Just Another Day

Among the school there was a presence. It was odd because this presence wasn't normal. One part of it had no life to it at all... like a machine. The other half of it was a presence of evil and darkness. Then a hooded man could be seen outside, in front of the main school gate. This of course was not normal at all. Most if not all the people in the school had no idea what was about to happen now. Back at the gate was a giant hole now. It would seem someone was easily able to bend the bars apart and get in. The hooded man was now standing on the other side of the gate and a janitor can be seen in the distance. The janitor reached for his walkie talkie and started talking into it.

"I...I don't know how to explain th..this, b.. but a man just ripped open the f..f..front gate with his bare hands."

The janitor warns the other janitors and principle of the school. The hooded man starts to walk closer and closer to the front doors of the school. The principle of the school had already called the police department for help. He really thought that the janitor had exaggerated the story and that the force would be able to handle this job. An announcement then comes up throughout the whole building.

"This is not a drill everyone. We are going into lockdown. Everyone get into a classroom or somewhere safe immediately!"

All the doors in the building are locked and the lights are turned off. Teachers have the kids in the classrooms and should be safe from harm. In the distance you can hear the sound of sirens coming closer and closer to the school. These were the sounds of police sirens coming to the school. The hooded man was at the front door and had his hand on the door handle to push the door open, but he heard the sound of the police sirens coming closer. He squeezed down hard onto the handle, crushing it in his hand, and turned around in the direction of the front gate again. The cops arrive and form a perimeter around the front gate of the school. Cops come out of their cars and aim their guns at the hooded man. The hooded man stands centered in the front courtyard of the school and cops slowly draw closer and closer to the hooded man.

"Don't move! Put your hands where we can see them!"

One cops yells out as the others are there to back him up. The hooded man looks at all the cops and scans through all of them. The hooded man raises his hands up very slowly. As he is doing this, his sleeves slowly raise past his hands revealing his robotic hands! You can hear all of the cops guns make a click noise signalling that they were now ready to be fired. The cops were nervous now and couldn't hold back anymore. They started shooting and roars of gunshots could be heard everywhere. The bullets ripped through the man's sweater and there was over a dozen holes in him.... but he was still standing! The cops didn't know what to do now as the hooded man grabbed onto one of the cop's neck and crushed it in his hand. The cops started to scramble in all different directions. Some shooting at the hooded man, and others just running for fear. I think the cops have taken on more than they could handle.

On impact, the rock broke into many pieces. This ripped off what was left of his hood. It was revealed that Magnus was the man under the hood! The wind was picking up, but it wasn't strong enough to phase Magnus. The cops on the other hand were getting blown in every different direction due to the strong winds. Magnus had been scanning the area to find who threw whatever had hit him. From his eye's perspective you could see it scanning for any life forms that could have thrown it, but nothing was picked up. Must've just been the wind carrying the rock by itself. The force of the wind blows a cop straight at Magnus, who catches him by his head.

"Goodbye officer."

Magnus says in his deep robotic like voice. He then starts to squeeze down on the cops head and he screams out in pain. Before he could crush the man's skull, a large rock comes hurling towards Magnus. Magnus then tosses the officer to the side and catches the rock, which causes him to slide back a bit. Magnus pushes it of himself in the direction of the cop cars. It would seem from out of nowhere, Stone, co-leader of the Titans East, would come and punch the rock into pieces.

"Don't worry officers, the cavalry has arrived."

Lance said to the officers, whom stood behind their police cruisers. Lance started to walk towards the great Magnus. Magnus had already scanned Lance as a threat and was ready to attack him. This schoolyard has now turned into a battlefield for the two. The two both got ready to fight as the wind continued to blow through the field extremely hard.

Lance was able to feel the wind coming to his aid all of a sudden. It was odd, but he didn't want to think about that right now. He was going to use this wind to his advantage now. Lance stomped on the ground and a large rock came up from the ground. Lance then does a punching motion and the rock goes flying towards Magnus. The rock gains a lot more speed from the wind as it heads straight for Magnus. Magnus was not worried tough, because he was easily able to catch the rock. He slid back a couple of feet when he caught the rock, but was able to push it out of his way. Lance realized that this man was much stronger than he already seemed and he wasn't going to take him so lightly now. Magnus then ran at Lance. he was fighting against the wind, but was still able to quickly cover the ground between the two.

"He's pretty fast for such a large man."

Lance got prepared to fight closely with Magnus. Magnus cocked back his fist and went to strike Lance. Lance ducked under the punch. The touched the ground with his hand and was quickly able to cover it was a good amount of rock and almost instantly comes up with an uppercut on Magnus. Sadly for Lance, this barely fazes Magnus and Magnus goes to backhand Lance. Lance blocks it with his armored hand and is sent sliding on his feet. Lance was using his powers to stop him from sliding back anymore, and he picked up a lot of dirt behind him.

