, dropping a block of dilustel in the middle of the group soon.

Ace listened to the girl as she began to describe both her weakness and the fact that she still had some stronger meteors in reserve. "...Yeah, that doesn't sound like surrender to me. Pin cushion it is!" he replied, launching the cards at her. Unsurprisingly, a majority of the cards missed their target, however Ace was satisfied with the damage inflicted for the moment. As Meryl worked on puling the cards out, Ace pulled out his blue deck of cards and ripped open the top of the box, pointing it towards her.

The teen frowned as his opponent surveyed the scene and then attempted to convince them into talking. "Sure" he replied. "You can learn what happens when you threaten civilians in Jump City." he finished as cards started flying from the deck in his hand like a machine gun, albeit with much slower projectiles than bullets and with only half of the cards in the deck being launched towards Meryl.

Hotwire crossed his arms. This girl didn’t seem to want to give up. And as long as she was still moving, it didn’t look like she’d be running out any time soon. He turned over the cane a little in his hand and looked at Ravian. “Hey, you know her. Any way we can use this cane to our advantage?” He asked. “Or do we need something else?” He said.

He looked over to the guy with the cards. He whispered to him. “Just keep her on the ropes. It looks like without her can, you’re a good match for keeping her moving and not fighting.” He said. “We’ll work out how to finish it.”

((Sorry this is taking so long, I'll try and get something up today, the 12th.))

Ravian shook his head. "Her powers are completely different now, she's different now. It's weird." he replied to Hotwire. "I can tell her powers a bit but...honestly, they're really complicated...the cane can't be used by us, but it makes her a bit more predicable....I think." he added before righting himself. He was still dizzy from the impacts of hitting her, and hitting the ground a while afterwards. They had been hard hits, he couldn't aim for her right now, not without missing anyways. He didn't like taking potshots, just made enemies more cautious.

"Hey!" Mery said, somersaulting to the side, "It was sort of close to a surrend-ow!" she said as another few cards gave her one heck of a paper cut collage. "Okie dokie then, guess we're through here!" she said as the sky, oddly enough, became a good deal brighter, almost like dawn was approaching, but as she ran it was made clear the light was coming from over head, not the horizon. A large block of dilustel hurtled from the sky, whether stopped before or after hitting the ground, there would be one heck of an explosion, one heck of a dust cloud, and one heck of a 'Boom' Meryl herself ran quickly, only faltering as cards hit or grazed her, but there was a bigger problem than her now.

"Hotwire, big one. Incoming." he said "Just...throwing a tactical retreat option out there...as an option."

Ace nodded in response to Hotwire's strategy. "Sounds good. Try to figure something out quick though, or I'm going to have to slow down on the cards. I only have so many after all." Ace held back once half of the deck had been emptied, listening to Meryl's declaration. "What do you think you're talking about? We aren't through until...oh." The teen trailed off as the massive meteor came into view.

For once, Ace was at a loss for words. Something about staring at what could possibly be his imminent death caused part of him to want to flee in terror. He did his best to hold his ground, however, and listened to what the more experienced heroes had to say. "Uh...a retreat does sound like a very nice idea...unless there are any other options?" If Hotwire didn't have any other plans, Ace would follow the first proposed idea and book it away from the meteor.

Without any other plans or miracles the three heroes were left with no other option than to flee from the scene, leaving the Meteor launching girl to escape off into the night. it didn't really look like night at the moment though. The bright meteor lit up the sky like it was a miniature sun, casting long, harsh shadows behind everything as its jarring and direct light slammed into the nearby surface. The heat also went up, a lot, the meteor was big enough that the heat transfer, even before impact was noticeable, but only for a few moment. A second later the ground shook and the rush of air would probably blow them all down, flattening them against the ground as heat raked their backs and made their clothes uncomfortably dry, burnt.

"....looks like everyone made it." he said, rolling onto his back, off of the ground. "She's long gone though...and I don't think going after her is a good idea, a surprise meteor through the arm sounds like it would hurt." Ravian said as he dusted himself off. "I'm going back to the tower," he looked at Ace "Feel free to come visit sometime, you did pretty well out here tonight." He then flew off, leaving Ace and Hotwire to themselves.
