| As the forcefield continued to close in, JaK's armor began to crack and his knees began to buckle, while being forced further and further into a crouching position. To slow down the process, he enlarged his hands and feet. By doing this he would add more wooden mass to the extremities to fill up space and cause the bubble to have to exert more pressure if it wanted to squish the teen. This to began cracking the dome now, as JaK used alll his strength available in the wooden state to keep from being crushed. Finally, he heard the warning to close his eyes and did so, instantly realizing that this other guy had finally thought of a way to get Sage out of this child's telekinetic deathtrap. The flash grenade went off and the boy was blinded, his foucs would entirely lost because of it and the energy surrounding JaK dissipated. Immediately afterwards JaK would drop to the grassy floor of the park and looked at the kid with malice intent. The little psychic was rolling around and panicking, while trying to rub the spots from his eyes. Perfect oppourtunity to mount an assault on the tiny psychopath and in the past JaK would've done so without a second thought. Take them down hard and then ask questions later once they were detained. Although, maybe this other guy was right? Sage had threatened and frightened him obviosuly with a show of his powers. The original surprise attack itself could've just been a reactive response of shock.
"Well don't just stand there, go console the kid or something you're the one who flashed him and he seems to like you better anyway."
JaK would fold his arms and look away from Renegade as he said this. He wasn't big on thank yous and he was worse with showing mercy to attempted murders, but this one time he would show some leniency instead of pummeling the telekinetic. He'd probably regret it, but hey, giving the benifit of the doubt is usually the right thing to do; but, doesn't always mean it's the smartest. |

| Renegade raised his eyebrows beneath his mask ~console the kid... yeah.. right...~. He cleared his throat and approached the boy cautiously. "We have no connection with the blessed," he said in a flat tone. His tongue ran across his back teeth, "keep your eyes closed for a few moments and the pain will begin to subside," he added as he kneeled near the boy. His right hand was in his jacket front pocket. "Do you know where you are? Have you heard of the Teen Titans?" Renegade's body was still tense as he glanced back at Jak, they would be lucky if the kid had heard of the Titans.

| With the child too busy screaming, the sound of Renegade's feet stepping against the grass never really reached through the kid's own ears. The telekinetic gave up on even getting up to run, cowering in fear while both of his eyes were covered by his hands. He was now on his knees at this point, back hunched over as his face seemed to be mere inches away from the grass. After calming down some-what, the screaming subsided and the kid couldn't help but hear a voice behind him. He couldn't tell what Renegade was saying at first, and as a reaction he tried to pull his hands away to open his eyes so he could possibly turn his head around in effort to gain view of Renegade. However, he felt the same unpleasant sensation return and instead of letting his mind help recover proper vision, the kid returned back to being hunched over with his hands covering his eyes again.
The feeling of keeping his eyes shut was much more pleasant, but that same feeling was also coupled with a growing sense of death. Strangely enough, the voice was reassuring him to keep his eyes closed; that the pain will subside. The child couldn't help but get confused at this point. I-it feels good to j-just... Keep them c-closed. B-but... After recovering enough for the pain to be negligible, the kid turned his head around to catch view of Renegade. The fear was still present on his face, but it wasn't as strong as before. "B-but... I thought you were... H-hurting me like h-he wanted to..." And by to what "he" was implied, it was JaK. The kid flipped on his butt again, using one hand to keep his back off the grass as he faced the two. He kept his right hand up with a threatening glow just in case of any harmful attempt. At the same time, the kid was shivering in an obvious fear that still hadn't completely gone away. "I... I am home... T-that is all... A-and... Y-you t-two..." Mid-sentence he didn't know what to say anymore, so his voice was cut off by silence.

| JaK noticing how defensive the boy was especially to him, depowered himself. His armor appearing crawl down his skin and clothing into the soles of his shoes, where it disappeared. This affect being posible because his matter absorbing power was actually a mimic of said material not the actual material itself attached to him, although the propeties, textures, and everything else about said matter would apply. After doing so, the Titan curled his fist and gave the kid a slanted look while clenching it. The depowerment was to show JaK was no longer going to beat him seneless and either way at the moment he doubted he could with the kid's telekinetic defenses. However, him balling up his fist was to more so show he ment business.
"Me hurt!?! Listen you little brat, you attacked us!! And if you do it again, Best believe I'm going to have my telekinetic teammate mind probe you so hard you're not gonna know what the word home even means."
JaK's demeanor and threat was out of hurt pride for the most part, not to mention that the child was pointing his palm at him. Sage hismelf wasn't always the nicest person to deal with when getting mugged back in the day, even at knife point to the throat he mouthed off at the one who was robbing him. This was no different, no fear, no surrender, even if it is just a kid.
"Now quit beating around the bush; I wanna know who you are, what you are, and who sent you?"

| Renegade pursed his lips with a shake of his head. "So you realize you're in Jump City?" He said to the boy, but shot a look at Jak. Renegade could still see the defensive cues in the boys pose. The boy was obviously unstable, provoking him again wasn't going to be much help. The effects of the stun grenade would only take about five full seconds to where off, the only thing that would linger would be a minor headache. He stifled a growl, he hated dealing with kids, at the moment his pride was wounded and he felt like a bully. Lucky for the kid at least.
"Don't Titans have some sort of protocol for things like this?" He grumbled. At the moment he wasn't sure how impressed he was with the locals. At the same time though, the city seemed to be a beacon for meta humans whether hero or villain. He hoped that the kid was the source of the dead animal rumors he'd heard about.

