Return to the Tower (Titans only)

Hotwire looked at the words before him.

"We can't make a sentence... no verb. It's obvious this person wants to always do something to the titans... but what?"

Ray shrugged. "This person is a criminal, not a language arts teacher." Ray countered observing the rocks carefully. It had to be a short and simple clue, but to what? Then it clicked. "I got it!" Ray arranged the rocks until it said "I'm always watching you Teen Titans, all of you." Ray smirked at this. "I'm sorry there's not proper punctuation for you to read this correctly." Ray mocked Hotwire laughing afterwards.

"Oh. Haha." He said with a deadpanned expression.

"So where to go from here?"

Ray chuckled. "You're the smart one!" Ray laughed picking up the rocks gently. "If you insist." Ray added. "We should have Aeon scan the rocks for DNA, it may track us to our kid napper." Ray said, feeling very smart at the moment.

In his mind, a chibi hotwire would run up to the light bulb appearing above her head, and poked it with a needle, causing it to pop comically like a balloon before they went back to reality.

"It's a rock... a dna test would result in countless bacteria that would skew the results."

He looked at them.

"But the red writing may a compound that's more easily traced. And if it really makes you happy, I guess I can get aeon to run a DNA testing in addition to a chem analysis of the writing."

Ray frowned. "So he's a smart kidnapper?" Ray questioned to no one. "This must lead to something!" Ray yelled as she took off in flight back towards the tower, not bothering to look at Hotwire to see if he would follow her in hot pursuit.

"Always in a rush..." His pack fired up and he shot off in after ray, carrying the rocks in the storage compartment of the pack.

Ray was in the Tower quite fast considering she was injured. She sat the the man ops room waiting for Hotwire to arrive with the rock samples, she should have brought them with her. "So if this leads to the kid napper, do we bring Ben?" Ray though aloud, waiting for Hotwire to arrive.

Hotwire landed as ray asked the question.

"Well I think ben has an alien in the omnitrix that can get him to us quickly... so I'd say we should wait until we see where the lead takes us."

Ray ran over to Hotwire. "Where are the rocks!" Ray demanded, she suddenly really wanted to know what happened to her, and if these rocks were the key, she wanted them now!

Hotwire opened the compartment on his bag.

"Aeon! We need these scanned!

" Rocks? You have got to be kidding me? Am I being punked?"

Ray groaned. "No Aeon. Scan every inch on that rock!" Ray demanded, lighting up her tone, then sitting down on the floor, criss cross. She couldn't believe she might catch the person who kept her for a year and blinded her.

Aeon scanned the writing. "Okay... I'll give it to you. This made sense to scan."

"What is it?"

"It's fremesium. A dye that's rarely used these days. Mostly by a certain tribe of Asian assassins called The Hilihili. And imagine our luck. The titans database has a member of this assassin ring registered as stationed somewhere in jump."

Ray stood up, rather slowly this time. "Alright then, who is Hotwire, don't keep me in suspense." Ray added walking towards the ginger, at a normal pace.

Hotwire read the name off the monitor. Some guy known only as Komodo." He said.

"Not a lot on him... but he seems to be some sort of mercenary."
