You Might Die This Time... (Dar, CM, HIVE Students)

Tex inhaled and exhaled deeply, walking readily into the HIVE's version of a danger room. She'd been there about a day and had mostly spent it to recharge. Jemmy made it quite clear she was expecting the best from Tex, so she may as well go with it until she got the rest of the AI. Fixing up her helmet, her visor lit up the area around her, revealing that...the HIVE was a big fan of hexagons and bee hive-like scenery. That was literally all that the gym was made up of. That's pretty stupid.

Looking down at the corner, they gave the students a choice of weapons. Made sense, probably for lessons with them. Tex walked over and grabbed two pistols, likely to be .357s and holstered them in the built in area by her thighs. Next for a main weapon, she grabbed two combat knives, also holstering them in slots built into her armor, these ones over her chest. Finally, she pressed a button on her wrist to bring up her motion trackers, and thus her AI, Theta and Omega. "Alright sunshine, today's the day." Omega echoed in her head, snickering.

Tex gave a nod to show she was listening. "Yeah Omega, I read you. Theta? You there?" The little indigo hologram popped up and stretched, giving her a thumbs up. "I wanted to sleep a little longer but...yeah, I guess so."

((LW can't hear Omega or Theta ATM, CM. They're in tactical mode, which means only Tex hears them.))

Tex looked across at her opponent for the first time, swiping a couple of flashbangs from the table as it sank downward into the ground to allow the match to begin. "Don't make this a waste of my time." She muttered, preparing herself for combat.

OT: Misread, thought that was Tex saying that.

Understanding the armored girl's words, Christal finds herself to become immediately blinded and deafened by the three stun grenades dropped to the floor by Tex. Getting her move on the fight now, Christal runs in the room in order to shake the effects of the flash off faster and stops behind Tex in time to backflip over Tex, grabbing her by the back of her helmet and pulling her forward to the floor.

New girl, this will be far from a waste. Unless you're talking about what you'll be after this fight.

Jemmy watched from the observation room in an oversized chair. She smiled as the fight began. It appeared to Jemmy that Tex was relying on her weaponry a little too much. After all, she had chosen a small arsenal for her weapon of choice. Weapons certainly had their place, but would they be enough to match Christal in a fight?

Christal's amazing speed allowed her to shake off Tex's flash grenades. The girl had spent enough time in this training room to know where the walls were, even when blinded. Jemmy had watched Christal run straight into the wall dozens of times at full speed. Now it seemed that those painful lessons had sunk in.

Christal was now trying to grapple Tex's head and slam the newcomer into the ground. Jemmy waited to see if Tex would be able to counter it. Sheer strength alone didn't matter when you had someone swinging from your head.

Tex sighed and pressed a button on her gauntlet, causing her helmet to fly off instead, revealing her long red hair. This also signalled to Theta to start the boot up for the shield. Already angry, Omega took the window of opportunity to send Tex into the Theta State. Pulling out her Grapple Gun, Tex shot it around Christals waist and yanked with all her might, the dome shield launching as a crude brick wall while TeX prepared a knife for one of her Theta State onslaughts.

Now things were getting interesting. Tex removed her helmet to avoid taking a hit. It would make her more vulnerable in the future, but it had certainly saved her a head ache. Christal cut Tex's grapple line and was now using it to give her chakram extra range. Would it actually be more effective? Jemmy didn't care. It was exciting to watch.

Both fighters were proving to be very resourceful. In reality, Jemmy didn't care who won this fight. Both of the fighters were very skilled, and they were both hers. Together with Hydra, Pix, and her other champions, these two would soon be the leaders of an army that would tear Jump City to shreds.

Tex stopped and put her knife away, after a moment, she smiled and got into a stance similar to a runner preparing for a sprint. After a couple moments of waiting, she broke off in a sprint at Christal. The second she saw any movement from the whip toward her, Theta would deploy the shield in a compressed area around Tex. If the whip didn't move, Tex would be ready to stab her in the ribs with her combat knife.

Halfway through the fall, Tex forced her legs apart, using her augmented strength to EASILY snap the cable and roll through the fall. Hoping to catch Christal off guard, Tex took a stab at the back of her knee, ready to cause as much damage as she could but twisting and ripping with the blade.

Bump

Tex seemed to be keeping up with Christal. Beginners luck, perhaps? With Christal's amazing speed, she would soon be able to catch the armored newcomer unprepared. It seemed like that would be sooner, rather than later. Tex was trying to attack the speedstress with a knife. Jemmy laughed. Christal could bite Tex's hand before the attack struck if she wanted.

Jemmy had been helping with Christal's training for the last two years. Mostly, she had been responsible for the brainwashing aspect. Christal wasn't going to just let some tough girl beat her down. Jemmy's toy would fight with everything she had until her enemy was defeated.

Jemmy smiled. They were both her toys now.

Tex growled and reactivated the bubble shield around her, Theta appearing on her shoulder. This chick was fast. Even without most of her memories, Tex knew she HATED fighting speedsters. And she could remember one technique that usually did the job. "Theta, Overload code 0D86Merc." Theta nodded ecstatically and started mashing buttons on a control screen that appeared in front of him. "You remember!" He squeaked as the bubble shield expanded and contracted at an alarming pace until it shot outward in ever direction, barely any space between the yellow spikes it was creating, all the way to the edge of the room. Tex would walk toward Crystal slowly once they had all jammed into the wall, Theta quietly sparking on her shoulder.
