Legendary Treasure (Open to All)

Officially, government agents from L.A.W. were searching for an alien metal. The metal would then go to aid the government's research. Unofficially, the likelihood of the Double-Man Project 'inheriting' this metal was slim. For this reason, Mr. Slaughter was unofficially sent to find this metal before the Feds did.

There it was, a small cave in the woods. Four guards stood outside the entrance with standard machine guns. They would not be enough to stop Mr. Slaughter.

Slaughter smiled. If he found this mythical metal, perhaps he could use some of it to upgrade his armor.

Walking out from behind the trees, Slaughter approached the entrance to the cave. He was wearing civilian clothing, consisting of blue jeans and a flannel shirt. It was a strange outfit for him, considering he usually wore armor.

The guards saw him coming with obvious violent intent. One of them yelled at him, telling him to stop. Slaughter kept going. The guards raised their guns and opened fire, trying to shoot out his legs. The bullets bounced off of the alien's skin, doing no damage. The soldiers panicked and kept shooting, aiming for his face, his neck, and his chest. The alien kept walking until he got within an arm's reach. In one massive swing, Slaughter knocked down two guards. Another swing took out the other two.

Leaving the four guards with several broken bones, Slaughter entered the cave.

All was quiet and still, until... BANG, BANG, BANG! Gun shots rang out through the forest with violent force. They were the never ending, cascading shots of a machine gun that continuously fired. But the sound of the shots was returned by the gentle PING as they deflected off the object of their target. They weren't far away, maybe four of five people at most.

Insominia's ears pricked, taking all of this in as she crouched underneath an ancient giant oak tree. Her hood veiled her face and she shut her eyes tighter and listened intently. Now there was no sound; all movement had stopped. She rose and darted over tree roots and fallen debris to the source of the sound, as silently as faintest breeze. Her bare feet carried her swiftly, hard and callused from years of wear from rock, sand, and water. Her eyes fastened upon a lone figure, tall and looming in the near distance. It stood in front of a cave, and strewn on the ground around it were four people who were as still as the grave.

Insominia glided closer and crouched down to watch. Who could this be, and what was their intent? They were not afraid of violence and must have had an intent purpose to bring them to such an isolated region of the forest. The people on the ground, dressed so stiffly, must have been together as a force, but a force of what? The cave, small and insignificant, but it must have held a secret that these people were well aware of.

The figure entered the cave confidently, as if they knew exactly what they were doing, but what were they doing? Insominia swept out from behind a tree and followed, intrigued by the circumstances. She crept silently toward and cave and peered in, blinking several times in order to adjust her eyes to the semi darkness in contrast to the sunlit forest. The figure was there. On an impulse, with adrenaline rushing through her veins, Insominia stepped into the entrance of the cave, an ominous figure clad in black that most resembled the reaper of death. "How badly do you want it?"

Haruhi jumped from tree to tree, ever since her transformation she had been drawn to trees more and more. Looking down from one she noticed something that looked like a limp body on the ground. Landing, she looked over the four bodies that layed in the entrance of the cave.
"What the...what went on here?" she stealthily and quietly walked over the bodies to the entrance of the cave. Peering in, she stayed close to the wall, staying out of sight for now. All she saw was a figure in a dark robe, and another figure standing a while away.

Annabella was already deep in the cave,close to the diggers.She watched them from a good distance.She smirked as she watcehd them work.She had been in here before they had been.She had been takin a snooze.

OOC: Not at all. The more the merrier!

BIC: Slaughter heard someone behind him. "How badly do you want it?"

What? Slaughter turned around to face the stranger. He wasn't too far into the cave, but the newcomer was blocking his only escape route. Slaughter stood in a combat-ready stance. People didn't normally walk around looking like a reaper.

Such a strange question. Did this person know about the alien metal?

"Enough to kill anyone who gets in my way. Don't stand in my way. Why are you here?"

Annabella studied them before looking in the direction of voices.She wondered who would be down here.

Listening, watching, and weighing her options, Insominia stood firmly in the entrance of the cave. The man before her resembled no one she had met before. The machine guns must have been aimed at him, and yet, he didn't appear to have obtained even a scratch. He couldn't be from earth. He faced her, his body tense and coiled, ready to spring. She was a threat, but why? What was he attempting to gain? What could be so important? She assumed it must be something wonderful, something that could be hers.

"I know what you seek in the depths of this cave," Insominia lied, "but obtaining the object will be more difficult than you assume. You may be strong, and resilient, but other defenses have surely been put into place. Defenses that even you couldn't penetrate. Two heads are always better than one and mine is quite exceptional. So, I will make you an offer, either, you take me with you and we work together to obtain the object, or you go alone and I go alone, and I get there first. The choice is yours."

It was risky, but Insominia was ready for an attack. Slowly, with a thin, pale hand, she reached up and lowered her hood, letting it fall down her back. Her lengthy black hair swooped down and her black eyes bore into the stranger's, but she wouldn't employ her hypnotic power, not yet.

Annabella managed to slip past the workers.She walked past the other defences."Halt."someone said."Nah,I don`t think I will."she said as she continued walking past them.She came close to the enterance.She peeked around a corner and looked at the two.

Musashi's eyes opened quickly as he heard the sounds of a dishonorable weapon. He was sitting underneath a dyeing tree with no leaves and it's skeleton branches reaching for the sky but in vain they could not touch the blue ceiling of the world. He stood up, picking up his katana which laid lazily on his shoulder, and ran to where he heard the sound. Gunfire meant either someone was in trouble or a fight was beginning. He wanted to be a part of this fight, to improve his skills in case one day he would fight against that Hattori Samurai. He stood at the entrance of the small cave, gripping his katana. He unfortunately left the second long sword at the dyeing tree but had a shorter sword on his belt. He was glad he had his shorter blade with him. It was beginning to look like this fight is going to be in close quarters. He walked down the cave cautiously, holding his short sword hilt. He stopped as he saw two people facing each other, ready for battle. He crouched down, not preparing to fight, but to watch and see which one was going to fight strike first. He hid in the darkness of the cave.

Haruhi stood still in the shade of the cave, it looked like a battle was about to break out, but before it, she saw two more people sneak into the cave. She was confused on what was going on here.
She kept herself hidden not wanting to get involved, at least not yet, or until she really had to.

Slaughter considered what the cloaked stranger had said. She knew what he was looking for? And she knew something about the obstacles in the way of that treasure? In that case, Slaughter would happily join with her. If they were lucky, there would be plenty of treasure for them both. If not, he would take it all by force.

The girl lowered her hood, revealing her face and long hair. This girl was beautiful, Slaughter thought. She was also quite bold, looking him right in the eyes.

"Very well. I accept this partnership. We will find the treasure together."

Slaughter turned around. He thought he saw some shadows in the distance, so he started walking deeper into the cave to investigate.

Annabella noticed them nearing.She backed away slowly in the shadows.

Insominia nodded in satisfaction, and a small smile danced across her lips which vanished in an instant. They would find the object, together, but they wouldn't necessarily leave with the object together. Insominia watched as the stranger stalked forward into the shadowy depths of the cave. She remained where she was and slowly began to take one step at a time in the opposite direction, toward the entrance of the cave. Suddenly, she whirled around and faced the sunlight streaming in. "Show yourself," she demanded. "I heard your footsteps as you entered. What do you know about this cave?" Her eyes swept the dark corners where the observer must be crouched down, hiding.

OOC: She was looking outside the cave, so no.

BIC: Slaughter decided that he had been seeing things. His new found partner was talking to someone at the cave's entrance. Slaughter jogged over to where she was. "Are we being followed?"
