Gang Wars.(Acid Rain. And anyone who wants to join the team)

Every city has its problems. Every city has its issues. Considering Jump city seemed to be a gathering place for people with powers and abilities both unique and abnormal, it wasn't a far stretch to say that Jump city had some worse problems than most average cities. In the city's lower workings, just like anywhere else, there were gangs. Unlike most other places, these gangs were led by people with abilities. Not strong enough on their own to be considered a threat, they were powerful enough to hold significant sway amongst their gangs, and the skirmishes between bitter rival gangs had escalated into full out warfare in some areas, and this was not something to escape Zack's notice. Zack was no hero, he had no intention of saving any of the innocent people that lived in the slums amongst the fighting. He was there to fight. He stood alone in the middle of the street between the rivals who had taken cover behind the rubble on opposite sidewalks. He was slim, wearing ragged jeans, combat boots, and an open leather jacket over a plain white tee shirt. His hawklike face was dominated by a pair of glittering hazel eyes and a manic grin. Zack laughed wildly, the barrel of his Famas glowing as he blazed away at both parties. The return fire from both sides whizzed past him, miraculously missing the crazed gunman. His clip ran dry, and he tore it out of his smoking weapon, throwing it at a random ganger and replacing it with a fresh one. Lightning flashed past his head, and Zack's grin grew as he opened fire at the villain responsible. Some disagreed with his methods, saying he shouldn't kill. He laughed at the thought. In his twisted mind, if someone had a reason to fight, they should be ready to die for that same reason. Some people said he should try to arrest wrongdoers. He laughed harder at that. The way he saw it, if he locked up a super villain, they would use their powers to escape, and come screaming for his head. It made things so much less complicated when he killed them. Besides, he loved killing. It was what he had been built to do, and while he had rejected his creators, he had lost the one thing that had kept him in line before he had become what he was today. His creators had taken it from him, and he very much doubted he would ever become normal again, for when someone loses their mind, they seldom get it back.

Jay was flying through the night air, drinking in the cool relaxing feel of the wind against her feathers. Well, at least it had been relaxing until she heard, that...

She knew that sound, she just couldn't place her feathers on it... she opened her eyes and scanned the area below her with her sharp vision. In an alley, it looked like a gang was having it out again.
Jay sighed, why did it seem cities and gangs went right in hand? she shook her head and turned on an updraft and gently soared down to she what was going on.
Landing on a building roof top she looked down at the scene, taking in what was happening.
"Oh, brother... " Jay sighed, an idiot with a heavy duty gun... great.
Jay watched as he turned to the people behind him and took this as her chance to fly down and try to tackle him.
She flew up into the air and then turned her body towards the gunner and tucked her wings tight to her body and dove down. Usually this would take any one down, so Jay smirked as she thought of this guys face when he would suddenly be taken down by a large what would feel like a missile. Ok, a small, feathery missile, but still.

(Nah, he's only just met her in the other one, maybe he'll recognize her but not know why.)

ic: Zack didn't notice her, he was too busy trying to deal with another who had just popped up. This one had some sort of shield, and was using it to protect several of his fellow gangers. "How irritating..." Zack's grin had faded to an annoyed smirk as he took aim. Then Jay slammed into him. Instead of knocking him off his feet, she rebounded off as she hit something far harder than muscle or bone. It felt like dive bombing a train. Zack staggered a step back, looking at her with an eyebrow raised in amusement. "Not your brightest moment, love." He laughed as a bullet flew dangerously close to his head, and resumed his attack on the gangs. As close as she was, Jay could see why the bullets were missing. Several shots were dead on, and should have hit him, but as the bullets came close, they seemed to curve away, just missing Zack.

Rain watched as Jay was bounced away from the maniac. "Really?" she asked. She jumped down from the building, all the impact bouncing through her body. Rain flicked her wrist, and the faithful shield covered her. Once close enough, she felt herself turn into barely anything. Then stepped into Zack. "You want to stop," she said in a soothing but commanding tone.

(oi, you're inside him? That'll freak him out.)

