The land Of Pet Stop

In this pet store you can find any pet you want, from snakes and lizards, to ice and ferrets. We even carry some exotic pets such as hedgehogs and small monkeys! License is required to purchase crocodiles and Fox kits. We even sell hat you will need for your new family member! Toys, collars and kennels! Please allow our helpful staff to assist you in finding the perfect pet for you!

Ok, now that that is out of the way, the story of what this is, Here you can role play as the animals kept in a petstore, any pet is allowed, though if you want to play as an exotic species, you should probably ask first since I don't think you can be a hippo or mini elephant in this shop. Also you can't roleplay as a human, they are NPC's and according to the animals they are almost like gad-like beings, except according to the cats, they think they are servants. This shop looks like any other, but the animals are very good at getting out of their cages and tanks at night to roam the shop and meet up with each other. Their are rules that the creatures of the store have agreed upon.


These rules have been created to ensure that the humans would never be the wiser of the animals nightly adventures.

So this is where you can sign up for the role play, if it gets enough interest I will add the actual role play thread.

Animal's Name: Luxi

Animal's Species: Black Cat

Personality: Curious, sly and at times sarcastic, but she is also friendly and helpful to those who need her help, she is also quite lazy at times and enjoys curling up on her dark blue velvet pillow, she also enjoys fresh fish fillets and isn't that keen on the general manufactured cat food, she also loves fresh milk and cream and the general life of luxury but she isn't a spoilt cat, she also enjoys watching humans and interacting with other animals but takes offence when others claim that she is spoilt because of her past.

Any special needs/markings/abilities?: No markings, loves fish fillets, loves cream and milk and hates being dressed up with ribbons, bows, etc. She is able to open doors by jumping up and pulling down the door handle and can sleep just about anywhere as well as the usual cat agility.

Back story: Luxi use to live in a posh house with a wealthy young lady, Luxi was a very pampered cat and loved her life of luxury, but once the lady was married off to an even wealthier man, that's when her luxury ended, the lady became too busy with the man to pay any attention to her and so became gradually ignored, once a baby came along the lady was forced to give Luxi to the pet shop, as Luxi understood why this happened she doesn't hold a grudge against anyone, although when she thinks about it, it makes her quite sad and a little depressed, she still misses the lady and sometimes has dreams and nightmares about the lady and the husband.

YEAH! Some one liked the idea! *throws confetti and has a mini party* woo hoo! lol, any way, I have also decided that you may have three characters, and any one who is inactive will be "sold" that way we can keep people going and not wait on some one to post who isn't going to return, and if that person does return they can A) say they were returned to the petshop or B) fill out a new pet application. ^.^ sounds fair right? Good.

Anyway, Emmi, thank you so much for putting in a character, your kitty is approved for the thread and can start playing as soon as I get the thread up. Which will go up as soon as five people/characters are approved.

Animal's Name: Gomez

Animal's Species: Gecko

Personality: Gomez is very comfortable around the animals that he already knows and can try to be intimidating to other animals if one is larger than him and is being mean or rude, but, because of his very small size, it's usually not very effective. During the day, when humans are around, he will usually try to hide. He doesn't want to get chosen. He has lived in the pet shop all his life, he knows how everything works and has friends, he doesn't want to throw all of that away.

Any special needs/markings/abilities?: As a gecko, Gomez has a certain adhesion ability. His feet can grab onto almost any surface, allowing him to walk on walls, ceiling, windows, etc. He is also very small for a pet and can get into small places like vents, under doorways and can easily find a way out of his terrarium. He does have a few white speckles on his head and face.

Back story: Son of two true blue Geckos, Bernie and Gerty (Gertrude), Gomez was born and raised in the Pet Store! When he was extremely young, his father, Bernie, died from old age and his mother, Gertrude, was adopted by a college student. Gomez, therefore, basically raised himself and got to know how to live in the pet shop and live among the other animals comfortably. He's still pretty young so, he doesn't know everyone, but, he doesn't want to give up his life for anything. If he was 'chosen' he would FREAK OUT!

Animal's Name: Mark Calaway (Formally Undertaker)

Animal's Species: Raven

Personality: Mark is a rather quiet creature, rarely leaving his cage to mingle with other creatures. Due to an act of self defense against long time hated enemy Kane the neighbor cat that resulted in a brief but epic battle of survival that greatly crippled both combatants, Mark has a naturally deep distrust if not outright hatred for cats. While his return to the Pet Shop after getting patched up at the vet has allowed him the chance to relax after such an event, it's quite clear that Mark is suffering from depression after his injury and the way his human family seemingly abandoned him in his time of need.

Any special needs/markings/abilities?: Due to the final encounter with long time enemy 'Kane the Neighbor Cat', Mark's body has a series of feint scars that just barely appear above the feathers. He also has the scars of a cat bite on his left wing, which hampers his flying and greatly limits the he can spend airborne. After watching his former owner use it so much, Mark is capable of turning on and using a computer, limited to searching for information and text based Rp games.

