They seemed to be buying his lies, but it didn't really matter. Either way, they would be dead in a few minutes. Seth had never said this mission had to be boring.

SpiderGirl asked why he had been able to avoid detection. "You've both made big names for yourselves. What with destroying half of Steel City and all. I have kept myself far more concealed in the shadows."

Agent Uranus walked into the alleyway, expecting the two to follow him. The moment they walked into the alleyway, Uranus would say one word:

"Boom."

With that, the bombs he had hidden inside trash-cans and under newspapers within the entrance to the alleyway would explode. Agent Earth's voice-activated bombs were the magnificent, Uranus decided. The explosions would rattle the two targets with concussive force, searing heat, and dislodged bricks. With their abilities, he gave them about a 30% chance of surviving the blast, which was far higher than the odds for a normal person.

She wanted to follow this guy? Really? That was...unexpected he had been ready to open a can of kick butt on his guy and electrocute him into next week until he answered some sort of....important....bad guy related question. That them some sort of idea were to start this hunt of who ever wiped his memory. Though first Ravian would have to make sure never to accidentally refer to him and spidergirl as a group ever again, even if it was just in his head.

He couldn't let himself get used to acquainting himself with heroes, he wasn't one, he couldn't hang with them. As long as he worked as a thief he could not, ever, have someone whose "job" was the exact opposite of his, as a friend, companion, and preferably not as an enemy. His first encounter with the titans had gone horribly so he was doing his best to stay off the grid for as long as possible.

Though spidergirl had disrupted his normal "lay low" policy with her brightly folders and super shiny costume...not to mention she looked like a fricken cyborg. In the middle of an urban neighborhood, maybe if he was lucky no one around would ever see and recognize him again. But at least no one was on the streets.

Ravian walked into the alley, keeping a careful eye on the strange man, but he didn't get far. After the man said "boom" the explosions bounced Ravian around like he was a rag doll. There was a large flash and a few arcs of electricity scorched the walls of the alley as he tried to defend himself but was stunned into a state of ignorance and obliviousness. He was on all fours bleeding from several cuts and such. He could feel his body starting to ache, he felt....bruised by the force of the blast. He turned over onto his back and lied there for a moment, the electricity had helped a bit, the sudden heat had counteracted many of the explosions forces, but only slightly.

He could handle the hear but the concussion wave had done the majority of the damage while the bricks had been slightly deflected by the sudden rush of air coming from ravian, but in general. He wasn't okay at all, honestly who planted explosions in an alley way. He stared at the sky before sitting up with a groan and looking at the mystery man "what the heck was that...who are you?" he said louder than needed, the explosion had messed with his hearing, leaving his ears ringing, though it was coming back quickly.

Agent Uranus smiled as he removed his mask, revealing his face. "That was called a trick," he said, answering Ravian's question. He then side-stepped to avoid Spider-Girl's web. It seemed the girl was still able to fight. Fun.

"As for who I am, we're not supposed to tell. It doesn't really matter, though. It's not like I have a life beyond my work. You can call me Vega." Giving out names was super-against the rules, but Vega had always thought Seth had too many rules. This was a fight. It would be dishonorable to keep his name from his opponent.

Placing his mask back on his face, Vega dashed for Spider-Girl. His steel claw aimed for her working web-slinger. Her armor looked pretty tough, but he could certainly break a web-gun.

Vega had broken her web-slinger. Good. However, he paid for it by being grabbed by the girl's legs and tossed into the air. Vega soared high above the ground, did a double-flip, and landed gracefully on his feet. He was an expert aerialist, so throwing him around wouldn't do much good. Still, the girl had very fast reflexes, and she could move quickly even while wearing that heavy-looking armor.

Vega jumped 20 feet into the air, momentarily 'landed' on a brick wall high above Spider-Girl, and then dove down towards her head-first. Again, his claw led the way. This time he was aiming for the damaged parts of her armor, where it would hopefully be weak. He had gravity and the power of his jump on his side, giving him a huge amount of power behind his attack. He was essentially a torpedo now. He screamed like a lunatic as he approached his target.

Ravian slowly got up, still not sure what was happening. His movement was slow and uncoordinated still. But as the dining in his ears went down he discovered he could still hear. He felt his ears rubbing them, along with his temples. Trying to soothe the pounding in his head. It was as if a jackhammer had been pressed against his skull, just a constant throbbing. But though his mind as lethargic his face looked much different as he tried to take everything in. His eyes wide open as if he was a deer in the headlights.

Most evident of all, he hadn't yet snapped back at spidergirl barking orders at him. Usually he would've yelled right back but now he just slowly looked around. Realizing he was in a different spot from when the explosions had begun "that really hurt" he said bitterly. Wishing he hadn't been so quick to step into the alley. He could swear that everything he did led to a bad end.

