What Looms Above Our Planet (Part II of the Alien Invasion!)

“They try so hard, thus lose so many. They surpass the limits of human evolution, and in turn they have limited the evolution of humans alone. Their entire universes faces forces so Herculean that it will collapse under its own weight. The inhabitants of Earth have over-reaped their very own organic sustenance to satiate their greed and inflate their luxuries. They worship super-beings, but this idolatry shall cease when the super-beings are not needed, or their superior grandeur threatens human expansion too greatly. Upon discovering their super-powers, the super-beings define what they believe to be right and wrong, and therefore walk their chosen path; however, each road ends in doom... each road crosses opposing paths, and through that intertwining, ‘right’ and 'wrong’ become confused. Yes... now I truly understand why Creator has selected this sphere of muddied and destructive prosperity to be Creator’s last supper. This is why Creator will destroy the Planet Earth, consume the remnants, and leave a new fissure in Space where nothing can be seeded and grown. Because the Planet Earth is helped and hindered by super-beings, because the Planet Earth is corrupted and human worth is disintegrating, because the Planet Earth has exceeded its ripe season, Creator will end it, and forever it shall be known as the chosen Planet for a Celestial Titan’s final and filling meal.”

These spitting decrees reverberated against rows and rows of crooked, razor teeth after slipping from a rot-colour, tri-forked tongue. With bruise-coloured skin stretched over a mutated skull, the tongue’s owner perched freakishly atop a pile of stinking human bodies. The alien war general’s name in human tongue translated to, simply, ‘The Alpha.’ The Alpha stared at Planet Earth, scanned its surface and what lay below the surface through two sets of searing, pitch-black, beady, alien eyes. As planned, Planet Earth’s own archaic creatures––dinosaurs––were serving their purpose, terrorising massive populations, devouring cities, and defying the Laws of Physics. Artificial life such as Cyborgs, Machine Police, Extraterrestrial Paladins, and programmable Weapons of Mass Destruction––having been plucked from what would have been Planet Earth’s future––betrayed their ancestors by decimating human life using their own fabricated intelligence. They did their job well enough, but Planet Earth ‘finest’ were living up to their titles as members of The Justice League of America.

A nearly-invulnerable super-being with eyes that shot red lasers bored holes into a number of dinosaurs set to wreak havoc upon the vast land called “Russia.” Another less-distinguishable red-and-yellow blur sped across bodies of water between the oriental stretches of land including “Japan,” “Polynesia,” Singapore” and “Thailand” as he rushed to disperse blazes caused by fire-spouting robots. One particularly fierce Amazonian super-being defended ancient lands such as “Greece” and “Italy” against Spartan-inspired Cyborgs that even King Xerxes himself would bow down to, her magical golden lasso at her ready. And still, even more premium super-beings, ‘good’ and ‘evil’ alike, stationed themselves in locations literally all around the World. Lesser-practiced yet amazingly powerful underlings covered smaller territories, their hearts filled with valour as strong as the superiors who tutored them. In cities and towns specifically, many young, aspiring heroes and villains combined forces to combat a common enemy. One of these such cities was so densely populated with aforementioned, lesser super-beings, “Jump City,” that curiosity caught hold of The Alpha, who, in turn, spat black bile upon his throne of corpses.

“...so hard they try, so many they will continue to lose.”

With those ominous words, The Alpha extended a gnarled, brutish, clawed finger and scratched something in its native language onto a pulsing, cryptic slab of stone––The Alpha’s race’s instrument that was comparable human command-center keyboard. The ancient runes suddenly glowed black, deporting an undetectable and unidentifiable sort of gravitational pull that encased a nearby, separate Planet’s moon, and sent it hurdling towards Earth at speeds exceeding five seconds per twenty miles. Planet Earth’s inhabitants would soon witness a titanic meteor, its target clear:

Jump City, U.S.A.

A red and silver near blur could be seen forming between the ranks of the aliens and dinosaurs alike, howls of every pitch and intensity being loosed into the night along with that of an insane, maniacal laughter, as blood sprayed everywhere around the city block. There were sounds of clashing steel, and many gunshots. The ranks of the aliens and dinosaurs alike, though swelling, were going down quite rapidly. A goliath of an alien in armor readied himself, punching right at the man as he came up to him. The man blocked with a quite large sword, and then punched and kicked him in the chest simultaneously, knocking the alien back. Before he could get up again, the face of a grinning demon with silver hair in a red coat had both handguns in his face.


