Fairy Blue Empty
PostSubject: Fairy Blue   Fairy Blue Icon_minitimeSun Sep 22, 2013 9:57 am

Ever wondered what sound a banana would make if it could talk? Cause I did, and now I have a whole choir of them constantly singing away up here. It wouldn’t be so bad if they were, you know… good.

Fairy Blue Staceyplottop

===IDENTITY===
Full Name: Stacey Rogers
Nickname(s): Stace
Codename: Fairy Blue
Alias(es): Blue
Age: 16
Classification: Super Human
Affiliation: Good - Titan hopeful

===PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION===

Hair Color: Blue/purple depending on the light
Eye Color: Blue
Height: 165cm
Weight: 68kg
Other Traits:

    Stacey has a fairly average body for some one her age. She’s in shape, but that’s mainly due to her diet. She’s not physically fit to the extreme most heroes are, sure she can play basketball, but back flipping over a speeding car is a bit beyond her. Her skin is creamy white and has a habit of bruising like bumping her thigh into the table was the end of the world and her leg must now be amputated. Her hair was originally honey brown, but for years Stacey has been dying it every color under the sun. Currently she’s in a purple phase, so her overly layered bangs are a dark purple, which turns somewhat blue under the right light. Her eyes compliment her hair nicely, being a glacial lake blue themselves.

    Stacey doesn’t have a uniform. Having a secret identity didn’t seem necessary as everyone she knew were already aware of her powers before she left to join the Titans. Plus spandex was just too much work for her. Instead Stacey just wears her everyday outfit to work. An off the shoulders long sleeved white jumper with dark purple/blue sleeves, a black singlet underneath, a short plaid skirt, light and dark purple striped stockings, and white converse shoes.

===POWERS===

Powers:

    Stacey’s power is, in a word, complicated. You know how when you day dream your mind can get lost in an imaginary world filled with crazy physics, munchkins, and rioting potatoes? For you and I, that world is just a figment of our imagination, a special little sugar fueled corner of our minds. But not for Stacey. Her imagination is so big, so powerful, it is actually an alternate universe. There, anything she imagines comes into existence. If she day dreams about a waterfall flowing vertically up into the sky to give the moon the finger, it will happen. If she thinks about what a cross between a monkey, spider, and octopus would look like, that species-confused creature will pop into existence. You get the idea.

    So, having a little universe to yourself is all well and good, but at the end of the day, it’s just an oversized and overactive imagination if Stacey can’t do anything with it. Thankfully, she can. Stacey is able to open portals between reality and imagination land. Objects and substances are able to pass from Stacey’s imagination into the real world, likewise real things and people can enter her imagination. The portals are oval in shape, colored a shiny opaque black with purple flames licking at the edges. Ie, it is not possible to see into imagination land, unless you step through the portal.

    However, her power does have some limitations. She is only able to create portals within 100m of herself. The further away the portal is, the harder it is to open, and keep open. The size of her portals can vary from golf ball sized, to large enough to span the horizon. But, the larger the portal is, the harder it is to keep open. This means a large portal will collapse within minutes, whereas a small portal might remain open for days. The size of the portal is important in another (somewhat obvious) way. If the portal is too small, larger objects cannot pass through. Eg an imaginary Godzilla. The more portals Stacey creates, the harder it becomes to open new ones. She can open dozens of small portals in a row, but only about 5 large portals before she has to take a break.

    So far as she knows, nothing Stacey creates in imagination land is ever un-created. As she has complete control over physics, time and age are optional if she wills it. Meaning an animal or person she imagines into being has the potential to be immortal if she so wishes. However, once the imagined object crosses into reality, she loses all control over them. Ie, she cannot decide the immortal goldfish should suddenly start aging, nor can she decide the aging goldfish should become immortal. But if the object were to re-enter imagination land, her control over it is reasserted.

    When something from reality enters imagination land, Stacey does not gain control over it like she does her own creations. But this isn’t to say she can’t affect the world around them eg drop them into a bottomless pit, shoot knives at them, or surround them with those singing slugs from flushed away.

    It is also worth noting that imagination land is subconsciously modeled after Earth. Even though she understands she has complete control over physics and reality, Stacey’s brain makes imagination land operate like Earth by default, as this is the simplest concept for her to understand and control on a background, subconscious level. This means wood floats in water, the air is breathable, heat makes fire, etc. Basically, if a human entered imagination land, they’d be able to survive… so long as they stay away from everything that looks weird.

