1. As per usual, follow the board rules; take smexy stuff to PM or black out, dont excessively curse or use censors, etc.
2. It's a video game, thus you don't actually put away or make anything, bleed, or destroy anything. All that stuff just digitally appears or disintegrates. If you're struck in battle, pixels come off your body and you lose health, when you die you pixelate and explode. It's a cyber world like tron, that looks real!
3. You are allowed to gain 2 skills per new section. Right now we're on floors 1 - 20 and therefore you can give yourself more skills when we reach floors 20 - 45 and so on. You are also allowed to create 1 extra sword art skill per section.
4. You can switch up weapons/items and sword arts any time, but they have to remain in your original category. Example, you cans switch a knife for a kunai, but not a sword for a battle axe.
5. You have 25 health and each hit takes 5 health, sword arts take 10 health. This is applied to all players, but monsters take less to kill and bosses take far more. Monsters also have special attacks!
6. You can have 1 of everything! You can't have dual swords, more than one beast, more than one teleporting crystal...just ONE!
7. you must complete 3 quests to challenge the boss of the last level. Quests can consist of defeating other bosses and/or collecting rare items, exploring new places on different levels, etc. (make sure they're not 3-5 post quests or I will not permit you fighting the boss. Ask me first via PM.
8. Make sure your skills and items compliment your roleplaying; if you're really fast, you need sprint skill, if you're gonna block with your weapon a lot you need parry. If you're going to make potions or tame animals, etc. make sure you have that skill.
9. Make sure your char dresses like they're in a fantasy lore, IE; lord of the rings style attire or rural japan.
10. Sword Arts can be created with any weapon and are just your personal signature special moves.
11. You're approved when you make your app. Make sure you bold SAO somewhere in it, so that I know you read the rules or I might message you that you're denied.
12. You are not an expert hacker, nor are you able to hack anything in this game.
13. You buy, find, or make all the stuff in the game, but you can say your character already had stuff that you listed in your app as long as it's not enchanted or anything. You may also replace broken items or trade in old ones.
14. To fight each other you must agree to a dual, they aren't usually to the death. However, when not in a city or near a teleport gate, killing is fair game as are sneak attacks if you have the skill. Also, player killers can attack other players regardless.
15. Things are considered via rank for levels 1-20 things and users range between E-D rank. As we progress it will go to C-B, A-S. S is the highest, but higher ranking monsters/items can sometimes be found in lower levels, these are the enchanted/mystic items usually protected by a strong monster.
16. When you add a friend, you can tell where that person is at all times. Also, you can see someone's health and their name by staring at them and it will appear in a counter over their bodies. This applies for guilds as well.
17. When in a party/group, you can teleport directly to those members no matter where they are unless it's in a zone where teleporting doesn't work. Which is rare, but sometimes it occurs. Also, when fighting with a partner there is an ability called <> where you attack and they attack to keep your opponent guessing, this is good for battle posting.
18. SAO utilizes col as currency, which are points collected by completing missions and winning battles. Typically, the one who lands the final blow on a hard opponent or actually completes the task (unlocks door/grabs item) will reap more rewards than the other players. However, if in a party this is split evenly. However, a singular item goes to the one who grabs it or party leader.
19. You choose your level in threads. Since were doing multiple threads and liquid time, each time it's up to you to choose which level you're at. HOWEVER, make sure you don't go above the guidelined levels you should be in between for that section. Meaning, if you're in levels 25-45...You should be somewhere in that range. A good rule of thumb is to always be at a higher level than the floor you're on.
