TIBERIUS listened to the responses he'd expected, took our powers how do we know you'll pay. He'd expected all this and as planned Fade pointed out the buyer. TIBERIUS walked around the room and said. "I have drained your powers because I'm not sure I can trust you. I don't expect you to trust me but yes I do have a buyer already. In fact the buyer contacted me. I won't pay anything up front because I have no guarantee that you will stick to the plan." He walked over to a computer panel and began typing in information. "How many of you have an off shore bank account. I assume maybe two of you. Excluding myself and Fade. We'll need to get you set up with untraceable accounts first off then I'll set up a forward to automatically split up the funds between us. As soon as the pay goes through then you'll get your cut. If you don't stick with us, I remove you from the system."

TIBERIUS walked around the room slowly looking up at the ceiling, he finally stopped by a chair and sat causing the metal to groan under his weight. "I applaud you all on your suspicions but they are misplaced. You have been shown our target, you know your cut, you've seen the pay. Who's wants to make a lot of money together?"

OOC: So, this thread is coming up to 2 months old and has had a lot of stopping/starting. With the Titans set up, I reckon we should be looking to get the HIVE settled shortly. So I propose, as an idea (Shoot it down if ya want) that from here on out, if someone hasn't posted for X amount of days (3?), that we skip to the next person. Just an idea to get this done.

Nina barked happily in agreement, she didn't really have anything to say anyway, the questions had been asked, answers had been given, she was happy to go ahead with the plan, and either way, she hated the fact being stuck as a fox and being unable to talk, she felt so...helpless almost, she was ready to go get the job done and get her pay.

It was an outrageous arrangement. A joint account wasn't a bad idea, assuring equal shares. That was until you heard that TIBERIUS could revoke one (or all) of their names. Only a conscience could effectively prevent that. It still put the issue down to trust. And how was trust formed? With a leap of faith.
 
How did you wind up dead? With a leap of arrogance.
 
The pixel master did not consider this offer fortuitous. Too many variables were in the air. He'd walk away, if such a decision wasn't tantamount to suicide. TIBERIUS wasn't likely to let an unaffiliated wildcard roam free with knowledge of this gathering. Which left him the option of continued negotiation. Again a daunting prospect - considering his current powerlessness.
 
Hugh would just have to pitch in and pray that things turned out for the best. If they made money - bully for them. If they were cheated but escaped with their lives - easy come, easy go. A lesson for next time. Pix had reached his well evaluated conclusion, "I don't have a problem. If she doesn't have a problem." He thumbed at Gilda. The only player present with any bargaining weight to bring to the table.
 
"And introductions wouldn't hurt." He picked an orange hair from the head of Nina.

"Let's go. This should be easy, just don't get in my way." she said. It was a warning to everyone there. She had a hard time pulling her swings once she started them and she hit hard. There was no use trying, so she didn't anymore. If they got in her way, they would find themselves hit by her mace unforgivingly.

"My name is Gilda. I'm a thanagarian warrior." she said with a proud sort of smile. She then quickly spread her wings wide, just for the purpose of showing off. "With me in the lead, our mission will be easy and quick. Just don't fall behind." even if they didn't accept her as leader, she doubted they'd be able to stop her if she didn't feel like listening. There was no downside for her and always the option of a hasty retreat thanks to her wings. Perfect.

Given the sparsity of metahumans and assassins, it could be well assumed that there were no other gatherings of super-powered activists in play at current. Together they were a force to be reckoned with. An intoxifying thought. Pix loved keeping company. His last group had dissolved through police action. He had soon become disillusioned with their dedication towards one another. Maybe this time could be different? Maybe they could really bond? Hugh took a look at Quinn and suddenly began to doubt his comforting thoughts. These were not trustworthy people. Wherever acceptance resided, it was unlikely to be found here.
 
Regardless, Hugh softened upon hearing his introduction request granted. It was a start. The others were playing ball. He noted their names, assured that he would confuse the twins at some point. But rocky beginnings, "Call me Pix." Hugh might have used his real name but he was still uncertain as to whether these strangers could exercise discretion.
 
He was also immediately rejective of Gilda's claim to leadership. The Thanagarian's last sentence was indicator of her unsuitability for the role. 'Don't fall behind'. A capable leader held back and observed happenings instead of blundering into certain disaster. Yet without his powers on hand he was unable to challenge Gilda. So for now he held his tongue. There would be time to discuss the intricacies of this issue later.
 
"I excel at planning, mediation, law, political intrigue, and escapes. When allowed, my metahuman body can also withstand a substantial amount of punishment, but trust me when I say there are better uses for me than a punching bag."

Nina looked around at all the computers and scurried to one of them, jumping into the chair and using both her paws to move the mouse and open a writing programme, typing on the keys a message to everyone to introduce herself.

"Hi, you can call me Kitsune, as you can see I'm currently a fox but as you all know I'm capable of being human, in a nutshell I'm basically a fox with supernatural powers, with the power zapper thingy on I can't keep my human form because it sucks out all my magicalness stuff that makes me human-like, to be honest I'm not interested in being leader but I won't take kindly to bossy boots or those who think they're anyway above me, so yeah, that's me." she typed before spinning in the chair to stare at everyone else.

TIBERIUS watched them all his face hard to read as it was a carapace. He listened to each in turn frowning as Gilda tried to declare herself boss. He held up a finger after she'd spoken and said. "First off Gilda, you work for me. Until you bring me a contract with a job offering a decent check don't try to usurp me."

His head then turned slightly to listen to Hugh as he spoke. When he'd finished his part TIB held up his hands to do air quotes. "'Pix' you and i will probably work together quite a bit if planning and intrigue are your game. I find myself to enjoy them quite a bit as well. Make no mistake that I can hold my own of course."

TIB looked at Nina then as she tapped away her introduction and said. "I'll take that into account and build a device to allow you to maintain your human form for future visits, this won't allow everything but you should be able to maintain your form."

He laughed as Quinn seemed surprised and introduced herself and then walked over to a cabinet. He pulled out what looked like blue tooth head sets and said seriously. "Long range communicators that link only with each other, I've used a rather nasty and special encryption tool with a virus for anyone who does manage to hack it. Lets just say whatever they use won't work so well when it's forcibly shut down." He gestrued for them to take one and said. "Each of you take one, I will be handling this mission. Now what I have planned is for Gilda to create a diversion by attacking the escort. Quinn you will then get the armored car open and deal with the guard inside. After this Nina will grab the gem, while Pix uses a storm of pixels to cover the escape of her clones, this will take place in a crowded street. Nina two go in either direction, one up to the roof tops, one down an alley and you yourself will come to the sewers where I will cover you and take you to safety." He smiled and sat on a super reinforced chair that still groaned. "Now then, lets stop talking and start doing."
