The Dead Rise- Dar (Open)

Sissel walked through the mind of the person.

"No one here. No vortex either. I'm not in the land of the dead... No soul of the departed. It's like he's not even here." He re-entered the land of the living.

'I wonder...' Sissel thought.

He attempted a manipulation... on the corpse. Make it fall to the ground, something to stop it in it's tracks. He hoped it would work.

Dar was about to punish Gianni for insulting his attack, but he heard what Superboy said. So then, his true opponent was entering the fight! This was the hero that Dar had sought for years, but had never found. Killing the Kryptonian would be the ultimate accomplishment.

But Dar would need to stay in one piece to do that. Superboy moved fast and landed a punch to Dar's cheek. The force of the attack was immense, and Dar felt his jaw snap a fraction of a second before he was sent flying like a ragdoll. A few hundred feet later, Dar hit a large oak tree, shattering it with the impact of his body. Landing on the ground in a self-made crater, Dar was surprised to still be able to move. He felt no pain, and his body hadn't given out from even an that brutal.

Reaching up to his chin, Dar set his jaw back in place. It wasn't healed, but it was still working perfectly.

Emerging from his crater, Dar threw both his fists in the air and loosed a battle cry. He then looked at Superboy and whispered, "You cannot kill the dead."

Dar ran back over to his opponents, picking up a stray rock on the way and throwing it at Gianni's chest.

Sissel would find his attempts to manipulate Dar unproductive. The corpse seemed to already be moving by the command of some other, much more powerful, force.

"You invade what is mine."



The Anti-Nexus was present in Dar's body. Granted, it was only a fraction of the larger being, but it was still powerful.

"You are dead, but you fight against my cause? Do you not see that all mortal things must die? Join me, Sissel. Help me kill the living."

Dar looked up at the huge chunk of rock and dirt that Superboy was holding above him. His eyes opened wide before he was buried beneath it. Unable to move for a few seconds, Dar roared and pushed the dirt out of his way. He dug back to the surface. Unfortunately, it had taken too long. Superboy was probably ready to hit him with another attack.
