Broken homes and shattered hopes (pika)

the warehouse district that wraith spoke about was in a rundown location in the slums the warehouse caked in graffiti and rust inside of one whearhouse was a light with sounds of children's nursery ryme music playing with a little girls soft humming echoing from within

inside the room a little girl happily humed along to her music from a most likely stolem boombox a children's bed with pink comfiters was in the far corner with drawings of a little girl and a blackened figure looking happy lined the walls a few of the pictures shows the blackened figure rescuing her from a burning building with a ninja looking man in the drawing as well. on the opposite wall was boxes of ammo, money and warheads for a rpg while a few weapon parts kits covered a small desk and a military style cot next to it. near the door was a note and a small plate with a pbandj sandwich with a note saying for Wraith written in crayon. a child with green hair was at another much smaller desk doing homeschool work in the corner greed long hair tied up in a pony tail adorned her head.

Chris would walk up to the warehouse that Wraith told him about, looking for the child that Wraith claimed he had taken with him to save from being scrapped for parts by Hadescorp. In truth Chris wasn't one hundred percent sure that Wraith's story was completely true, for all he knew this was all a ruse and Chris was just wasting his time. On the other hand, if there was even a slight chance that the story was true then Chris had no choice but to do something about it.

That line of thinking brought Chris to this warehouse, where he could softly hear nursery rhymes and humming coming from inside. Looks like there was a girl here after all. Chris would open up the door and come in, calling out into the dark room "Hello?"

The girl made a surprised squeek as she turned around in her chair so quickly she stumbled out of it. Originally she was frightened to the point of grabbing her plushy but after a moment of no hostil action being taken she would go to her desk and right something before showing it to Chris "Wraith said not to talk to strangers are you friends with him?" not waiting for an answer she grabbed a few of her pictures off the desk of a crewd drawing of what could best be described as wraith protecting a little girl from bad monsters.

Much like most children, she acted happy and energetic though it was clear that she wasn't physically well mabie a cold or something but clearly wasn't being held here against her will and was being cared for. setting the pictures down on the desk she ran to write something else before returning the note said "are you coming with us Wraith said we'll go get ice cream when he gets back."

Seconds after calling out into the warehouse Chris would see movement as a little girl was startled by his appearance and stumbled out of her chair. Chris wanted to rush over and see if she was okay, but given how startled the girl was it probably wasn't a great idea to make any sudden movements, so he would instead stay where he was until the girl felt comfortable approaching him. That seemed to happen pretty quickly though as she wrote a message on a notebook and ran over to show him it, asking him if he was friends with Wraith "Can you not talk?" Chris would ask, bluntly.

However she answered the conversation would then move on to the girl asking Chris if he was going to be coming with her and Wraith for ice cream. Chris had known this was coming, so he had already steeled his heart for what he had to do next "Wraith isn't coming back" he would say with brutal honesty. It wasn't exactly nice, but it would be cruel to lead her along or give her false hope.
