I won't be posting this entire thing, mostly because it's 5:10 AM and also because, as with all of my other plot ideas, I like opinions first before giving away the juicy details.
I was sitting in chat today with foalfire, considering making Kalina Ann a Nighthawk. I had never delved into them too much before, so my general assumption (You know what they say about assuming) was that they were heroes that didn't have problems with hospitalizing or killing threats to the city. What can I say? I liked the dark sense of morality it brought along with the name. This was when she informed me the Nighthawks were something different.
It only turned out to be more delicious than I had originally anticipated.
It has come to my attention from many other players that with TJ walking out of the door, I have been drawn into the group of the site's most important villains. Or, I should say Kyte has. And for those of you who have been paying attention, I have been planning on injecting Kyte back into the grand scheme of things. Since this is an expectation I do not want to fail, I'll be stepping up my game.
With all of the elaborate foreplay done with, I give you the idea that my dark mind came up with, and was surprised not to see exploited already.
Foalfire's explanation to me of the Nighthawks was as such: A group that is actually aiming to be better than the Titans, for they think the Titans are too brutal, and without restraint.
Why this never occurred to anyone before is beyond me, but let's all put these imaginative minds of ours to work for a moment. Suppose that the Titans were to take a man, and were tasked with escorting him safely across the country. The man would be a renowned for his numerous war crimes. Now, let's also pretend the Nighthawks were to get a tip about this, and, naturally, would be concerned for the man's well being, since their opinion of the Titans is harsh.
To finally snap this strenuous bond between them, let's say the man they were escorting suddenly ended up dying, and it would look like one of the Titans (Or all present!) were responsible.
Please tell me if this doesn't sound absolutely delicious.
