The Renegade and The Prodigy (Ama)

It was midnight on a freezing October night, the cold wind had taken it's toll on the squatters that lived in the abandoned houses and motels that Crash Alley was mostly comprised of. On the streets there were homeless people huddled around trash can fires. The screams and cries of people being mugged or killed weren't far off, this was a place that seemed to have no hope.

Kris ran across the roof tops of Crash Alley as the bitter cold of the October night bit at him, even though he had a coat over his hoodie. Two things were for sure, first being that the teenage assassin hated the cold, the second was that he would kill some more people if he gets stiffed again. He stopped on top of a building that was parallel to a known front to a drug smuggling operation. Kris' job was to take out the guy in charge, so he took out a sniper he 'borrowed' from the JCPD. He then got ready to wait for however long it took, looking through the scope to the building, waiting for the deader to come out of hiding.

Kris heard the girl and decided to ignore her, humming to himself. He was too fixated on the target, as she remarked on how the sniper was pretty but not her style, Kris took the shot, putting a bullet between that wretched man's eyes whom Kris had the displeasure of working for in the past. He always smelt like cheese. Kris would then proceed to throw the sniper over the edge of the building before turning to the girl. "Is there something you need?" Kris asked, seemingly uninterested, though this girl had something about her that seemed to cause him to not completely ignore her and leave.

Kris shrugged as he watched it fall, "It wasn't mine, and I wasn't about to return it." Kris looked over at the girl, a bit confused at her large smile. He would then scratch his neck and look her over as she admitted to not doing a job because she 'didn't feel like it.' He was about to respond when she skipped towards him, stopping uncomfortably close to him. "I'm called Zero." It was a name multiple assassins seemed to choose, though in Kris' case it was a name he was given. For what reason he had no idea, though it seemed fitting for some reason.

Kris took out a metal handle, a grin painted on his face, "We kill them all." Kris ran at a group of them and as he got close enough a pale blue 'light' protruded from the handle, forming a sword that took down 5 of them. After he was noticed by the other unwelcome visitors, Kris slipped into the shadows, taking them out one by one and leaving them petrified. They were once again children afraid of the dark.

Kris walked up to the poisoned man, a look of admiration on his face. He smiled as he kicked the body, "Crude, but effective." Kris then walked around, surveying the dead. He pulled up his sleeve, revealing a Guild tattoo. He then began covering it with a blood soaked bandage, a look of disgust as he had to see it, almost as though he were disgusted by the ink embedded into his skin.

Kris looked at her, scratching his head, "What?" He had no idea that she saw the tattoo, even less that she knew what it was. He looked around at the masses of the dead, "Do they ever learn? It's pretty stupid that they'd honestly throw their lives away over a man who already died." Kris looked over at Quinn, "I never got your name."

"As do many things. It's a part of my past I'd rather forget," Kris walked up to her, having a slight glide to his walk. He flashed her a toothy grin before handing her a slip with his name and number on it, assuming he could trust her, if not she'd be another statistic. "In case you ever need it, or want it," with that he winked and started to walk off.

Kris clenched his teeth, "Yes, kidnapped and turned into a killing machine, along with torture, abuse, no food, and my brother being subject to a horrible experiment." Kris sighed and walked to the edge of the roof, "So I ran, the Guild does not like runners, they tried to put me down. I'm too good for them, the best assassin they never talk about." Kris then turned back to Quinn, "There are things the Guild never talk about unless asked, ask your leader about Zero...." Kris then walked down the fire escape, whistling.
