| Fake was beginning to really get into this party, especially when more girls started to pour in with the occasional high-spirited boyish wonder here and there, now and then. To their party host’s remarkably curt speech, the shadowmancer’s interest was simultaneously piqued and turned-off; the brashness showed naïvety and cute egocentric idiocy, while his words twisted a fine enigma for the guests to unravel however they chose. The bit about not fighting was to be expected, but to say it in such a redundant manner as to what was presumedly already on everyone’s minds––a brawl between the few spare villains and over-populated heroes––was truly just asking, or rather challenging, someone to try. That would have to be fixed, plus idle chat for
“entertainment” and a sorry band were no proper catalysts for a good time.
Might as well stir things up a bit, Fake decided, Besides, if there’s a ruckus caused or I end up getting my *ss kicked, we’ll most likely end up having a real fiasco with the Steel City Police Department and L.A.W., if they’d be so kind to pick up their hound again. I’ve tried their patience, truth be told, but no mutual partnership is complete without the bumps that rip the reassuring seams.
Drawing a dainty cross in the air, Kaiser smirked as he came in full-view of the partygoers. He wasn’t a daunting man or someone (something) of great terror like a beast or a type of robot––much like that guy in a suit of armour impressed––but his crimson, piercing, blood-red eyes that seemed to delve into the black pupils of any ordinary mortal’s soul and rip out the tendrils of their deepest fears. The twenty-one German was also a handsome man, tall and muscular yet finely toned. He had dark black locks upon a canvas of milky-pale skin, creating a mysterious contrast of darkness and light. He wore well-tailored, aristocratic clothing: a crimson dress-shirt with a pair of dark, coal-coloured slacks, shiny black shoes, and a matching silk vest. He walked with poise, but had the structure of a military man built into his vertebrae.
Amongst all the pretty ladies after striding to the near-center of the room, “Fake,” as he was called by many, approached the girl with the bright pink hair. Something about the way she wore an expression of resentment towards the occupants of this room implied to him that she was not “of the heroic party.” A great find, even more so when taking into account that although he knew that the girl with the bleach-white ponytail was a villain, she was not one for perusing any more than a casual glance.
“Excuse me,” Kaiser said as he subtly approached the eccentric young woman, his confidence emanating that of a fine gentlemen, “but the colour of your eyes is very alluring, very different and enticing. May I ask for your name... or alias, if you’d be more willing to share it amongst so many foreign faces in the crowd?”
The fact that his brother, Liev, had not arrived was beginning to be a trivial interest now that Fake had began to put a new plan into play.• • • • • “More in your boat?” Backlash repeated mirthlessly, “Now that’s not suspicious at all.” She turned around to see a guy in a red hood, the one she hadn’t noticed until the kid in the funky suit had introduced him to her. Eyeing him with decent curiosity––but certainly not enthusiastically or exactly impressed––Backlash decided that talking to him was worth a shot, especially now that she realised he was the one who crashed through the window. “Nice acrobatic skills, you’ve obviously been sporting this get-up longer than most, I’m guessing by that kind of trained talent. Oh, and like that weirdo said, the name’s Backlash. I’d wouldn’t call myself a hero or a villain, but I guess that really depends on where you stand.”
The stocky, punkish girl with a knack for electricity and all things related, a set of whips to crack down on whoever stood in her way, and a more recently “infamous” superhuman winked and thrust out her hand, followed by a wide grin.
“Nah, I’m just kidding about the hero thing. But seriously––you have some wicked specs going for ya. Very wicked.” |

| Seeing that Nikki didn't seem to want to talk, Alpha walked closer to the center of the room. All sorts of people were here at the party, even Static, whom Alpha had fought with against Hollowman. All around him were all sorts of peculiar people. Alpha had no idea so many super-powered individuals could be condensed into one building. Tonight would be a very interesting one, indeed. - - - Vene walked into the Pylon, probably the latest guest. She remembered the letter she had received, not addressed to Vene, but to Jasmine. How the host of this party found out her identity, she had no idea. But it was probably wise not to ask. She looked around, hoping to see Naga, but, of course, the giant snake-man would not appear at a gathering like this. Pity. He was one of the only friendly faces she knew, especially in this city. Of course, it wasn't nice in Gotham, but she knew a lot of people then. Before...Vene quickly shook the thought, not wanting to lose control here. She finally decided to get a drink, stand in the corner, and wait. | |

| Giving Jason an explanation of who he was and giving him a brief amount of answers to the questions Jason had, the party host measles his way onto the stage where he gives the crowd tonight the options of how they want to spend their night. Looking over at the woman standing next to him, Jason recognizes her after hearing Senshuken say her name as Jason remembered her being a part of the Teen Titans briefly.
Backlash, decided to return from your home country just for a party? Or have you been in Steel City for a while? | |
