"That's true... but I meant to feed it in hopes of calming it down," he answered, and Simca turned around to give him an incredulous, deadpan stare. The stare continued for a good two minutes - one hundred and twenty seconds in total - for which time the dinosaur continued to screech and roar, and was promptly ignored.

Then, at the one-hundred and twenty-first second, Simca spoke. "... You want to turn that thing into a pet?"

Of course, at that point Simca spotted something yellow out of the corner of near-perfect vision and the dinosaur turned on its heel and ran in the opposite direction. "Quick! It may lead us to whoever abandoned it here!"

"Wait! We're not--"

And Daniel was gone.

"... the predators here... oh, duck me," Simca cursed before promptly jumping into the air behind Daniel and ignoring the goosebumps that were plaguing her constantly. Somersaulting, then kicking the air beneath her feet, she flipped in a wide arc across the bank floor towards the doorway that the raptor continued to approach.
