Ixora (looking for approval by a mod)

Let me make sure it's understood this is not a character application but a Race application.

Classification - Created or Evolved?
They are a race that has evolved for millennia. They were a race of insects that gained intelligence similar to a human, they began tampering with their D.N.A. then. As a result the progeny down the line are highly unstable in form evolving every few months with new evolutions that don’t necessarily tie into their old abilities. The only thing that was left alone was the races strength.

General Overview
Each member of the race goes through metamorphosis separate from the others, they aren’t even tied to the same paths. The process is tied to what they meet and fight. The strength of the creature is directly tied to its weight with no variance. It’s shell is the only limitation, they are able to lift many times their own weight but their body can only support up to 20 times their weight, or they are crushed completely and will die.

Personality Traits
They are a violent race but short of that they are as diverse as humans.

Physical Description
Individuals all look completely different in shape and size regardless of age. The smarter one is however the larger it’s brain is. The ones with the largest brains have shown mental abilities of very diverse nature. The race is androgynous.

Clans / Tribes
They work in hives each ruled over by the originator of the family. When the leader is killed it forms as many tribes as the last leader had children. A tribe of 100,000 has its leader killed. The tribe is now split into 100 1,000 strong tribes that find a territory and are now in conflict.

Relations
They view all other life as competition and seek to eradicate it and gain its evolutionary traits to become stronger.

History
The age of dinosaur size creatures didn’t end on their world but they were the ants. They worked hard for longer than history has been written. Slowly they became intelligent growing more and more advanced as the humans did. They kept to the underground and fought among themselves, taking what they needed from the surface for food only. Their advancement went unnoticed by the universe as a scan wouldn’t show their subterranean world. At this point in history they were still the size of ants on earth.
Fast forward 8,000 years:
The Ixora as they called themselves now had grown more advanced than humans and began tampering with their DNA as still others worked on getting into space. The ships they built were massive and took centuries. The creatures of the surface were hunted by the neo-Ixora large creatures that were as deadly in combat as they were intelligent. The neo-Ixora were all that was left in 8 years the Ixora having been wiped out by age. Not before showing their new kin how to live in their glory.
The Ixora as they now called themselves began expanding and were quickly noticed as they left their planet and began wiping others out. Their home world was destroyed along with all their ships and worlds they were on.
Current day:
Only one of the race survived, he was in cryo sleep and his pod was torn from the ship during it’s explosion. No life was detected so it was ignored, for eons it drifted across the cold black of space. The race was forgotten completely a dark year in the events of eternity. The pod crashed to earth and one Ixora emerged…

Alignment
The Ixora were good looking only to survive a harsh world. The Neo-Ixora weren’t evil they were only doing what the Ixora programmed them too. The survivor was an infant and has no sense of past. He is influenced easily but is close to maturing and will lose his mutable mind.


Religion
The Ixora had a pantheon similar to all ancient cultures. The Ixora after evolving forgot religion and focused on themselves.

Languages
It is a series of clicks chirps and whistles that a human is incapable of replicating. The language survived since it is in their blood so to say.

Common First Names
They are named by their parent for figures of power they have met in the past.

Race Speed / Physical Strengths
They are capable of lifting 20 times their body weight.
Capable of surviving in any environment save vacuum.
By consuming prey they are able to gain strengths and weaknesses that may or may not appear in future generations.

Magic Ability and Powers
Only the super intelligent gain what could be considered magic. To gain that level they have to dedicate themselves to study or consuming only intelligent creatures. The super intelligent are said to absorb the mind rather than eat it, making the memories and personality of the original owner a voice in their head.

Famous Characters
Tiberius is the only current member of the race.