    Should Stacey ever try and enter imagination land via a portal, things get complicated. It’s unclear to the girl whether imagination land exists within her mind, or if it is just linked to it. Either way, her physical body cannot enter imagination land. So, upon entry an imaginary copy of herself is manifested, so she can interact with imagination land like a normal human, instead of it’s omnipotent God that exists as a mere presence in the imaginary sky watching over everything. In reality the portal she entered collapses, and she falls unconscious until her manifestation within imagination land opens a portal and returns to reality. Naturally this leaves her quite vulnerable, as Stacey is for all intents and purposes in a coma whilst she’s in imagination land. It is practically impossible to rouse her, so if someone were to stab her whilst she slept, she wouldn’t know about it until she returned to reality.

Skills:
Being awesome.

Weaknesses:
Socially odd
Invasive
Too relaxed
Rather blunt
Too many quirky habits
Drawing a mental blank
Powers don’t work if unconscious
Illness/distractions/lack of mental focus makes it hard to open portals

Equipment:
Nothing except for her everlasting lollipop, courtesy of imagination land. There’s also Gray, her first creation and beloved pet, but he spends most of his time in imagination land unless she wants/needs him.

===PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE===

Personality:

    Stacey takes after her mother. She’s very relaxed in nature, letting the flow of life take her where she has to go. She avoids conflict whenever she can, often seeming rather apathetic, brushing off confronting issues like they were a telemarketer house call. Some people mistake her flexible nature as laziness. However this is not the case, a lot of effort goes into making sure she keeps everyone happy. Stacey loathes to fight, indeed, the moment someone raises their voice Stacey will step in, offering to take everyone out for waffles or something. This is probably due to a lifetime of fending for herself in a dorm house filled with a dozen other needy little girls.

    Contrary to her outward appearance, Stacey is actually highly intelligent. Her nonchalance towards rules and social customs, as well as her quirky views and love of vegan diets, not to mention her tendency to get into deep philosophical conversations about the paradoxes of life with strangers at bus stops, generally make her come across as a girl who’s parents did far too much drugs whilst they were pregnant.

    Stacey is a true humanitarian at heart, doing her bit to minimize her impact on the natural world, and help protect it’s fragile ecosystems for the betterment of all life. You’ll often find her roaming the streets with no shoes, probably because she just forgot to put them on, she’s so used to the feeling of concrete under her toes. She’s a kind soul, always giving whatever change she has to any homeless person she passes, taking in strays that cross her path, be they human, animal, or thirsty plant. The notion of hurting others is completely against her nature.

    Stacey does have her flaws though, aside from coming off as callous and bored. With her mother, no topic is too controversial, and so Stacey has a habit of bringing up topics others might not be comfortable talking about. Eg graphic details about hysterectomies whilst everyone is eating dinner. Personal space is also a concept she tends to forget about. Growing up in communal living, Stacey operates on a ‘what’s mine is yours’ philosophy. Food, clothes, gadgets, makeup, beds, laps, etc. Everything is free game when she’s around, even if you have clearly written your name on your spot on the couch.

===PERSONAL BACKGROUND===

Family Members: Harriet Rogers - Mother.
Place of Origin: Technically born in France, but calls Jump City home.
History:

    Stacey never knew her father. Her mother was going through a power for women, sexual freedom, phase. In the months leading up to Stacey’s conception, Harriet had slept with practically half of France (she was doing an art show over there). But Stacey never really minded not knowing her dad. Harriet had enough personality for two people, so Stacey never really felt his absence.

    Harriet, unlike most artists, was actually quite successful. So successful that Stacey spent her childhood roaming the world, going from country to country, art show, to art show. Her mother was rather eccentric, your typical hippy, dancing around the house, extremely creative, and completely alternative. Stacey was raised with every freedom a child could hope for. No bed time, wears whatever she wants, talks however she wants, etc. Harriet did make sure Stacey kept her body “pure” though, eating only fresh and organic foods.

    But eventually her utopic childhood came to an end. Harriet, whilst she loved her daughter with all her heart, was definitely not teacher material. With her hectic schedule putting her constantly on the move Stacey would have to be home schooled. Harriet wanted Stacey to have everything she ever wanted, and so made the difficult decision to send her little girl to boarding school.

    So, at the tender age of 6, Stacey was dropped off at Jump City’s local boarding school. Harriet made an effort to arrange her schedule so she could visit Stacey every 3 months, and Stacey rejoined her mother (wherever she was in the world) every holidays.

    The years passed in a happy blur of traveling, learning, and a growing collection of souvenirs threatening to fall over and bury her in her sleep. Throughout it all Stacey always knew she had an overactive imagination. But it wasn’t until she turned 15 that Stacey learned she was something more than a normal imaginative teen.

