| Sometimes coming up with weaknesses for your character is harder than coming up with the powers. This thread is a place where we can brainstorm potential weaknesses that people can use. Anything strange, unusual, or uncommon is welcome here, but remember that these are combat weaknesses. Arrogance does not count.
If you like any of the weaknesses in this thread, please feel free to use them.
So let's get to it, starting with 6 unusual weaknesses.
1. Super Strength without Super Durability- Your power is essentially self-destructive. You can dish out tons of physical punishment, but it hurts you just as much. You can punch through a brick wall, but it will break your arm. Basically, you're a glass canon.
2. Super Speed without Super Endurance- Sure, you can run at 1000 miles per hour, but you can only do it for 2 seconds at a time because it's so strenuous. Then you have to sit down and take a break.
3. Achilles Heel- Doesn't need to be your heel, but your semi-invincible tank could have 1 part of his body that is vulnerable. A well-placed bullet, knife, or kick will do some serious harm to your hulking hero.
4. Unfriendly Summoning- You summon a giant monster, but it is no more your friend than your enemy is. It will attack everyone it can see, including you. The last resort attack might just get you killed instead of saving you.
5. Invisibility/Intangibility Holding Breath- It takes a lot of concentration to turn invisible or phase through solid matter. So much effort, in fact, that your hero has to hold their breath while they do so. This puts a definite time limit on your abilities. While you can avoid an attack or two, you can't keep it up forever. Once you're blue in the face, you'll need some time to recover.
6. Inanimate Object Telekinesis- Manipulating inanimate objects with your mind is easy, but living things? They move around too much, and have too many variables, for your mind to grasp. Because of this, you can't use telekinesis directly on living things (including yourself). Of course, you can still throw a bus at them. |

| IT BURNS US! IT BURNS!- Your character's supernatural/scientific attributes have very large flaws, even on the periodic table. Vampires get burned by silver, as well as plenty of other creatures. Perhaps this would be a great weakness, because not EVERYONE's carrying around a silver dagger. | |

| Motion Sickness - Fairy Tail fans know this one. The character is overcome by sickness and unable to move when carried by a vehicle.
The Tether - Character is limited in distance by a tether. Tether could be connected to their spawn-in point, which can variably alter, just not fast.
Virtue Intolerance - Acts of altruism or heroism within the vicinity cause this character a bitter taste, a woosey feeling, or active pain. They will be torn between stopping good and not witnessing it. | |

| Can You Hear Me Now?- The Character's power comes from them being able to manipulate certain electromagnetic waves. If they are in a place with little cell phone coverage, their powers will weaken. If they are in a place with no coverage, their powers disappear entirely.
Insanity, Fairness Edition- Character believes that he has to injure himself each time he harms his opponent, to keep it "fair."
Passive Empathy- Character feels all pain of people within 100 feet as though they were experiencing it themselves.
One at a Time- Character can only use one of their powers at a time. They must spend a second of focus to activate another power.
Water- Remember the witch from the Wizard of Oz? Same thing. Water acts like acid to the character's body.
Can't Swim- Someone throws you in a lake? Nice knowing you.
Crocodile Stalker- An immortal crocodile always seems to be right behind you. It all started when you fell off a boat and got your hand bitten off. Now it will never stop chasing you until it devours your entire body. The crocodile is slow on land, but shows up in surprising places at random, like your bedroom. Of course, this weakness can be used with any animal/monster/demon with a spoon.
Solar Powered- You only have your powers while you are in direct sunlight.
Night Owl- You only have your powers at night. |

| An addition to the Stalker. This would be a great limiter to the power of temporal stasis. When you choose to stop time for everyone else, the Stalker is able to move again. The Stalker only exists in the realm of stopped time, so no one else can help you defeat/escape it. Only restarting time will prevent your character from meeting a grisly end if the Stalker gets too close. | |

| Ignorant of Other Weaknesses- For some strange reason, your character thinks they are unaffected by something else that is a legitimate weakness for them. Maybe they think fire doesn't burn them...but it does. They will foolishly put themselves in harms way, only to put themselves in the hospital. Weeks later, they will make some insane rationalization for what happened that doesn't involve the actual weakness.
Hallucinations- Your character sees helpful things like allies during a fight, a bridge over a steep canyon, or a boat in a fast-moving river. They will enlist the help of these things. The only problem is, none of those things are actually there.
Boom- Your elemental/magical power is unstable, and sometimes explodes in your face.
Disorientated- Your character teleports, but then must spend a few seconds adjusting to their new surroundings, leaving them open.
Big Target- What's the downside of being super huge? No attack will ever miss you, ever. You can't dodge, you can't hide, you can't duck. You can just brace yourself and take it like a man. A giant man.

| Weeping Angel: When being looked at you can't move, better yet, reverse weeping angel, you can't move when not being looked at, only other people in the thread count as being looked at, not the random crowd. It's only when using your power, but it takes you minutes to turn it off.
Charge time: Only able to use your powers after some charging. Maybe dependent on word count, to make it less predictable.
Time limit: You can only use your power for so long before having to shut it down, it even shows, as time goes on, you look obviously worn.
Turtle reflexes: You can't dodge, minus the giant size.
Lightning reflex flinch: You have to try and dodge things, even if there doesn't seem to be a way. If someone punches while you're trying to hit them you must abandon your attack. You aren't always successful either, only about 50% so.

Limiter:"I can only use this power when-"
Drawback: "After I use this power I must."
True limiter: This one takes numbers! You recharge your energy at a certain rate, but not fast enough to use your powers continuously for a long time. This one works especially well for electromancers or similar power sets, especially magic users. you'd list out a few attacks, assign those attacks point values, set a max amount of points you can have and mark what your regen rate is. The character would be subject to further review though, making sure your max and regen is realistic. | |

| Elemental Aura- Your powers come from your aura, which is tied to an element. Therefore, your aura (and your powers) have an elemental weakness. Your fire aura can be drown by water. Your water aura can be frozen by ice. Your ice aura can be melted by fire. Ect.
What hurts one of us, hurts all of us- This is a weakness for the duplication power. When one of your copies gets injured, all copies (including the original) suffer the exact same injury.
Pressure Points- Your character might have super durability, but he or she is still weak in certain places, pressure points, just like everyone else. A good martial artist can still make you hurt. | |

| Name association- You think that all people with the same first name are the same person, and nobody can convince you otherwise.
Word triggers- You relive traumatic memories when a certain word is said.
