The metal door closed with a thud, Blink's footsteps on the metal floor echoing through the labyrinth. The locking mechanism clanking loudly and resonating along with the steps. He moved forward into the darkness until he saw a shine of maroon in the corner of the room. "So...do you think she'll come back?" he asked the faceless figure.
The figure walked into the dim light of the room, revealing himself to be a tall man, with slim features, pale skin (although you couldn't see much of it) and a knowing grin beneath the rim and shadow of his top hat. He walked forward, spinning his cane gingerly. "Probably not." he said frankly.
The man went down on one knee and began nonchalantly drawing pictures in the dirt. "Look...I'm sorry. I know I'm not supposed to let anyone leave. Nikkita could bring the police here. Bring Titans here. Reveal what we've been doing and bring everything into the light...I...I might've ruined everything..." Blink apologized, hanging his head in shame.
"Would that be so bad?" Maze questioned calmly.
"What!? What do you even mean!? This is your dynasty you've created!? How could you be so careless!? How-I-This just doesn-..." Blink stuttered and trailed off.
Maze looked up from the dirt and frowned slightly. "You know what, Alex? Sometimes, in life, you just have to have faith that things will turn out okay."
Blink paused and nodded. He wasn't sure if Maze was being serious, but...he was right. All they could really do now...was wait...

Cuz I do plan on having Nikki come back, just not sure yet what her answer will be, lol. Making the were ferret go evil might be kinda fun.) | |

| (When you have your answer create a thread with a tag that says something like (Pop Quiz Continued) or (Extra Credit) or just something that will let me know to respond and I'll respond. It just needs to be an answer thread. If you want her to join Maze's corporation, we can do a thread of taking her to the island base and being debriefed by Maze, maybe have an encounter with Rail. If she says no, then there will be some sort of trap ready to capture Nikki and she will have to find some means of escape AGAIN. Sound cool?) | |
