It had been a stressful time, coming back. Facing his sister, running from the OU...he needed to rediscover a sense of normality, so, he decided he could at least start with a trip to the park. Sure, he was new to Jump,
but he always used to love going to the park and, no matter what city he was in, he felt like he could find some comfort there.

Looking down at his watch as he was jogging up and down the grassy hills of the park, he read 10:37 in the morning. Time was flying by pretty quickly as he made his way through his new playlist, but, he still didn't have to meet back up with his sister for a few hours. He could forget about everything that was happening in his life for a bit and just relax.

As he jogged down the sidewalks, he nodded along to Buddy Holly, his blue sweatshirt's strings bopping up and down to the rhythm of the song. He slowed himself and rested his hands on his knees as he made it to a park bench. There was a group of four or five playing with a frisbee, a couple playing with their dog, and a small line of people approaching a food stand, picking up lemonade, ice cream, and hotdogs.

Jackson smiled to himself and took a seat at the bench. In the moment, everything seemed so peaceful.

Another boy had decided to visit the park,since he was off from patrolling today. Of course,that didn't stop Toji from having hidden his mask somewhere on his person,but he didn't expect to need it. Thus,he was in civilian mode, dressed in a comfortable looking,somewhat baggy set of green cargo shorts, discreetly reinforced sneakers, and a slightly oversized, orange t-shirt. A large, offwhite scarf was wrapped loosely around his neck, and a black beanie, the front decorated with a game character, held back all but a couple of blue bangs of his unusually spiky and fluffy mane.

The young hero was in line for the food stand. Once it was time for his order, Toji ordered a large lemonade and a few hotdogs, giving the ice cream a wary look before giving the owner a bright smile and thanks. Picking up his little treat, he glanced around for a spot to eat before spotting the bench Jackson was sitting at. Walking over, Toji smiled and gave a admittedly awkward wave, being somewhat loaded down with food. "Hello! May I sit with you?"

Nearly zoned out in the scene, Jackson didn't even notice as a younger boy walked up to him, armed with some snacks, saying something, but being overpowered by the music in Jack's ears. Quickly, he pulled out his right ear bud and widened his eyes as he looked at the stranger.

"Hm?" He asked, uncertainly, before realizing what he had probably meant. His gaze shifted to the rest of the bench beside him. "Oh, yeah, sure, go for it!" He said, a little embarrassed. "Plenty of bench for the two of us, right?"

He tried to shoot the guy a smile, feeling a little bad. He hated being the type of person who would just zone out into his own world, ignoring any possible interactions with the outside world.

"Hey, um...my name's Jackson," he said, giving a partial smile, "Are you from around here?"

Toji smiled at the older boy as he says sure, and nods in agreement with his statement. "Thanks,and yep!!" Sitting down, the young halfling takes a sip from his drink. Glancing back over to Jackson as he introduces himself and asks if he was from around here, Toji grins back at him."Nice to meet you, Jackson! Name's Toji." The grin turns slightly sheepish as he responds to the question. "Uhm..kinda. I've lived here a good while,at least. How about you?"
