Knock Knock... (Titans)

Time of day: Around noon.

Friday Jump city. Today nothing was really going on and Raith was bored. He had considered going back to Steel but he had heared that Spider girl had come back and wasn't really looking foward to running into her. He walked into an alley and ditched his trench coat. He then spread his wings and bolted up a huge skyscraper.
Gosh I'm hungry
He thought rooting through his pokets. He found some small change but that was for the laudramat. He could go to the food bank but that always made him feel guilty. He then pulled out one of his newports, snapped his fingers and, and lit it as flames shot out of his hands. He took a drag and then looked to the Jump bay. Then he saw it. The Titans tower. The thought of being a Titan (or offical Titan anyways) had never really apealed to him. But being homless really takes a toll after awhile. And with that his mind was made up. He spread his wings and shot to the tower. He landed right at the front door and looked up.
WOW ... Its alot bigger in person.
He knocked on the door.

The door opened and Grace Dore's face appeared on the other side. She was wearing a smile, but that smile turned upside down as she recognized the visitor. Raith. The flying fire-mage who thought he owned the world. Grace didn't like very many people. In fact, there were many members of the team she outright despised. Raith was no exception.

"What do you want?"

Raith tried to keep a smile on his face when he saw Grace. But it was the kinda smile you have when your interviewing for a job. Fake. He took a drag from his ciggarette and blew a smoke ring at Grace.
So you do remeber me... Well somone like me is kinda hard to forget.
He reached in his poket and pulled out one of the few items he actully owned. His T-communicater
I'd like to traid this in for a real one. If you catch my drift.

Raith wanted to be a Titan? Something must have lowered his egotistical image of himself. To think the mighty Raith needed the Titans' help.

But, there was a bright side to this, Grace thought. Raith did have powerful abilities. Untrained as they may be, those abilities would be much better served on the Titans, where they could be kept in line.

Grace also knew that she was often overly critical. If she allowed others like Tara to join the team, then she couldn't very well reject Raith, now could she?

After the long pause to think it over, Grace held out a hand. "Congrats, Raith. You just became a Teen Titan."

Raith's fake smile went to a confused one. He put his hand out to shake Grace's.
Never thought It'd be that easy.
He fliked his ciggarette to the ground and stepped on it.
So... Could you show me around a bit. Or at least were I'm staying.

"Where you're staying, I'm not sure about right now. All our rooms are full. You'll have to find someone willing to share." Grace smiled. This was Raith's true test. Who would want to share a room with an obnoxious fire-mage? For Raith to find his place on this team, he would have to make friends. It wasn't as fun as beating up computer-generated monsters, but it was more important right now. The Titans had the firepower, now they just needed some camaraderie.

Grace showed Raith into the Main Ops Room. "This is where we hang out and receive missions." She grabbed a spare Titans communicator and handed it to the new team member. A few years ago, this would have been a major event, with all Titans in attendance. But now...there were just so many that it was hardly noticed. Another face had entered the tower, the numbers grew by one more.

Grace decided that something had to be done. She jumped over a couch and grabbed the telephone. Dialing the nearest pizza shop, which actually delivered by boat, she ordered a feast in various flavors. She charged it to the Titans' special account number.

Today would not be just another day, Grace decided. It would be special.

Grabbing her own communicator, Grace paged every Titan. "Hey everyone, pizza party in the Main Ops Room in 20 minutes. Be there."

Sporting an old fedora, some distressed khaki jeans, a white tight tee, and a pair of dandelion-coloured suspenders, Liev simply leaned against the wall of the main ops room of Titans tower, a look of relative interest that shone like gold rings. Apparently, all it takes now to become a Teen Titan is to ask to be one. You got a room if you asked for that, too. Why not throw in a pizza party for the newbie while on was at it? the shapeshifter pondered sarcastically as he eyed the gothic-looking character now being personally given a grand tour of the Titans Tower. He had a pretentious air to him that really put Honest off, which is saying something since Honest had quite an ego of his own. But blowing a cute little ring of smoke in the leader’s face? Strolling in like he owned the place? Just joining for a bunk?

Now that was just rude.

...then again, Liev had technically been rude by waltzing through the door just a visual spectrum shy of being obvious, aided also by the fact that Grace hadn’t shut the door. Liev had been polite enough to close it. And that obviously fake and forced smile? A child could do better, especially if they were trying to lie to someone. Honest didn’t even have to focus in on the newcomer’s facial expressions, involuntary gestures, and overall awkward stance; his words told Honest all that he needed to know; however, being oh-so-curious, the estranged Teen Titan wanted more information. Now that Grace had placed the call for pizza, Liev decided to pitch in, too. Nonchalantly flipping his cell phone open and pressing a few numbers, he chattered on with the person on the receiving end:

“Je voudrais du Clos Mesnil Chardonnay vin, s'il vous plait. Une bouteille. Carte de crédit. Ehrlichmann, Liev A. Oui. Merci. Bonne journée.”

He proceeded to flip the cell phone close, clapped and rubbed his hands together, then made his comeback.