Zack squinted, his grin fading to a smirk as he took careful aim, seemingly oblivious to the shots flying past. His concentration was on taking down the ganger shielding his fellows, which led to his focus on his ability lessening, allowing the bullets to get closer and closer. As Rain phased into him, she passed clothing and flesh one would expect to find, though his jacket was definitely more than just leather, but between flesh and muscle, there lay thick horizontal plates of an unidentified metal alloy, interlocked together and wired into his nervous system. They moved over his muscles like a second skin, though no motor moved them. The alloy covered his entire body, even his eyelids, and it wasn't the only thing that was out of place. Something was lodged in his brain and wired into his mind, something that clearly wasn't supposed to be there. Zack lined up his sights, and squeezed the trigger, rewarded by a puff of red and disappearing shields. Then the newcomer spoke up. He looked around, not having noticed that she had phased into him. Confused, he noticed something different about his body, something wasn't right. In his distraction, his own shield dropped, and the difference was instant. Immediately, he took multiple rounds to the chest, left arm, back, and both legs. He grunted in surprise as he dropped to the ground in a puff of red mist. To anyone other than Rain, he was a dead man. However, none of the rounds that hit made it past his skin, and those that hit his jacket were stopped before even making it that far. He hadn't expected to get hit, though he made the most of the situation, opting to lay on the ground, playing dead while he tried to figure out the situation.

Rain found that interesting thing in Zack's brain. Odd, she thought. "This might hurt," she told him, then touched the object, making it's structure melt into nothing. She passed out of him, the object in her hand. "You've got 5 seconds to leave before I turn you all to ice! Rain threathened. "5, 4, 3...

(0.o there's a good chance that'll kill him.)

Zack went into spasms the moment she took it out, jerking around uncontrollably. He tried to stand, but failed. After a moment, he lay face down on the ground, twitching, but otherwise unmoving. He was still breathing shallowly, but it was impossible to tell beneath his interior armor. In response to Rain's threat, most gangers ran off, though a few from each side remained, their hatred of each other strong enough to keep them from running.

"Crap!" Rain said as she saw Zack. She looked at the gangsters with a look so iced that they ran off. She passed into Zack again, and put the object into his brain once again. But this time she fixed it. Somehow it had been jerked from its obvious place.

Zack stood up, shooting in random directions. "Who's there? a ghost?" Zack looked around, reloading his gun. "Who's screwing with my head? I happen to like my head!" He noticed the ghostly Rain. "Hmm, I don't remember killing you, love. I think you're haunting the wrong guy." He seemed relaxed as he grinned from ear to ear, though he held his rifle across his chest in a clear threat.

Rain gained her form back. "No, you haven't killed me," she half laughed. "But you have killed quite a few of those gangsters," she said looking around. The gun didn't affect her at all.

Rebecca had been nearby, in fact she was sitting up on a rooftop, trying to concentrate on some homework it would seem. But unfortunately, some people decided to have a gang war just below her position much to her ire and resentment. She was about to go down there when the fighting stopped dead in it's tracks and curiously, she peered over the ledge and spotted several people striking up a conversation. It seems they had dealt with the annoyance and being herself, Rebecca gathered up her books and tucked them away safely in her bag before dropping off the ledge. As she fell, a large gust of wind, nearly gale force in strength pushed up against her and against everyone else in the alleyway, slowing her decent to a sudden stop on the ground. "Mind telling me why, you chose today to." She looked at the dead bodies then to the guy responsible. "go on a killing spree?" Rebecca had a serious look on her face and as quickly as the wind had kicked up, it stopped.

In fact there was no gusts of wind at all in the alleyway,it was just eerily quiet. "So what's up anyways? Besides this guy with his trigger happy disposition?" she turned to look at everyone else in the alleyway with a sigh. Her voice was cold and monotone, and she herself looked a bit stern and serious, if a bit simple in her expressions and emotions.

Rain turned to the new girl. "We're just handling something. Looks like someone tried to get rid of a gang problem," she said, jerking her head to Zack. "I'm sorry we disturbed you."

Zack grinned wolfishly. "Lucky me, I meet a ghost, a birdie, and a differenty person all in one day." He looked down at himself, poking at the bloody holes in his tee shirt and jeans where, if one were to look closely, the silver metal alloy was faintly visible beneath the torn flesh. "Except i'm all messy, cause SOMEONE distracted me." He looket at Rain for a moment before turning his attention towards Rebecca, eyeing her with an irritated smirk. "Killing spree? That was easily a Running Riot, if not a Rampage."