| All that was given in answer to Renegade was a weak nod, as the main focus of the kid was towards JaK. Seeing what was to be a potential threat power down, the kid's confidence was boosted. But, he wasn't out of the flames just yet. With the sudden outburst given by JaK, the child bolted up onto his feet and took a few steps back. He put his hands up to his cheeks, letting the sleeves soak up the last tears that flowed out from his eyes. With his eye lids slamming shut, the child braced for impact during JaK's angry rant. The glow no longer lingered around his hand and finally, when JaK stopped talking the telekinetic spoke out in fear, hoping that giving into JaK would reduce his hostility. "I... I don't have a name, I think. I just live here in the park, sometimes... And... Well, I guess I just go places... Please, please, please calm down. You're scaring me... I don't like to be scared..." After that little statement, the kid's eyes would open a little to better see the reaction that would result from his words. "What is it... You are here for...? You don't... You're not the one who... Hurts the creatures; do you?" | |

| "You think? What the heck, you're not even sure on if you have a name or where you really came from?"
JaK would scratch his head peculiarly as if trying to figure out how much of what this kid was saying is bs or if he really doesn't know. At the moment his bs meter wasn't detecting anything.
"Protocol for what? For amesia cases were the wrong ones to come to. I could maybe get Psychosis to pry into his mind a bit and find out what caused him to forget or the trauma that made the kid like this, but he hates doing that. Something about prying in other people's minds who are estranged is a huge risk factor, yadayadayada something like that."
JaK could see the child was calming down, but still very distraught and obviously wasn't lieing about being in the park for a while because he to knows about the dead animals. In fact, for all they or he himelf knew, he might've been killing them but just didn't know about it or remembered.
"No, I haven't been killing the creatures. I'm a Teen Titan, the closest thing to whatever you think is a savior for this entire city or area. And as one of this place's saviors it's my job to stop all threats, now I need you to think really hard about where you came from. You have to have a name or something that people you've known could identify or call you?"
As JaK spoke he would bend over and try to do a face to face with the boy urging him with gestures to really think about his questions. In the back of his mind, however, he was still suspicious. Two assumably new meta-humans both mysteriosuly popping up in the park at night along with a bunch of dead animals. Something's wrong here and it's not just the headless squirrels or stray dogs. |

| Actually expecting a violent act, the child was shocked to see JaK taking the peaceful route. In conjunction with his timid nature, the kid began to get a naive trust towards JaK and this was only bolstered when the thought of another telekinetic being was brought to mind.
The child's eyes began to strangely widen with big interest when Psychosis' abilities were spoken of. Another... Being with power of the mind...? A small flash of memory would flood through and escape within an instant as the kid spoke to himself inside his head. The child was barely able to grasp the memory, as it just seemed to come and go far too quickly to really remember that much detail. But, as JaK continued to speak of why Psychosis refused to use his ability to pry into the mind, the child's brain began to unravel upon the thought and the memory seemed to be refined. Some details were scavenged and the confines of a soulless lab was distinguishable as a birth place; an area that he was testing his numerous abilities before being discarded shortly after creation. To see through the mind... I can... Relate... Another with power of the mind... He can help me no longer be alone... Before the child opened his mouth to ask about this Psychosis, the hands that once partially covered his face seemed to just drop weakly and the kid instinctively responded to JaK's question. "I am born in lab 12 and I am project 665 'Telekinetic'." It was as if he ignored the fact that JaK was a Teen Titan and a "savior" or hero with a helping hand. The child would say this with the most emotionally neutral face ever, before showing an expression of shock from his sudden outburst. He would cover his mouth, and just examine JaK with a bit of fear mixed with embarrassment. "S-savior... Help...?" The child would say with his voice muffled by the sleeves on his mouth. It was unknown what he was trying to convey through this message, even to himself. But, anything had to be said to make things less awkward. The child would let his hands slip down to the bottom of his mouth, waiting for response.

| (( Sorry I guess instead of asking forbidden_017, I should have just said "skip me" which is essentially the same thing. so Jak you're turn . As for the animal killer, it was something I made up for Renegade to check out and I didn't know at the time whether a hero or villain would reply so I left it open. I guess its something we can talk over.)) | |

| As the child spoke, JaK's overbearing smug demeanor seemed to suddenly fade as hurtful memories popped into his psyche. (Much like Wolverines flashbacks to when he was infused in adamantium) JaK could relate to lab testing, he himself not being born with his powers, but given them by his father. Often times he wondered what kind of man would actually risk his own children in the name of science? Eventually he realized the answer was one who was about to lose everything.
"It's ok, I'll help you kid. Based on his more automated response and having no memories of his past. It's my guess that he was either created or altered as a lab experiment, but don't quote me on that."
After saying this JaK continued to feel the anguish of his own origin, it would seem he had found something he could relate to when it comes to this boy after all.

(( I thought the animal killer was going to be the vampire that is written about in Renegade's profile? At least, that is what I was thinking. )) (( Oh and I forgot to mention that your profile is in the inactive section Renegade ^^; )) (( Am I supposed to be posting? ))

| (( my post, I'm pretty sure actually. It could be the vampire if you guys want, I would have to write up and post an NPC profile though. I have finals this week, so I would be able to post it up after Wednesday. Yeah, I know I'm in the inactive from a hiatus a month or two ago. I messaged Emblem recently, but I know he's been pretty busy. I'll probably try one of the other mods. )) (( edit: Jak's right, sorry your turn Forbidden_017 ))

| OT: It's still Forbidden's turn, but I just thought I'd mention that you could just use any of the NPC's already made. I'm sure there's some psycho killer personality in there just right for killing animals. Also, if you're only going to use the char once there's no need for an NPC profile, that's more for recurring characters. Just making suggestion, I understand though if you'd rather have your own NPC character for this. |
