Jemmy's Game Show (Open to 1)

Malan'tai was watching the golem it had fallen everything had gone to plan so far. It couldn't last, he knew something would go wrong. He stood there a moment a brick falling on his shield and it bounced off his shield.

He stared out the opening for a moment and then looked at the golem firing at the center of it's chest to keep it down. "I don't need to escape." He hovered in the air staring down at the golem.

He was ready to dodge a strike what Jemmy did next would decide his next move would be.

The blast was enough to knock the golem onto its back again. However, it appeared that the golem wasn't completely mindless, as it rolled over to it's front. The golem was then able to put its knees and hands beneath it, allowing it enough stability to stand up with confidence, despite any further blasts from Mal.

Jemmy was impressed that Mal wasn't retreating. Either he really wanted that prize, or he thought he could win this fight. Either way, Jemmy was starting to gain some respect for him. She decided to start applauding his efforts. "You can do it, Mal! Fight. Fight!"

Of course, the golem also wanted to fight. It swung its axe, horizontally this time, trying to catch Mal with its wide blade. The golem had a far reach, and it would be quite difficult to move back far enough to escape it.

Malan'tai saw the blade coming for him and flew backward but only to strengthen the shield. However being that he was in the air it only served to send him flying. He hit the wall and his shields were broken for the first time. He laid there for a moment and coughed up blood forcing himself to his feet he shut his eyes focusing and his shield popped up again he streaked backward as soon as it did to narrowly dodge a finishing strike.

Mal spun in the air looking at the golem and flew at it intending to flip around behind it and grab hold to it's back, he'd be mostly exposed during that time but his shield should help. If he managed to get a hold he'd attempt to fire a blast into a seam on it's neck.

Jemmy jumped out of her seat as the golem hit Mal into the wall. Judging by the pained look and coughed up blood, Mal's shield had gone down, at least for a moment. The golem stepped closer and raised its axe for the final finishing blow.

Jemmy shrugged. "Oh well. I guess you tried."

But Mal wasn't out of the fight yet. He jumped up and managed to dodge the golem's grand attack. The axe was buried deep in the floor, and the golem pulled hard, trying to get it out. Mal was flying for the back of the golem's neck, but the construct had no intentions of letting him to that. With a final pull, the golem ripped the axe out of the floor and swung the back side of it at Mal.

The axe missed Mal entirely.

Mal was able to reach the back of the golem's neck. When he shot the seam on the neck, the golem's head flew off. A moment later, the golem collapsed into rubble.

Jemmy clapped. "Well done, contestant number one. You've certainly proven yourself here today." She let him catch his breath. "Now then, it is time for your fabulous prize."

A small box floated down from the ceiling, suspended by a mini-parachute. Inside it, Mal would find a simple, pink ring.

Jemmy grinned. "That's a very special piece of jewelry, Mister Mal. You can use that ring so summon me, Shivering Jemmy, to your side. Once there, I will do one favor for you, assuming it's something I can actually do. Use it well, because after you use it once, the ring breaks."

Malan'tai settled on the ground beside her and looked at the ring he closed the box and slid it into his inner pocket on his suit jacket. He then fixed it and nodded breathing hard.

He looked up at her when she said it summoned her and granted him a favor. He looked at the camera and said. "One thing before you go Jemmy, where is that camera showing this?" he took out his phone to send the information out when he got it, he couldn't let this information about him get out.

If/when she told him he'd send a text out and thank her sincerely, less than a minute later the doors of the theatre would be kicked in and everyone inside would be systematically killed by the guild agents who were taking care of things. Jemmy would be the only one who could link the two now that the camera rooms were on fire in the theatre.

Malan'tai smiled at Jemmy and said. "It's been fun, I'm sure we'll meet again Shivering Jemmy." he walked away toward the opening in the wall holding his broken ribs.

"Jump City Cineplex, screen 4."

Jemmy raised her eyebrows when she realized what Mal was about to do. "That's not very nice. What's the point of doing this game show if the audience doesn't get to spread the word. I can't get ratings this way."

Still, she had no real reason to stop him. She watched as he walked away. He had won the game show, taking both his life and a very special prize in tow. He had even managed to protect his secret identity due to his connections. He smelled a bit too heavily of order, but Jemmy decided she respected Mal.

As Mal got far enough away from the building, an old warehouse, Jemmy pulled out a controller with a big red button on it. She pushed the button and teleported back to the realm of chaos with her familiar balloon at her side.

Three seconds later, the building exploded.
