| Continued from https://ttrpg.forumotion.com/t3243-a-fallen-knight-titansThe cemetery was dark and foreboding as the Titans arrived. However it was not deserted. There was no light save that which he Titans provided, and the shadows seemed to claw at them as they began searching for the whereabouts of their fellow Titan. It didn't take long before they came across something that didn't belong there: A small girl sat in a chair. She looked no older than ten, and her hair was stark white, as were her eyes. She wore a Victorianesque dress, and she stared blankly forward, unmoving, unresponsive to their questions, to their words. She exuded an air of dread, as if something was very wrong. Before her knelt a man. His black hair was ragged ad unkept, his jeans were torn and bloodstained, and the shredded remains of his shirt clung to his bloody flesh. His arms hung limp by his sides, and three weapons lay on the ground before him: A battle scarred Famas, a Glock, and a wickedly serrated combat knife. When the Titans looked at him from the side, they could see manic eyes locked with the girl's. They were hazel and as intelligent as they were cunning, and they were set above an eerily wide grin. For some reason touching either seemed like a VERY bad idea, but no one could explain why: It was a feeling as instinctive as the dread hanging over the scene. Almost like an afterthought, a shipping container stood on it's end behind the girl, like an ominous obelisk of corrugated metal. " Five little Indian boys going in for law, One got in Chancery and then there were four. Four little Indian boys going out to sea; A red herring swallowed one and then there were three. Three little Indian boys walking in the Zoo; A big bear hugged one and then there were two. Two little Indian boys sitting in the sun; On got frizzled up and then there was one. One little Indian boy left all alone; He went and hanged himself and then there were none." The singsong voice seemed to come from everywhere at once, and yet nowhere at the same time. It twisted upon it's self, flitting from place to place, dripping with hatred. One moment it was off to the left, then it was above them, the next it had to be coming from the right. Surely it was behind them? It seemed that the moment anyone felt sure of where it was coming from, it would change, emanating from somewhere else, mocking them. " Oh little Indians, now you have come. How long little Indians, until you are none?" The sound of blades scraping metal shrieked from the batmobile, but in the time it took for everyone to turn towards the sound, only four long parallel gashes were in the hood, like ugly wounds in the metal... Wounds that matched the back of Zack's jacket... | |

| Terry looked around, finding the area a bit dark. He wasn't shining any lights, instead using the nightvision inside his lenses. After a few minutes, they came upon the girl and the man. Terry didn't see anything familiar about the girl, but looked at the man. He moved to get a better look at his face, and then the weapons lying before him.
Zack Wylder. We're the Teen Titans. Terry decided to trust his instincts and not touch Zack, for now. We're here to help you. We found your jacket inside the tower, and we think Bishop's involved.
Terry sensed a presence, but as soon as he turned to find it, it wasn't there. He kept doing so for a few seconds as the poem was chanted, and then turned to the Batmobile as metal shrieks came from it, noticing four gashes in it. His eyes widened.
Impossible...he found it in stealth mode?!
Referring to the poem, the voice asked how long they would last. Terry gritted his teeth, angry over the Batmobile. It was high-level tech even in the future, and now he didn't know how he would repair it. He spoke quietly to himself.
Beyond to Aeon. Sending voice sample to you. Run it for match with Bishop, if you have any audio of him.
He then raised his voice.
You just wrecked my ride, so I think it's about time you showed yourself!

| "Allow me Beyond." Hotwire said riding his cycle in. A mist would pour from the front and cover the ground.
As hotwire hopped off, he looked around.
"Don't move. This mist will be disturbed if anyone moves. So as long as you and I don't do anything, he's the only one whose presence we'll notice. Then we have him." He whispered through his headset.

| Bow was on the other side of town when the alarm for the tower went off. She hurried as quick as she thought necessary, but by the time she got there, everyone was already gone. She glanced at her communicator, seeing that they had only left moments before, she zoomed after them.
As she approached them, she heard the chanting from every corner of her mind. She saw the little girl and the man laying on the ground in front of her. She had no idea what was going on, but as soon as she landed she heard the screech of scratching metal and turned to see the batmobile with long deep gashes in it. Even more confusion stretched across her face as Hotwire spoke, whom she didn't exactly recognize, though she thought she'd seen him around the tower a couple times. He said to be still, so she didn't question it (as if she had time to) and just stood there motionless as the mist began to cover the area.

| (Welp, I was initially waiting for others to join - this was supposed to be a fight to show what L.A.W. is capable of, a fight that the Titans are either barely able to win, or are forced to pull out of with Zack in tow... I guess now it's almost guaranteed to be the latter unless more people join. In any case, I kinda got bogged down with other stuff while waiting, but it would be nice to be able to bring Zack back now that I should have more time to rp.)
"Confirmed match, Mr. McGinnis. However the child is unknown. The files Mister Wylder provided for the Titans database were never uploaded." Avon's voice chirped inside Terry's mask. Meanwhile, Hotwire let out a cloud of mist. While it drastically reduced anyone's night vision and would only reflect back any lights, it did help reveal where Nighthawk was. However the information gained didn't help them keep much better track of him. Lines rapidly appeared in the mist, flitting around as rapidly as his voice. Each line appeared faster than the eye could track, to the point where no one was even one hundred percent sure what side of the line the Bishop was on - the mist swirled too much to really tell. The Bishop's voice echoed out again, an edge of irritation behind it.
"Naughty, naughty, little Indians, you'll spoil all the fun. No matter, you see for you've come to me and there's nowhere to hide or to run." Nighthawk scowled as he watched the Titans. How disappointing. Did they not care for their companion? He'd hoped for more. After all, their orders required a successful test of the Knight's abilities. But no matter, this would have to do. After all, if it worked, then his superiors would have the whole country to test their Knight on. In any case, he continued to taunt the Titans: as much as he wanted to attack, that wasn't why he was here.
