So Jinx Walks Into A Bar...(Kardus & Open)

This was probably not the cleanest bar she'd ever been in, and she was pretty sure that was not ketchup on the corner of the bar. Still, she didn't feel particularly intimidated in her comfy corner. One leg was crossed over the other, and she wore the killer heels she was never seen without. Her pink hair was braided over a shoulder, and she was sipping a beer. She might have been under age, but this was one of those places that just looked the other way. It was smoky, and smelled like drunk guys with bad hygiene.

Still, Jinx enjoyed bars. It was always interesting to watch people, and judge if their lives were good, bad, or maybe just a little better than hers. She was a little depressed, though, today. Someone was supposed to meet her here today, and they'd completely bailed. What was it with her and bad luck? She almost snorted into her beer. She hadn't even meant it like that. Maybe she should start carrying around good luck charms.

Still, a girl by herself in a bar was not always a 'peaceful' alter ego to take, even if she could tell them exactly where to go. Someone insisted in approaching her this time, though, and she raised a long fingered hand, waving them away.

"Not a chance, buddy. Leave me alone, or I might have to cause some damage."

Suddenly a flash portal opens and a black figure with blue hair and dressed with a blue hoodie is flung from it. He hits one of the people at the bar, knocking them forward with a good, hard shove and falling on the floor himself. "Darn! That's still not working; but it's getting close." He looks up to see some people staring. "Oh, hello, sorry to burst in like this..."

Jinx blinked once, twice, at the scene that greeted her as she turned her head. The portal that had just appeared in the middle of a dive had not only caused commotion, but the person it subsequently spat out collided with a few of the unsavoury types, causing a lot of disgruntled, 'Watch it, buddy!' and the phrase was often accompanied by rather uncouth language. A few of the men looked a little like they wanted to start a fight. The blue haired youth had landed near Jinx's feet, and she prodded him with the toe of her left shoe.

"I'd get up, if I were you. These guys look like they want to kick your head in. I'm only telling you because your hair is almost as obnoxious as mine," she said, nonchalantly sipping her beer. "No time for pleasantries in a craphole like this," she added.

Ham walked into the bar rather begrudgingly. He'd been looking for somewhere to drink for hours, and this was the only place he seems to be able to find without a fight already going on. As luck would have it, however, it seemed as if one was about to begin. He wasn't wearing his suit, so he just decided to ignore it. Even with his attitude towards this whole thing, he still had an optimistic smile. Hey, maybe someone in this bar could actually go a few rounds with him!

Kardus slowly stood up and moved his eyes around the room; looking at, well, everything. As he stood looking at the crowd growing ever more angry, he couldn't help but smile. He wasn't exactly in his right mind at the moment; he didn't laugh, but he found the situation kind of funny (due entirely to a small drop of insanity and mental chaos.)

He turned his head grinning; he was not entirely unaware of the fact that he had made some people VERY angry, so a small part of him tried to be careful (like THAT was gonna work...). He spoke still grinning, "WELL! Um... You all look like a friendly bunch." He leans over and whispers to the pink haired girl; rather loudly and intentionally over-emphasized, "Why do they not look like a friendly bunch?"

Jinx stood slowly, not liking the growing crowd. Then, she smiled once more at the blue-haired guy. "I think, buddy, it's because they're not really. Now, if you'll excuse me..." she said, trying to make a swift exit. However, the crowd was so packed that that was pretty impossible. That's when everything went crazy.

She wasn't entirely sure what happened, but the entire crowd erupted; she even had to throw a couple bad-luck bolts at civilians. However, she didn't see the huge meaty guy next to her, and he toppled into her, sending her stumbling sideways...and into a newly-entered Ham. "Sorry, man," she said, standing again and watching the blue haired guy. "Damn it, this is getting crazy," she stated, trying to gauge whether or not she should cause any trouble.

Ham chuckled, and grinned, catching her when she stumbled into her. "No trouble at all. how about I crack his jaw for ya?" He asked. He jumped up high, and kicked the man in the jaw four times, before he could react. "He's a big one, that was a little hard." He looked back to Jinx with a smile. "Looks like we're gonna have to fight our way outta here."

One of the members of the crowd suddenly grabbed Kardus and threw him against the wall, holding him there; "I say...what are you do-" His words where interrupted by a sudden punch in the face. A bit of his face tuned to sand and fell off. It quickly re-formed as he asked; "Now what was that-" he was again interrupted by a punch in the face; his face reformed part way again. "Now what was-" *punch* "Now what-" *punch* The next time Kardus didn't wait to be punched again. As the man pining him to the wall drew back his fist again, Kardus's eyes glowed and he held back his fist with a bit of telekinesis. He took a moment to reform his face before saying, "Screw it...you asked for this." He opened his mouth, the inside glowing cyan, and out of it released a force shock wave that would send the man, and the others gathering around him, flying backwards.