    Having spent most of her life at the boarding school, Stacey had never had a pet. She and several school friends had been down to the Mall and played with the puppies in the pet store that day. That night Stacey was lying in bed, vividly remembering one puppy that she had been particularly fond of. Naturally she started imagining what having that puppy as a pet would be like. One thing led to another, and soon she was picturing the baby dog with more than a little wild wolf thrown in. It would grow up to be almost as tall as Stacey was, but for now it was just a blue-gray fuzz ball, it’s oversized paws the only hint of how big it would eventually grow.

    Stacey wanted that puppy so much, she could see it so clearly in her mind, surely if she wished hard enough it had to become real? So, too absorbed in her thoughts to try and sleep, Stacey had scowled at the ceiling, putting all her focus into wishing she had that puppy. And hey presto, a portal opened in the roof, and the little fluffy puppy fell through to land on Stacey’s nose.

    Needless to say, Stacey was more than a little surprised. Over the following months she experimented with her new found ability to imagine things into being. It took her close to 8 months to figure out that her ability wasn’t to create things in this world, but to create a link between reality and her imagination so her thoughts could manifest in reality. The biggest clue to this being when her bunkmate tried going through a portal, only to disappear and end up partying in Stacey’s imagination. That was the same day Stacey found out what happens if she goes into a portal herself, one of her other friends walking into the room to find one girl missing and Stacey unconscious on the floor.

    A year after her powers manifested, Stacey believes she has a fairly good grasp on how they work. After having many fangirling serious conversations with her friends and mother, Stacey’s convinced herself that she should put her powers to use by joining up with the Teen Titans. So the next time she sees one of them around, she’ll volunteer.

Sample rp:

    Stacey tilted her head, purple locks falling away to reveal her glassy blues. Swinging her feet to a merry tune no doubt currently being performed in front of a crowd of thousands in Imagination Land, the young hero looked up at the night sky. Her trademark lollipop bobbed up and down as she tried to distinguish stars from planes.

    With no warning a huge black oval appeared in front of Stacey, purple flames licking hungrily along it’s edge. But the girl didn’t even bat an eyelid… not even when a massive dragon let out an ear splitting bugle as it soared out of the shiny opaque portal.

    “Behold! The ferocious Clive! Your name strikes fear into the heart of mortals everywhere.” Stacey grinned, letting her head roll back to follow the terrifying Clive across the night sky.

    Clive gave the dragon equivalent of a hrmph, flaring his basketball sized nostrils to send twin jets of flame shooting dangerously close to Stacey’s perched form. Naturally, Stacey responded like all humans would… She started laughing so hard she fell off the ledge of the building and started plummeting 30 stories down towards the hard pavement.

    The bloodthirsty Clive gave a high pitched squeak of alarm (probably the dragon equivalent of a girly shriek), and threw himself into a headlong dive. A flap of his football field sized wings sent him rocketing below Stacey. Quick as a snake he snapped them out and up, halting his decent, catching the falling Stacey on the nape of his neck, then shooting up above the line of skyscrapers of downtown Jump City.

    Tears streaming down her face as she struggled to recover from her fit of hysterics, Stacey patted Clive lovingly for coming to her rescue. The dragon merely rolled his eyes and flew in the direction of Stacey’s boarding school home. This was a stunt she pulled often, probably out of a morbid curiosity to see if dragons could have heart attacks.

Notes: Just letting you know that the app template seems to be a bit hinky. The code i copied works fine, but the preview version you guys have above it (the bit with the instructions and stuffs) is all messed up. So, yeah, apologies if i've missed something/done something wrong ^.^

Alright so I only have problems with the powers and weaknesses.

To start off your power is literally omnipotence, wether this world or an alternate, they can be bridged. You are going to have to severly cut this back to get this power approved, I'll need limits on what she can create: Size, abilities, powers. These all need to be stated. The size of the portals will also need limits. The times are also far too long, a portal to a world she can make anything in cannot remain open for hours let alone days. Immortality is a power and as above would need remain stated to keep.

Now on to weaknesses, these are not really weaknesses, they are flaws besides her powers not working while unconsious which is a basic concept. If you can't focus you can't use a power simple as that. [excluding things like hard skin or super toughness] I need clearly defined examples of what can take her down, or stop her powers completely.

Based on her personality, eg the refusal to fight ref. "The notion of hurting others is completely against her nature." Will prevent her becoming a titan as they have to stop a villain and will pretty much never be able to talk one down.

Please consider the above and make appropriate changes.
