Assistant Needed (SuperSquirrel then Open)

Nina sat in her store calmly, a chocolate pocky in her mouth as she watched one of the latest animes on a small swing-out TV behind the counter, she was waiting for something, she had decided that she needed help running the store, and although Kyte helped out whenever he could, he had his own job, Rico helped out too but she had school and wasn't able to lift big boxes of manga, so Nina had put out an advertisement for an assistant around the city, it was reasonable pay so she hoped that at least someone would come along, all she needed to do now was wait.

Izzy walked down the huge street of Jump at least 25 times looking for this obscure manga shop that she'd found an ad for a job there. While she WAS charm-talking the guy who owned the place into letting her have a house, it was nice to have money to fall back on in case it suddenly didn't work on him.

Finally doubling back, she found a small shop which had the same name as the one for the ad. Unless someone was a serious ripoff artist, this was obviously the place. Walking in, the door rang a little bell and she saw a girl behind the counter watching an anime. "Yeah, hi...I'm here for a job?" She said, holding up the little ad she'd taken down to bring with her. At least it's a girl, maybe mom's spell wont do much to her...

Nina turned around when the bell rang, she suddenly smiled and stood up "ah welcome! Sure sure! Come in come in!" she said, inviting Izzy up to the counter "okay, so can you lift a heavy box?" she asked.

Izzy blinked wildly and she was brought to the counter. "A-A box? Well...I can bench press 180 lbs. Does that work?" At least her stupid magic aura didn't seem to work on this chick.

"PERFECT! Okay you have the job!" said Nina with a grin "uhh you want a tour of the store then?" she asked happily.

Izzy shrugged. "That was really, really easy. And sure, I don't see why not." She stepped away from the little opening in the desk and gestured toward the aisles of manga. "After you!"

Nina nodded "okay well the manga is all organized from A to Z then the anime is the same, the comic books too, then the snacks and drinks are all in this fridge" she said before she lead Izzy behind the counter and into the staff area "okay so this is the kitchen, feel free to bring your own milk and stuff if you don't like this type, mainly used for making lunch, teas. coffees and such, then there's the game room, we have all kinds of video games that you could ever dream of, think of this as kind of a break room, then of course there's the bathrooms and the storage room, then the upstairs is where I live so the door is usually locked anyway" she explained with a smile "so any questions?" she asked.

"I guess not..." Izzy said, walking back out and through the aisles of manga. "Wow, lots of stuff..." She said, stopping in a random aisle and opening a book. Hentai. Izzy screamed and tossed the book back onto the shelf, shuffling out of the 18+ section. "Yeah, definitely never going there again. Ever."

Nina looked surprised "oh sorry some idiot must have left it there" she said before she picked up the Hentai and put it in a locked cupboard behind the counter "people usually have to ask over the counter for that stuff, prevents innocent eyes looking at it" she explained with a chuckle.

Well that sure didn't work. Looking around the store, Izzy picked up another manga novel and started flipping through it. Good, this one wasn't porn. "Sooooooooooooooo..." She said, smiling. "Do I get a raise yet?"

Nina chuckles "how about we give it at least a day before we consider giving you a raise" she said as she sat back in her chair "for now you can chill out and rest" she said happily.

Izzy groaned and sat on the counter near Nina. "But that's so frickin boring! What do you do for fun around here?"

"Play video games, read comics and manga, watch anime, and chit-chat with customers, it depends on the time of day, for now its usually quiet until about 3 or 4pm" explained Nina with a shrug.

Izzy groaned again, laying down. "But that's so long from now!" She complained, before suddenly sitting up with a gleam in her eye, barely visible behind her sunglasses. "You wanna go get a car before the customers show up?"

"...But I can't drive...and why would we need a car anyway?" asked Nina confused as she laid back in her chair and relaxed "just chill for now, take it easy and enjoy the moments of peace" she said lazily.
