A Simple Job (open)

"How about right now?"

From behind Dar a silhouette of JaK Sage would emerge from the shadows and step into the moonlight. His trademark glasses rested atop of his head while his coat blew in the wind. He had been on his way home from visiting Titans Central and as he reached the docking area heard a gun shot.

"Sucks for you, guns make loud noise and I don't break so easy."

JaK would then clench his fist, not wanting to even tell the guy he was a Titan. Mainly because he liked to beat down on tough guys, even better a tough guy assassin. It's been a while since he had a straight 1 V 1 combative fight with no outside metahuman ray-blasts and such.

"Sorry, I've always had a problem with following directions. Especially from the men in blue."

As the tall man approached Sage, JaK would look unafraid...After fighting Death itself, other creeps couldn't really unnerve you. Though, he did notice the bullet wound on the guys leg. Which, suggested either he was on some strong medication or he had some kind of enhanced durability by the way he walked as if it wasn't there.

"Great and here I thought we could have an old fashioned throw down with no powers involved, but I guess I was wrong."

JaK would then sigh, as he backed away from the man and then placed his hands on the dock, his body encasing itself in the strong wood platform. This wasn't the strongest material he could absorb of course, but it was the most readily available and was better than nothing. He just needed something that could pack more of a pow than a regular punch and take more damage than human skin.

"OUFF!!"

Right after changing, Sage would take the fist to the stomach and get sent flying back across the dock; where he skidded across the planks of wood that made it up. The wood that covered his body where the fist connected broke immediately on impact into pieces and the boy would spit up blood a bit as he sat up, his abdomen was definitely bruised. The wind had gotten knocked out of him on impact as well, but all in all he was alive. His enhanced healing factor started to kick in on the immediate area of impact, but he still felt like a little boy who took a punch from Mike Tyson to the stomach; who was packing a brick for a hand.

"UGh...Ok, this guy hits harder than I thought. Gonna need some heavy duty for this one."

JaK would then stand to his feet and hold his side, he underestimated his opponent and now had to hope this burised area would not handi-cap him the rest of the fight. Dispelling the wooden plank Sage decided to upgrade to a more solid material as he took out a copper coin from his pocket and absorbed it's properties instead. Now a blow from this guy would feel just like a blow from a regular boxer unless of course he can hit harder than that, but it really didn't matter beacue Sage didn't intened on taking a direct blow like that again.

"Nice hit, I see you're as strong as another villain I know called Ironhide, but now it's my turn."

Sage taking the pain from the blow in stride would run at the man and leap into the air, Twirling as he came down and went for a spin kick, which Dar blocked with his elbow and as Sage dropped to the ground, the assailant went for another swipe with his free hand; but this time the boy quickly ducked it and went for a right hook to his ribs to counter, before switching levels and coming at his temple with a left.

As Sage landed the hits and caused Dar to stumble back, his eyes would grow wide-eyed in an anime style as the vehicle came flying towards him. It's not that special, with a durable enough source JaK could do the same; but copper unlike diamond and steel could be bent pretty easily in comparison. So right now, his strength level was not anywhere near that of Dar's; maybe at max the same as a Alpha-male Gorilla and this police cruiser could very well cause some serious damage if not put him in a coma from blunt force trauma. As JaK thought all this, he would leap onto the vehicle as it came flying towards him and front flip off of it. Coming towards Dar with a dropkick aimed at the man's skull. He knew he had high-durability, but maybe rattling his brain would do the trick.

As Sage landed he saw the back hand coming and raised his armored forearms to deflect the blow, but the force behind it was very powerful and sent JaK backwards off his feet. Though, instead of falling over, Sage used the momentum to send himself into a backwards handstand/back-flip. Landing on his feet and then charging at the man again, going for another side kick, which Dar stepped back to avoid and then spinning around as he went for a straight right hand that was caught. JaK would immediately try to pull his hand away afterwards, but Dar just clenched his palm and began to dent the teens hand instead.

"ARRRGH!! Sorry buddy, ACK! But, I really don't swing this way."

JaK would grunt in pain for this felt like his fingers were getting slowly run over by a car; then thinking quickly jumped up and mule kicked Dar in the chest, sending him stumbling back a bit. While at the same time letting go of Sage's hand, who looked at his dented appendage and then back at Dar. His fingers looked abnormally deformed or bent even, but he knew once he dispelled the armor that would go away and everything would click back into place. It was the same of affect of pinching your skin kind of and pulling at it, after you're done it goes back to the way it was. Meanwhile, the police officer had taken this time to pull out his walkie-talkie and was attempting to radio for back-up.

"WHOA!"

Is all JaK could say as he ran towards Dar, who he thought was screwing around as he took off his coat; but instead found out he was planning on using it as a whip. The coat snapped as it barely missed Sage, who leaned back barely avoiding the swipe and then side stepped to avoid another lashing. Yet on the last whipping, Dar got smart and aimed for Sage's leg even though JaK leaned sideways thinking it was aimed at his face. The trench coat wrapped around Sage's leg and within one mighty tug, the Titan was sent flying towards Dar; who wound up his free hand and placed it squarely in JaK's side abdomen opposite to his original lower stomach wound. The blow would crack his rib and shatter the metal surrounding it, the force behind that blow would've knocked out rhinoceros. Sage on the other hand, was sent smashing down into the dock; where he almost broke completely threw it, but instead just sent multiple floor boards flying up. Then as Dar went to capitalize, he would hear police sirens behind him, from out of the vehicles about five officers would kneel behind the police cruisers' doors and point their firearms at him.

"DROP DOWN TO THE FLOOR AND PUT YOUR HANDS UP, NOW!!!"

The officers, were all ready to open fire, they had heard from the downed policemen that two metahumans were fighting and they wanted to take no chances.

The other three seeing this guy was impervious to bullets, decided to use lethal force; aiming for his head, heart and pelvis. Shooting these areas on a normal human being was indeed a death warrant, but on this guy they couldn't be sure so they didn't hold back on the rounds as they unleashed a hell-storm of bullets onto the man. Meanwhile, Sage struggled to regain his composure. He had landed a top the woman police officer. He was also very worn and bruised, needing time to heal,rest...He noticed in the backseat of the car next to the ko'd uniform there was a canine unit. JaK staggering up to his feet opened the door of the car and let out the dog; who at first went to attack Sage but, after biting him realized JaK was metal and wasn't giving off a scent. Though, the other man they were shooting at had a strong scent. The German Shepard would then charge towards Dar, leaping at the tall figure with viciousness in it's snarl as it aimed for his jugular.

"That's right, sick em boy. While I try to make these stars go away."
