Dr. Animo

Grade: Anyone who wants to fight a C to C+ level villain with control over mutated animals.

Doctor Animo was once a promising researcher in veterinary science on Earth-1248. His career was cut short when it was discovered that he was performing twisted genetic experiments on animals. He had hoped that his research would win him the Verties Award, which is an award in veterinary science. Because of the nature of his research, he lost the award to another doctor, named Kelly. This drove him mad, and he dropped off the map for five years until he could perfect his research. He created a device called the "Transmodulator" which gave him the ability to mutate animals into twisted giant versions of themselves. He then was able to upgrade it so it could reanimate dead cells, literally bringing dead animals, but eventually he was defeated by a young Ben Tennyson and sent to Alcatraz for his crimes against nature. Later on he created a much larger version of the Transmodulator using alien DNA of the Omnitrix that he retreived from a sample of one of Ben's aliens during their battle and a large telescope in a abandoned astrology lab. This version mutated living creatures and merged them with the alien DNA, creating odd mixtures of alien and terrestrial creatures, such as a >>>volcanic bat<<<. Sadly for him, once Ben 10 returned from the Teen Titans parallel universe Animo was quickly defeated by his newly acquired alien forms. After being locked away yet again, Aloysius became obsessed with going to this new frontier and seeing what creatures it had to offer. So while in prison he studied all he could about time travel and mechanical engineering until he eventually escaped and made a device that could take him to the Teen Titans Universe. Sadly it was a one shot ordeal and once he arrived he would never be able to return. A gift to himself for he hated the current world he lived in and couldn't wait to become master of this new land.

Powers:
Animo is - partly out of necessity - a master of technical improvisation capable of constructing his devices from the simplest of materials. The prototype of his Transmodulator was constructed from commercially available electronic components and an alternated kitchen sieve. This could've aided in his escape from incarceration

He can shoot lasers from his right robotic arm that aren't lethal enough to kill a human, but the concussive force is enough to topple over a mammoth. In addition his suit does slightly augment his strength to be able to lift heavy objects such as a couch. This is a necessity for a man his age to be able to get around freely and conduct research alone.

Dr Animo has the power to telepathically or empathically control his mutated creations and some animals. Although this doesn't include ordinary animals that he does not own. He apparently learned this power from one of Ben's other enemies in jail, Clancy, who could control bugs and other arthropods the same way. This might also explain how he was able to escape from prison so many times.

Weakness:

Intelligence - Beings with high intelligence or advanced genes cannot be mutated at all or for limited amounts of time, due to it being harder to mutate all the functioning cells in their intellectually more equipped brains.

Human - He himself is only an old human, so without his minions protecting Animo he is easily taken down with brute force or any other type of weaponry.

Anger Issues - Doctor Animo thinks very highly of himself at all times and is very hard to work with. Most alliances fail when he either betrays his partners or comes to a disagreement because he always feels he is above them. Also it's easy to bate Animo into arguing or turning him against his allies.

Equipment: 'Evolution Eye" - A device that allows Animo to touch any being of limited intelligence with his left arm and mutate it into a mutant alien version of it's former self. (This usually leaves a golden hand print or branding of his palm in the creatures flesh) For beings such as animals like birds, bugs, canines, monkeys, felines and fish this effect is almost irreversible and must but manually overrided with a device that heals mutations; such as the Omnitrix itself. However, for other beings like aliens, humans, mutants with somewhat high intelligence enough to speak fluent sentences or understand concepts, the evolution only last for about an hour or so and can't be done without a power source of immense energy; like a nuclear battery. Right now his Evolution eye is powered by precious yet small gems and rubies, which he inserts into the chamber located in his right eye.

Habits/Quirks: To power his suit Animo tries to steal precious gems all the time with the help of his mutated animals and at times will try to steal things that produce tremendous energy, so that he can mutate the entire city into an army of his own minions...Permanently.

Personality: He speaks with a rather advanced dialog, yet with a mad scientist type tone to his rambles and always praises himself as the greatest scientific mind there is.