“Gracie-poo!” Honest exclaimed with sugary-sweet panache, “long time no see, darling––too long, in fact. I wanna be a Titan, too! Does this mean I get a room and my own pizza party? I hope I don’t have to share with Mr. Gothic, because he’s just milking this moment. Oh! I just go a brilliant idea! How ‘bout I move in with Superboy? I heard he has a very questionable fashion sense...”

No...NO! Not Honest!

Grace's jaw dropped at the sight of the long-lost comrade. Even with all these new members, at least it had been quiet in the Tower since Honest left.

Yet the odd man's words were true, as always. Had Grace gone soft? She had just let Raith onto the team without an extensive interrogation. She was slipping.

"Honest...what a surprise. Of course you can join the team." She forced a fake smile. "Unfortunately, you're now room-less as well. The pizza party will be a great chance for you to find a roommate. Now, should I conclude that you aren't going to eat any of the pizza?"

Metamorphi had been searching for 20 minutes and had not seen another titan, let alone befriended one, he was about to give up before hearing this: Hey everyone, pizza party in the Main Ops Room in 20 minutes. Be there. He decided to go there since apparently he had to be there, he walked in, saw 3 people, one he recognized as Grace and commented with sarcasm Wow, what a large turnout!. He took some pizza, put it in his mouth, jumped onto the couch and waited for more people to come.

Raith saw this new guy... Well not new but you know what I mean. Anyways, he had called him Mr. Gothic. He wasn't actully gothic though, crimefighting in black was just a better aproach then jeans, hightops, and a plain white tee. Now normaly critiqueing Raiths fashion would have set him off but this guy seemed to be a Titan so he just tried to pass it off.
Mr. Gothic heheh... Well it's actully Johnathan... Johnathan Styles but most people just call me Raith or John.
He said akwardly. He then notice the food was there and his eyes widened. His resended stomache started growling.He casully walked to the pizza and took a whole box. He sat next to Metamorphi on the couch and started to eat.

“Lovely to see you again, too, darling. You’re looking mighty fine, as usual, but you’re going to have to work on that smile of for a while; to me, you see, it’s not so easy to be fooled like he,” Liev nodded toward Raith’s direction, “but nah, no pizza; I’ve gone vegan now... trying to keep in tip-top shape! I ordered a bottle of white wine to share with someone, though, if I’m not the only one older than twenty-one here.” He stepped back a little and looked at Grace, the newly acquainted Raith, and the kid with the oddly blood-red hair and the hawk-yellow eyes and suddenly felt old... quite old, especially if he were to be a Teen Titan. As he mulled over that fact, the shapeshifter decided that he’d try and give Grace a little friendly advice coupled with a personal favour.

“Grace,” Liev began, putting his arm over he shoulder and sort of steering her away from eager ears, ”I advise you to be careful who you take in. With me, I understand that your numbers tally to twenty-four. There are a lot of villains out there, indeed, but cleaning up everyone’s garbage can lead to a people who are powerless. Ordinary people will start to ignore their own ordinary problems. One day, we’re not going to be here to save that one day, and we’ll be blamed for not rescuing a kitten from a tree, apprehend a purse snatcher, or fix a pot hole in the street with our laser vision.”

Honest then looked from Grace to Raith, then to Grace again. ”A fellow owes me a favour and happens to run a big construction company that specialises in more... well, eloborate architecture. He could easily fit in a couple or so new rooms either in the basement, in a more unused section, or something of the like. He’s trustworthy, too. I should know; after all, discerning what’s true and what’s fake is literally grafted into my genetics.”

Winking, Honest left Grace without waiting for a reply and sat down on a couch opposite Raith and Metamorphi.  “Honest is the name, lying’s the game. How ‘bout you two?”

PIZZA! Tara was a fan of pizza. Well she was a fan of any food she could put in her mouth. She had a pretty much bottomless stomach which came in hand at parties like these where usually she would just eat and eat and eat but because she didn't really know anyone so for now she was just going to keep a low profile and keep quiet. "So. Many. People." Tara had never really been on a team before so she didn't really know what to expect.

One person who wasn't really a big "team person" but for different reasons was Superboy who had just walked into the room. He could smell the pizza a mile away both figuratively and literally, but he wasn't sure if that was a good thing. He wasn't a big fan of pizza or pretty much any food, he didn't see the point in this whole thing but he decided that he'd just hang around to show his face around the Tower

Grace stared at Honest with unamused eyes. Now he was telling her who to let on the team? She had forgotten just how annoying he was. The long lost Titan did have some good news, though. He had the connections to add on some more space to the Tower. Grace smiled sincerely at that comment.

The party seemed to be coming together. The pizza had arrived and was now being devoured by several Titans. Grace took a slice and sat down on the couch alone. She took a deep breath and sighed. It was good that everyone could have a good time and get to know each other. Grace wished that she was better at making friends. Despite being the leader of the team, she usually felt like she didn't fit in with the group. And that was saying something when Honest seemed to fit in.

Oh well. Maybe having an old ally around could be a good thing. Honest could take over some of Grace's responsibilities, which would give Grace more time to relax.

Metamorphi had finished his pizza and was about to get some more when someone joined him hey, what`s your name?. As he was talking another man joined him My names Metamorphi and I don`t play games.
