Clash (Night Hawks and Seth's Agents)

Nikki growled and crouched close to the ground as the lights went out. She looked around her in every direction expecting a sudden attack. Her ferret ears perked forward as she heard some one whispering something.
She started to wonder where the heck her team mates went and why Mr. Pacific hadn't chosen some place where the lights hadn't been scheduled to shut down. She growled again as her eyes adjusted to the darkness and sniffed the air, figuring out that there was some one new to the little mob hiding in the alley.
She grinned to herself, he had just trapped himself. Or so the ferret thought. She could climb up onto the top of the ware house and jump on him from above. She dug her claws into the building and started towards the roof, peeking around the corner for a second to see if her next chase toy was still in place.

Rico was still on the ground. She didn't care about the pain anymore. She cared about her vision. It was gone. She couldn't see. The chemicals were still burning into her eyes, and she couldn't see at all. Kyte ordered her to drive the Venom away in the car. Rico wanted to follow orders, but she couldn't drive if she couldn't see. She couldn't even find the car.

Rico stood up and tried to find car anyways. Kyte had said that if she didn't get better to ignore his order, but if she couldn't do what her brother wanted she was useless. Rico imagined Kyte leaving her behind with hatred in his eyes. She imagined him saying "I don't need you anymore, Rico."

She couldn't let that happen. The cyborg stumbled around, tripping over some bricks on the ground and falling down. This couldn't be happening. It couldn't...

Rico fell unconscious.

Mr. Pacific was still on the ground, trying to recover his breath. He hoped that he hadn't broken anything. The lights went out. The other dealer, the man with black hair, must have some sort of superpower dealing with electricity. The man threatened to kill them all tonight. However, the fact that he hadn't already stabbed Pacific in the heart meant that he either thought he was already dead or had lost sight of him in the dark.

Drive the venom away? So, they had a vehicle nearby with the venom in it. Who knew how much Venom was in there? Pacific pulled his communicator up to his lips and whispered into it.

"Haruhi, get their car and take it back to base." Being able to steal a car full of Venom would hurt the Venom cartel much more than beating up two dealers. "If we get the car, we can get out of here."

Seth had been asleep, a rare event, when Kyte had called. Why did that agent call him more often than all the others combined? Oh well, Kyte was a valuable resource. He had missed the call, and something now seemed to be interfering with the connection.

Seth sat up in bed and walked over to Agent Saturn's room. The immortal teenager was also asleep, and it took a few seconds for Seth to shake her awake. As soon as Orta's eyes opened, Seth grabbed her hand.

"Give me a link to Kyte and Rico, now."

The white-haired Orta looked terrified upon waking up to Seth's masked face. She immediately established the mental link with the two most prestigious agents Seth had, allowing Seth to join the link.

Rico was down? Kyte was sneaking around in the shadows? What was going on?

"Kyte," Seth said, directly into Kyte's mind. "Something's wrong with Rico. Get her and the Venom out of there. Unless they are Titans, they are not worth fighting."

Nikki scurried up the wall and ran across the roofs trying to catch up with the truck. She was keeping up with it pretty well though her front leg was really starting to hurt from that gunshot earlier. She jumped from the roof planning to hit the top of the vehicle. She hit the back of the truck and scrambled to grab on to it. She barely managed to hold onto the truck's tailgate and her arm was really starting to bother her. She held on for a few seconds before the truck turned sharply and she lost her grip and fell into the road. The were ferret layed there for a few seconds to try to catch her breathe and let the adrenaline leave.
She finally decided to get up and check her left arm, now that the adrenaline rush was over it was really hurting. She would have to make a note for the next time they took out bad guys, look out for the gun. The shoot had only been a grazing shot, but it was still bleeding quite a bit.
Nikki stood finally and limped back to the rest of the group. Hopefully Mr. Pacific would have some medical stuff for them to use back at the old hotel.

"Okay team," Pacific said, barely able to stand. "Let's head back to base. We've accomplished our goal. Gather up all of the Venom viles that are left and bring them with. Is anyone other than Nikki hurt? We'll get you fixed up, don't worry."