Two more gunshots sounded out into the night, ending the alien, as he went limp. As more aliens and dinosaurs came in, Kyte stamped his foot in the ground off of the alien, and kicked off, causing it to spin towards the group, as with a shout, Kyte sprayed an endless barrage of bullets into the ranks, being careful not to hit any short-term allies, especially Ben 10, who he had to keep careful tabs on to make sure he didn't end that alien. He never thought he would find himself fighting along the Titans, but tonight they had a common goal: to protect the world from this invasion. In reality, Kyte himself was just protecting Rico from possibly getting harmed. He had made her stay at a bomb shelter, guarded by many metahuman clansmen. Not only was it so far underground that a nuke wouldn't hurt it, but the metahuman clansmen could deal with anything else as impending.

Just then, a giant, barreling Tyrannosaurus Rex came barreling down the street towards him and the others. Back off. I've got this. Kyte's bloodlust had already been activated, putting him into a frenzy for more. He wasn't controlling it; merely aiming it. Let's see just what a beast named after a tyrant can do! He unleashed another volley of bullets upon the animal, but it barely seemed to sting it, instead, it just ticked him off. Kyte grinned. Finally. Just as the T-Rex came roaring into range, Kyte quickly pocketed his guns and drew Noctis, rolling forward and hacking into the beast's leg. It roared, and he kicked the blade, sending it all the way through, before doing a backward varial flip (Meaning a backward in which he also rotates 180 degrees), and stabbing the brain of the monster.

Kyte hauled the blade over his shoulder, flipping open a phone while he had some spare time. When the hell's the main guy getting here? he shouted into the phone.

Nina stood on-top of the huge Brontosaurus, providing aerial stun support with her Spirit Orb, stunning various dinos and aliens which allowed others to easily vanquish them.

Meanwhile Ellenia looked around, being able to sense a very powerful demon and looked straight at Kyte as she flew past him "so the rumors were true, he is on the surface world..." she muttered as she waved hands horizontally through the air, her dark energy waves slicing through the swarms of Raptors and Comphsagniosauruses [those tiny green ones from Jurassic Park 2]

Ayumu was currently trying to catch up to the huge mechas, pushing the various aliens and dinos out of her way then waiting for her chance to climb onto one of the mechas.

Hotwire, still in the upgrade suit looked at the ship looming the city. He was in shock.

"Oh... Oh my..."

Kyte faintly heard something about a surface world as he leaped past a brontosaurus, seeing that it was being steered by one of the people to use as a mount as he turned some velociraptors into minced meat. Just then, an alien mech came out on the street, spraying him with fire. Focusing on getting out of the flames, he missed seeing the mech trying to bash him as well. Kyte soared through the air, flaming, before landing next to the woman on the brontosaurus. He didn't seem to notice, getting up and dusting himself off. His wife beater had caught fire, but not the jacket, strangely. He took off the coat and quickly ripped off the wife beater, tossing it away as he stretched his muscular frame.

What a punch. As he stretched, he finally noticed the woman, staring at him. Oh. Hi there.


He put the coat back on again, cracking his knuckles. Ok, mech dude. Time for round two! With a shout, he leaped off of the brontosaurus and came straight down with a powerful blow to the mech, going through its right shoulder with Noctis. it started sending out a wide array of electrical sparks, as its body slowly died. Just to do a kind of "double tap" with Noctis, Kyte hacked a few more times into the armor to make sure it stayed dysfunctional. As he moved on to the next mech, he saw the airship in the sky. He holstered the sword and drew his pistols, bombarding the advancing crowd of mechs with bullets, punching holes in them all over.

I need someone who can get me up to that airship!

Nina blinked surprised when Kyte landed near her, her eyes widening and she blushed a little when he stretched his muscles 'HOTOTOTOTOTOTOT HOT!' she said in her head as she stared at where he had been for a few moments then shook her head "woah....never knew there were guys like THAT in Jump City" she muttered before she smirked, her natural Kitsune instinct kicking in as she suddenly started thinking perverted thoughts, suddenly interrupted when she nearly fell off the Brontosaurus "woah, okay, daydream later! Concentrate now!" she said to herself before she continued to create purple orbs that continued to stun the dinos down below.

Meanwhile Ellenia continued to fly over the many dinos and continued to slice them up, noticing that Ayumu was struggling to get onto one of the mechs "heh, silly girl" she muttered before she flew in to help her get on the mech, grabbing Ayumu's hands and dropping her on-top of the mech, Ayumu starting to freeze parts of the mech before she managed to freeze something important, she figured water or ice must have dripped into its circuits, because soon after that, the mech went down.

Snow hadn't been fighting. In fact, she hadn't even been watching the fighting. She hadn't even been in the city. She had been away, practicing on gaining more control of her powers. Having yet to buy a cell phone or a laptop in America, she'd had no contact with the outside world. It had just been herself and nature. Of course, when people started to flee into her bubble of space, that was when she decided she'd had enough practice, and it was time to return.