Back story: Originally the birthday present of a teenaged boy who was addicted to watching the WWE, his owner quickly named him after his ideal the Undertaker. Quite happy with life with his owner, Undertaker enjoyed many months of pure bliss. During one night in which his master was staying at a friends house, Undertaker left his cage under cover of night and turned on the computer for the first time. Typing in 'Undertaker WWE', the raven discovered that the dark god like being he was named after was really called Mark Calaway in private. Wishing to mimic his namesake, Undertaker took on the private name of Mark Calaway himself.

The happiness ended when the new neighbors moved in, bringing with them Kane the Bengal. Mark and Kane's relationship was hostile since the moment they saw each other, both of them screaming insults at each other through the glass window of Mark's master's bedroom. This arms race of insults ended one night when Mark's owner was away and the window was left open by mistake. By the time human's arrived due to being alerted by the sound of epic combat, Mark's body was covered in shallow scratches and his wing was bleeding due to a bite and Kane's face was horribly disfigured by beak, talon and claw, sight being lost completely in the felines right eye.

Fearing a lawsuit for their bird harming one of the world's most expensive cats, Mark was dumped at an animal shelter in order to get treated for his injuries. He was shortly shipped to the Pet store, heartbroken about being abandoned by his owners and his new limitations during flight. If asked, he'll say that blinded that SOB was totally worth the injury, the only silver lining in his mind.

Animal's Name: FrostBite
Animal's Species: Albino African Pygmy Hedgehog.
Personality: Frostbite is a shy creature naturally, but his self confidence has dropped even further since no one has ever wanted to purchase him, often saying he was creepy because of his bright pink eyes and white body. Because of this the hedgie rarely came out of his cage to mingle with the other animals, afraid they would also think him "creepy". Then when his friend Scout came to the petstore, he became friends with her and only leaves her side to return to his own cage at the end of the night.
Looks:
Any special needs/markings/abilities?: Frostbite is sensitive to the sun and can easily get sunburned. But in the shop that's not much of a problem. In the mornings he hides in a ball till his eyes can handle the brightness.
Back story:Frostbite came from a very skilled breeder, but his coloration has kept customers from buying him and so he has out stayed any other hedgehog who has come in.

Animal's Name:Scout
Animal's Species: Dark sable ferret
Personality: Scout is a playful and mischievous little rascal who loves to get into things she shouldn't. She loves to try to make friends with every one (this makes Frostbite worry that he may lose his friend) She came to the petshop and was surprised that the animals got lose at night to roam the store. She quickly noticed though that an albino hedge hog never left his cage though and went up to talk with the strange creature. She convinced him to come out and play with her and since then the two rarely leave each others side.

Any special needs/markings/abilities?: Scout is able to squeeze into anyopening that she can fit her head into and is a very nimble and agile escape artist.
Back story:Scout used to have a family with an older lady who breed ferrets for show. She had a very nice life and a future with a handsome silver mitt colored male who was going to be her mate, but then the old lady passed away and left her entire ferret farm to her daughter who disliked the animals and brought them all to a ferret shelter. The shelter then separated the ferrets and sent them to petstores and adopted out as man as they could.

Animal's Species:Wolf cub
Personality:Extremly hyper, this young wolf cub loves a good scrap, though he's not a punk or bully, he just likes to play fight.Hes very loyal to his pack mates, being a wolf, though since he's never been in a real pack, ANYTHING can be a pack member.
Looks:He's a runt, covered in black and white fur, with a blue lightning bolt shaped stain on his abnormally large tail, which he uses to bonk his 'foes'.
Any special needs/markings/abilities?:He's very fast, with a hard head.He utilizes this fact to power his favorite attack, the tackle.He also has a large tail, which he uses to boost his speed and uses it like a club. He has a high pitched howl that can stun those with sentisive ears, though he rarely uses this.
Back story:Born in the wild, he wandered away from his pack, chancing upon some two leggers dumping some weird goop.His tail got into this goop, and he became sick.The Owner found him a few days later.His tail had been enlarged, and stained blue.Ever since then, he's been in Pet Stop.

Animal's Name:Ku-chi
Animal's Species:Cotton-Top tamarin
Personality:He's very picky about rules and often will scream at any one who does not follow the rules. He speaks in rhymes and has a sheet of paper with the rules written on it in his cage.
Looks: Dark brown fur covers most of his body, while his arms and top of his head is covered in long fluffy white hair.
Any special needs/markings/abilities?: He uses his tail to climb and is very quite when he's sneaking up on people, scaring most when he drops in front of them with a loud scream.
Back story: he used to belong to a circus, doing acrobatic tricks that amazed the audience. But one day he bit a trainer and was beat b y that trainer for doing so. He was later dumped in the pet store by the circus owner to avoid lawsuits. He had to tell the rest of the circus members he put Ku-chi down, but he didn't have the heart to do such a thing.