Jinx rolled her eyes. "My hero," she replied sarcastically to the newcomer. Then, she watched the spectacle unfold, until suddenly a blast enveloped the blue-haired guy's vicinity. She automatically held up an arm to shield herself, but the following chaos was enough to know she was going to have to cause a little bit of damage.

She swept a hand in front of her, a wave of pink knocking men to the floor. A quick pink glow of her eyes sent a billiard ball, being struck by an absent minded bar patron, skyrocketing towards another of the angry men. A quick elbow to another man's face, and she was beginning to clear the way for herself. She was beginning to think the blue-haired guy didn't need a lot of help. Then again, things shifted quickly in this city.

Ham smiles wide, putting his hands in his pockets and walking past her. "Hey, just doing my good deed for the day. I'd hate to see him just walk away without some kinda damage, and how was I to know you could hold your own, friend?"

He jumped back in the air, landing kick after kick onto his opponents, not touching the ground even once until all that remained standing... weren't.

Rose was at the far end if the bar with her head to the bar and a beer in her right hand, asleep. The bright lights and fight breaking out suddenly woke her up. Stretching, the Rebirth member looked across the bar to see her teammate, Jinx. Wait, Jinx goes here? Since when?! This was like...her bar. That sucks.

Noticing she was in a predicament, Rose took the liberty of stepping up on a guy that was about to attack her from behind and kicked him in the neck, grabbing the beer he was holding as it fell back to the ground. "Issue pinkie pie?" She chuckled, drinking the rest and then smashing the bottle over another guy's head.

Sitting alone in one of the corners of the bar, a young male with black hair and red eyes watched the brawls beginnings with a detached interest. Exactly what he was looking for was hard to say, but after a little while he removed something that looked very much like the kind of dart gun used by zoo keepers to bring down wild animals from his suit pocket. Aiming it towards the crowd, he waited for almost a whole minute before finally taking the shot.

A dart with enough drugs packed into it to knock out a full grown stallion within fifteen seconds slammed into the back of the neck of a man who seemed to have already partaken a little to much of the local brew already, the knife in his hand that he had intended to impale into what his drunken mind believed to be the unwary back of an under aged girl with pink hair who had been flinging pink light around falling to the ground with a surprisingly loud clatter before his eyes rolled into the back of his head and he followed it to the ground.

Putting the dart gun back where it belonged, Senshuken waited until Jinx turned around to find out what happened before offering her a warm smile and a beckoning wave to invite her over his currently peaceful part of the bar.

Kardus looked around; by this time most of the people starting the riot were on the ground, though some were getting up and still had some fight let in them. One of them got up with an empty beer bottle and swung it at Kardus's head. For whatever random reason, he allowed it smack into his head without making any effort to block it other than lowering his head so that it hit the top of in rather than his face. It broke against his skull, breaking not only the bottle but also leaving cracks in his head, which had partly turned to ice from the impact. He looked up, "Well that didn't do anything..." He watched as the man suddenly flew up and smashed into the ceiling before coming back down to the ground with a crash. Kardus did this via telekinesis, but way he looked at the man fly up and then back down looked like he was just watching. The cracked ice on his head re-formed back to his normal form.

Jinx shrugged. "I feel like you get by on that hero act a lot, don't you?" she asked after Ham, ducking a beer bottle. Everyone was rowdy. She was disgruntled. It just took one stupid portal to ruin her evening.

It was then she turned to see Rose. She rolled her eyes, her pink eyes glowing as another man's beer shattered in his hand, confusing him momentarily. "Well. I was pretty sure you were following me. Just didn't think you were also into the big, macho, hero gig," she said, sarcastically. "I think you have beer in your hair," she replied, frowning as she noticed the guy sitting in the corner over Rose's shoulder. She focused for a little too long.

She squinted her eyes. "Sen?" she called, unsure. He just seemed to have disappeared off the face of the Earth for a while. Then, she heard more commotion behind her. There seemed to be a human yo-yo in the air, and there was a sickening crunch as he hit the ground. The place went silent, and she was beginning to feel like there was going to be permanent damage to that guy. She stayed stationary, half turned. Well, crap.

Ham chuckles. "Close. Special Military branch. Pays the bill easy enough." Ham pulled out a black bar, then knocked someone in the head with it. He put it back into his pocket, and noticed someone pull out a taser and tried to harm him. He let it happen with a smile, and turned to the man. "Ooh... you choose the single person in the bar that wouldn't be hurt by that... you should feel bad." He took the taser from the man's hand, and threw it over his shoulder. The guy ran before Ham could return the favor.