Finnally once back on his feet and standing up straight. He blinked a few times and watched spidergirl fling the man into the air and it was there he saw his chance at revenge as the man rebounded off the wall Ravian shot a bolt along the path he was taking, aiming to let him fly straight into the arc of electricity instead of actually hit him. "like I'd just run away, you underestimate me." he stated stubbornly.

Vega's eyes opened wide. He couldn't change his trajectory. Ravian had unexpectedly stood up and shot an arc of electricity in his path. That kid was tougher than Vega had thought.

This was going to hurt.

Vega shot through the stream of electricity, and his body convulsed for a few seconds. He was burned in several places as well as...well...shocked. He wasn't able to control himself for a while as his brain and nerves went haywire.

He slammed into the ground, miraculously rolling his way out of broken bones. His skin was blackened in a few places from the electricity. Amazingly, he stood up. He had felt his own share of pain in life, and as much as he hurt, he would not fail in his mission. He had to kill these two.

With a slight stagger, Vega ran towards Ravian, ducking at the last second and then diving for the boy's legs. His claws reached for the electromancer's knee in an effort to cripple him.

Ravian saw success as his bolt succeeded in it's electrocution of this "Vega" he smiled, it was rather uncommon for him find pleasure in anothers pain. But this guy was an exception, one of the number that Ravian simply didn't like and even wished pain upon. He even let out a small chuckle, until vega got up of course.

Ravian's smile faded. He had been expecting a bit more time to recover, instead he was charged. He stumbled back but the explosion has done damage and he couldn't dodge an attack like this. He braced himself for the blow, shutting his eyes tightly. But was surprised to find himself completely fine.....well...as compared to how he was currently.

He opened his eyes to find spider girl protecting him. Honestlythis was more surprising than the explosion "T-thanks" he found himself saying with a slight stammer in his surprise. At least she wasn't all bad. As the webbing came back Ravian brought up his hand, keeping it aligned with the Assassins body, as if expecting some sort of.....laser watch or something to cut him free. Which, giving the man's access to explosives. "you should listen, she sounds pretty serious." he said. Standing behind and to the side of the girl. He wanted to light him up like a neon sign but that would have to wait until spidergirl was a bit farther away. There were temporary allies after all.

"You are fast," Vega said to Spider Girl. "Very well, I will tell you what you want to know. I work for Sol." He was telling the truth. Seth's codename was Agent Sol. Beyond Sol/Seth, Vega knew nothing of his employer's true identity. It was a very well-kept secret.

"Sol is the man who hired Ravian here to assassinate you, Spider Girl. I'm suprised that you trust him. In a way, he's still killing you, since Sol can track his location. I never would have found you without Ravian's help. Now tell me, even if you find out where Sol is, what will you do? I can already tell you that you would be walking into a trap if you tried to face him directly. Will you try to run away after you defeat me? Sol will simply keep sending assassin after assassin to kill you."

Vega waited for a reply, then went on. "I am no fool, Spider Girl. I do believe that you could win this fight against me. However, Sol does not play fair. If you defeat me and get away, then 10 bombs will go off in the residential district of Jump City. You've seen the effectiveness of these bombs. People will die; about 30 if I had to guess. 30 people will die if you selfishly try to live." Vega was telling the truth. He had set the bombs this morning. This was perhaps his greatest weapon: guilt. Heroes never wanted to be responsible for death.

"Or, you can die by my blades and save them all. I promise you that none of the bombs will go off if you give your life to me now. I am a man of my word." Vega cut a shallow wound into his own arm, sealing his promise in blood. He truely meant what he said. Either Spider Girl was going to die, or the 10 bombs would go off.

Vega smiled. "Coward? I feel no fear, young lady. I'm quite a disturbed individual, actually. I take pride in being dastardly. And doubting oneself is natural. You need to keep your self image in check or else you end up dead. Speaking of, how heroic are you feeling, Spider Girl? Is your life worth such a sacrifice? Are you going to kill or be killed?"

Well, this was unexpected. This situation had quickly spun out of control. From him being jumped to finding out that he had had his memory messed with. Quickly followed by being blown up, at that point he had guessed that was as bad as it was going to get. But no this guy had bombs planted through out the district? Ravian wondered how he got dragged into all of this. But at the moment what was really on his mind was the 30 people about to die. Or spider girl.

Wait...was she really telling him to run away from this? "I'm not going anywhere!" he said angrily "That can wait until later, who do you think you are." he said trying to think of some way to quickly find the bombs. Unfortunately he was fresh out of realistic ideas.

He didn't really have any connections and there was no one else around besides him and Spidergirl, the latter of which had to stick around so that this guy wouldn't blow up 30 people. He couldn't even make a plan without this guy hearing it. His whole plan of "staying under the radar" was quickly failing as these to entered his life [color=maroon["Why is her dying so important?"[/color] he finally asked.
