Midnight Museum Misplacement [Open]

The moon was obscured by clouds on this dry night in Jump, since Nina had gotten to the top of the business food chain now, owning various comic stores around Jump and getting money from each of them, she now found herself with a lot of time on her hands, and having not heard anything from her criminal friends for a while, and not having a shop front to tend to, she needed to entertain herself in other ways so she wouldn't turn insane from boredom.

Entering the vents as a fox, Nina would take down the cameras in a few areas, diverting attention from the area she actually intended to steal from. The silent alarm would go off and Nina would get to work, stealing small things that she could hide in her kimono purple, her face would be covered by a kitsune mask and she had used her powers to hide her ears and tails, making her look human, because otherwise it'd be super easy to catch her.

Nina would be quickly stuffing jewellery, historical artefacts, and other small items into the inside pockets of her kimono.

Guards would naturally appear to oppose Nina, followed by a lockdown triggered by a lazer trip wire around the displays. In a world inhabited by super powered beings, some degree of security was expected. "Freeze!" One guard barked, aiming at Nina with his pulse rifle.

Ever since the events of the bank and museum, Robin had decided to keep tabs on the museum for a time. Though he didn't know one way or the other if the two incidents had been linked, just incase he'd be ready if someone tried to hit the place up again. And sure enough, someone did. On his R-cycle, Robin sped off into the city to arrive outside the museum a short time later.

Nina would turn around "oh crap, urm, hi fellas, that's not the kind of gun I was expecting urm..." she would suddenly split herself into her clones, making 6 Ninas in total, all of which scattered, the clones focusing on running around the guards, trying to narrowly avoid getting shot while the real Nina headed to a vent in a dark corner, turning into her fox form and heading into it, she wasn't very happy with her haul, but she would have to think smarter next time, she would creep around inside the vents, the clones would just poof into thin air when hit, eventually leaving the guards with an empty room, but with the museum in lockdown and the guards on alert, Nina would have to think carefully.

"What the hell?!" A guard barked before they all started to open fire, sending energy shots at the clones whilst avoiding causing any damage to the exhibits. Which probably made it even easier for the real Nina to escape, leaving the guards briefly confused as Robin picked the lock and ran in- though it did prompt the guards to train their sights on him for a moment. "Hold yer fire! It's just a Titan. Everyone fan out and search the perimeter!" The apparent guard in charge ordered, scattering the others to begin searching for Nina.

"What happened?" Robin asked, looking around the room as the guard explained. Someone wearing a Kitsune mask? Was she working with the girl in the Hannya mask? "My guess is she probably escaped in the vents," Robin suggested, narrowing his search as the guard phoned in for the others to find every vent to the outside and keep an eye on it. Robin would eventually find the vent Nina had ran through in a secluded corner of the room. He pulled out a light and briefly shone it down, not seeing anything which either meant shey was already half-way gone, or she was hiding in there. Using his own experience with sneaking and inflitration, he'd wager she'd be heading up higher if she were to make her escape. Robin would put the grating back up and screw it in with a birdarang, that would keep one way closed off.

He'd then pull out his communicator and say, "This is Robin, I need some help at the museum a few blocks away from The Perez Bank," Robin said flicking it closed and making his way back outside. Maybe he could catch her if he got on the roof...

Nina would be climbing through the vents as a fluffy fox, heading towards the roof and planning to climb down somehow, Nina would sniff around, trying to be cautious of which way she went as to not rattle the vents too much.

Until help arrived, Robin was left to deal with this situation at hand. Maybe a guard would find something but he wasn't going to bet on it. Until he could determine that she had nothing to do with the Hannya Girl he'd have to be careful as he easily climbed up to the roof above, bo-staff out. He didn't see anything yet, so carefully started to look around for any signs of where she had gone. Making clones was definitely a ninja trope so it was possible that she scaled the roof like he did, or she could have just magically teleported for all he knew. The only thing he did find was her point of entry, collapsing his bo-staff and pulling out a light again to shine down into the vent to see what he could see...

Soon after Robin contacted the T-tower, a dark portal opened in the middle of the museum, no doubt startling the guards, who have already been on edge due to all of the crazy stuff happening here. Raven floated out of the portal, landing next to Robin. There were bags under her eyes, one of the hairs was out of place, and a deep frown on her face.

"So much for my beauty sleep... What is it this time?"

The demon girl let out a yawn, before looking around, and meeting the eyes of the two guards, who were just staring. Must have been new, or something. Her eyes then fell on the guns they were holding, not training them anywhere in particular. Then, she caught the sight of Robin eyeing the vents. It wasn't too hard to put two and two together.

"A thief committed a robbery just a few moments ago. She's escaping through the vents!" - one of the guards explained.

"You boys know how to use those things?" - the girl nodded towards the guns.

The guards looked at each other, then at her, and nodded feverishly. Raven nodded at the vents, in a silent command. And soon, the sounds of gunfire echoed across the museum.