"Hm... interesting stuff."

Lance was standing staring down Magnus until the Golden Retriever ran onto the battlefield. Lance put his hand out as he was about to go stop the dog who was now staring down Magnus. Lance was getting ready to go get the dog away, but some girl beat him to it? Lance hesitated on moving in as he watched the girl duck a punch and then slide between his legs. This was Lance's chance! Lance had began to ran and would watch as Magnus would slowly turn around to look for the girl, who just slid between his legs. Lance winded back his fist and then jumped in the air and over Brianna and gave a good punch straight to Magnus's face with his rock covered hand. Magnus only slightly stumbled back, and this gave enough time for Lance to warn Brianna.

"Take the dog and look for cover!"

Lance would quickly say as Magnus started to regain his composure again.

Lance would watch as the lightning would strike fairly close to them. This was um... a bit too close for comfort for Lance. The rain would pour onto the whole area and made it tough to see. It was like this was a mini hurricane. Lance would look as Magnus was almost facing him, but Lance went under ground. Magnus would look around, scanning the area around him. Of course the scanner would not detect him. Lance would then make the ground shift under Magnus's feet and would cause him to fall over onto his stomach. Lance would then cause the rocks to come up from the ground and restrict Magnus onto the ground.

"This is one tough guy here."

Lance felt the vibrations of the large man falling and hitting the ground. This was his chance to go and strike this robotic man. Lance was under the ground still as he tunneled straight up just below the Magnus. Lance had covered his body in a rocky armor as he popped out from the ground underneath Magnus. Lance had tackled him up into the air and held on to his back as they went straight up in the air. Lance had gripped around Magnus's back as they started to turn around in the air and head straight down towards the ground like a missile. Lance put some spin on it as they both came crashing towards the ground. Brianna would run out of the way from where the collision was about to be. The two would crash into the ground, causing a crater in the ground. Magnus would be seen with his head and almost half his body dug into the ground. Lance's body wouldn't been seen in the crater though. Instead Lance would pop up right next to where Brianna was standing, surprising her.

"Man, he was one tough guy."

Lance would say as the rain continued to pour down on them. Lance would run his hand through his hair to get it out of his face. He looked into the crater and Magnus had to be down now.

Brianna jumped as Lance popped up next to her. Even when she realized it was only the Titan, she didn't completely relax, on guard now that the bigger threat was taken care of. She was distracted from him, though, as Callum's dog came running up, barking happily. Behind him was Rai's kitten and Elijah's owl, all racing towards their carer. Brianna smiled as she felt the bird's familiar weight land of her shoulder and the tiny cat's affectionate tugging on her sleeve. The dog was the most excited, nearly bowling her over as he jumped up to lick her face.

'Hey there! Calm down, I'm fine.'

As if sensing his pet's contentment, Callum's thoughts returned to Brianna's mind and the storm lessened, turning into a light shower and disappearing completely. The other two ghosts came back as well, Rai's winds calming down and Elijah's relief bringing out the sun. The girl turned back to Lance, flicking her drenched hair out of her face.

'Um, thanks. And, uh, sorry. You know, for the dog getting in your way and all.'

As Brianna said the words, she scratched behind the retriever's ears with an apologetic smile. She was trying to ignore the hysterical lecture that Rai was giving her inside her head; she knew the woman didn't really mean it. The wind had dropped, and it was a perfect day again. Callum was trying to calm Rai down, and Elijah was basking in the normalcy of Brianna's mind. Back to the usual chaos. The girl shut them out, concentrating on Lance.

'So, you're a Teen Titan, right?'

Lance looked around as the storm that was above them cleared instantly. That was quite uh... odd to say the least. Lance didn't question that right now though. He then watched as a dog, a cat, and a bird all went to Brianna all at once. Lance went ahead and twisted his scarf, squeezing the water out of it as he turned to Brianna.

"Are all those three animals yours? And to answer your question, yes I am a titan."

Lance would say with a smile on his face. Lance then ruffled through his hair with his hands, getting the water out of it. His hair would go back to the spikey way it was before it got wet. He would then look at the girl as she was petting the dog, waiting for her response.

'Well, they're not really mine, but I take care of them. They don't really belong to anybody... Not any more.'

Brianna's tone changed a little as she explained, but she caught herself and quickly returned the smile to her face. Her friends had calmed down now, animal and ghost alike. Well, most of them.

Brianna, are you insane? Why on earth did you do that?!

Callum's dog ran out! I had no choice! What would you say if it was your cat instead?

C'mon, Bree, that's harsh. You're safe now. It doesn't matter.

Callum is right. Just be happy that you have your health.

Sure, Elijah.

Well, I suppose you're right...

Brianna sighed as Rai got off her back, then noticed it might seem a little strange to the Titan that she was sighing at nothing. She quickly continued the conversation, trying to avoid any questions.

'So, do you Titans do this kind of thing every day?'