Boy had she been astonished when arriving back in Jump City. Everything had been in chaos, and there had been dinosaurs, actual, living, breathing, dinosaurs, walking around destroying everything. To add to that, other creatures she could only assume were aliens waltzed around as well, as did some weird robot thing. Heroes and villains alike fought against this force, as it was everyone against the aliens.

Snow hadn't known whether or not to join. If someone found out she was an alien as well, would they think she was helping them? Would they attack her? She didn't know what to do.

However, she couldn't just leave everyone to die and not help! She could never do that. She just couldn't. And that brought her to where she was then, in the middle of a street filled with dinosaurs and aliens and robots. She hadn't been using her powers much, as she hadn't seen the need to do so. Besides, she wanted to save up her strength in case she needed it more later on.

Snow had noticed others on the street, but she didn't recognize any of them. That was understandable, as she had only been in America for a few weeks, and a lot of that time had been spent gaining more control over her powers.

A gasp escaped her as what she recognized as something the humans dubbed 'a T-Rex' graced the scene. It was ginormous, but before she could react one of the people on the street, a guy wearing red and silver, began to attack it. He stabbed it in the brain, and then was promptly encased in fire, and immediately after was hit by something she had heard being called a mech.

She almost ran to his aid, but he got up, tore off the flaming clothing, and bounced back into the action. Snow gazed helplessly at the fire mechs, and felt her hope dwindling down. She could never beat those. However, she didn't have to worry about those for the moment, because one of the smaller dinos ran towards her.

Panicking, as she had been caught off guard, Snow glanced around. A fire hydrant, already semi-broken, stood just a meter or so away. Concentrating, she willed the water from underground to come up to the surface. The hydrant bounced and shook, and right before the dino was upon her, water shot straight up. Snow used her bending to blast the dino back, but it got back up and came again. However, it was soaking wet, and that was all Snow needed.

She took a deep breath, and blew out. The water on the dino began to freeze, and within minutes it was a frozen statue. Knowing that only the outer layer of the dino was frozen and wouldn't hold for long, Snow grabbed a nearby pole, and with one great WHACK! knocked the dino's head clean off.

Deciding to keep the pole, Snow ran off down the street.

I need someone who can get me up to that airship! She heard someone call. Instinctively, she looked up and beheld the giant airship. She looked back over at the guy, and then at another fire hydrant near him. Maybe, just maybe... She thought.

"I might be able to," Snow said shyly, coming up from behind.

As Kyte brought Noctis down through the mech's shoulder, he heard the fox woman say she never knew there were guys like him there, causing Kyte to chuckle a bit. In response to his request, a woman he didn't know and Scope of the Teen Titans showed up. He was, of course, more surprised about the latter, but he wasn't going to stand there and gawk about Scope offering to help. He did, however, have to make sure he was prepared.

Alright, Scope. Thanks for the assist. However, I'm going to be wrecking things up there until it explodes or crashes to the ground, so I'll need you to be able to bail when necessary. He turned to the girl. Alright, so, how are you going to get us up there? I'd fly myself, but my wings are seriously injured right now. It'll take a bit for them to come back. Kyte waited for her solution, before drawing Tenebrae and Lux and killing a few more aliens with well placed shots. I'd get Ben 10 to do it, but I'm sure everyone wouldn't like him and me being alone. Kyte started spinning his pistols on his fingers like a gun fanatic, waiting.

Snow heard someone mutter about no bars on their cell phone as she waited to see if the guy would need help. Another guy ran up, and stood in front of the guy in silver and red.

"You will need back up, Kyte. What's the plan?" The guy said. Kyte, as she now knew was his name, seemed surprised, even shocked that this guy was helping. She wondered what the relationship was between the two. Probably enemies by the looks of it, but everyone made friends fast when it was life or death, and right then, it was.

Alright, Scope. Thanks for the assist. However, I'm going to be wrecking things up there until it explodes or crashes to the ground, so I'll need you to be able to bail when necessary. Kyte said. Kyte and Scope. Snow wondered if all of the human names were as odd as that. They hadn't really been that odd in Europe, so it must be an American thing. Snow decided. Kyte then turned to her.

Alright, so, how are you going to get us up there? I'd fly myself, but my wings are seriously injured right now. It'll take a bit for them to come back. He said. Snow wondered what he meant by wings. She guessed that they only appeared when he was at his strongest or something, based on what he said about them 'coming back'.

Now came the hard part. She had to get them up there.

"Well, I think that if I can build up the water pressure from the fire hydrant I can blast you up to the ship," Snow said, her British accent thick. "It is probably not the safest way to get up, but I don't think you have many options."