*BRATTATATATATAT!*

The bullets perforated the vent ducts. She did not expect them to hit the thief. If anything, the noise inside had to be horrible, and force the thief out of hiding.

Robin would see the glow of animal eyes in the vent as they came rushing out, desperately escaping the noise, some kind of animal jumped out at Robin and would bounce off him if he was in the way, jumping out onto the roof and running to the fire exit, or if there wasn't one, the side where the dumpsters were kept.

Robin would react as you would expect with a potentially vicious and dangerous animal suddenly leaping out of the darkness, only to quickly find it was just a red fox. He lessened his guard and watched it scamper away, immdiately confused for a moment as he quickly peered back into the vent. Robin didn't know that Raven had arrived just yet, so chalked up the guards' shooting as their own doing before he followed after the fox to see where it went. He wasn't an animal expert, and probably knew less about what sorts of animals apart from the norm of cats, dogs, and maybe rats. But something about a Red Fox just didn't seem... normal.

With the trigger-happy guards gleefully spending their ammo on the vents, Raven set out to find Robin. She could sense his presence above, on the roof, and phased through the walls in order to get herself there. Emerging right next to him, as he was busy staring at an animal scampering off. Only briefly curious about what this was about, before she knew. The aura from that fox was ... powerful.

"That is no ordinary creature. Did it happen to run out of the vents by any chance?"

Raven would say, as she would extend her hand forward, and flip one of the trash containers to trap the fox underneath of, before it could run away!

Nina would swear in her head and started making unhappy fox noises, desperately clawing at the pavement and bouncing around the dumpster, it then suddenly went quiet.

The news had been covering the crime before the Titans had even got there. That was convenient. Butcher had gotten there around the same time that Raven had arrived, which was also convenient. She set herself up on the roof across from the alley that the three were in already. It had a high wall she could just barely see over.

"Bloody Supes. Can never keep their nose out of ****."

She'd mumble to herself. It seemed there were three there to deal with. Robin, Raven, and the fox. She didn't know anything about the fox, but knew just a bit about the other two. She wasn't sure what Robin's power was, but the boy was efficient. Raven's powers seemed to be whatever she wanted really. Magic related. Scary, but not unmanageable.

She stood on a milk carton, putting the scoped rifle on the wall and taking aim. Fox was in the dumpster, the other two were subduing it. Raven had to be first. She was the most dangerous, right?

She lined the shot up, aiming for center mass. That damn cloak made it hard to be accurate from this distance, though. Especially with FMJ rounds. Butcher was confident as she pulled the trigger though.

If Raven didn't see it coming, which Butcher doubted she would, the bullet would tear through the back of her cape and barely graze her side.

"Bloody hell!"

Unlucky! Butcher pulled the hammer back to load another bullet.

Robin offered Raven a nod as she appeared and trapped the fox using a dumpster. "It did actually. And I don't think it's very common to see Foxes running around-" Robin started his reply as a shot suddenly ran off from the roof across from them. It had almost hit Raven, prompting Robin to on reflex pull out a birdarange and hurl it slightly angled toward what looked like the barrel of a rifle. He then would pull Raven behind the other side of the dumpster to get them both out of sight incase his birdarange missed, reaching into one of the pouches on his belt and grabbing some smoke pellets that he lobbed in the direction of the street toward their shooter. The fox would have to wait till later..

The smoke screen would hopefully obscure them from the shooter long enough for him to get closer. "I'll try to hold their attention, you go and flank em," Robin told Raven before moving through the smoke. Grabbing his grappling hook, Robin fired it up toward one of the taller buildings by the shooter's location and pulled himself up into the air just high enough to get a quick bird's eye view before severing the cord and free falling back down with his bo-staff in hand.

*Blam!*

Raven froze in the air a bit, as she felt her cloak torn, and something warm spreading along her side, soaking into her leotard. Robin pulled her down, in cover behind a trash container, and deployed a smoke bomb, when she finally got back into herself. She was not a stranger to guns. Good guys used guns, bad guys used them too. But usually it was blazing and in the face. This was... different. It was a shot for the kill, meant for her. The fact it missed was sheer luck.

It was at times like this Raven found herself vulnerable. It was a nasty feeling, especially considering everything she went through. A brief thought that some gunman with an agenda would be able to end it all.

And it was making Raven angry. The shadows under her hood grew deeper, a familiar sinister red hint briefly blinking underneath. As Robin voiced his plan, she nodded, and covered herself with her tattered cloak, before phasing through the asphalt. Gone from the visuals and sensors, traveling... somewhere underneath. The gunner was there, on the rooftop. She could not see her, but sense the anger and hate a mile away, like a beacon.

A beacon a shadow moved towards.

Nina would hear a commotion outside of the dumpster, turning herself human as well as her clones human, she would start lifting up the dumpster, peeking out and seeing the two heroes occupied, she would get herself out from under the dumpster, then turned back into a fox, vanishing her clones as she ran out of the alley, starting to make her escape.
