Main Power Origins: Natural Martian Abilities
PowersShapeshiftingKaela is able to modify her body on a molecular level freely, as all Martians can. Outside of the obvious applications of becoming a giant snake or monkey, this gives her the ability to modify her retinas to see in different ways, including microscopic and infrared vision. Additionally, due to the level that this shapeshifting occurs on, she is able to simulate superhuman durability by increasing her density, withstanding up to 20 tons of force effortlessly if given the chance to prepare herself. When this fails however, she is able to modify her molecular density to become intangible and phase through objects, held together strictly by telekinetic ability, which makes her intangible form difficult to maintain for long periods of time. In a similar vein, she is able to modify her skin cells to cease to reflect light, making her invisible to the naked eye. And finally, she can use her shapeshifting abilities to regenerate from damage, by simply molding the flesh back together, or creating a new limb to replace what was lost.
TelekinesisThe natural abilities all Martians possess do not end there, however. They also have immense telekinetic might, able to lift over 20 tons with the force of their minds alone. Fortunately for any who face them, Martians do not typically move large objects with immense speed, though the weight they can lift typically serves as enough for combat efficiency. With this ability, Kaela is able to simulate flight by lifting her own frame, achieving a maximum speed of 40 mph. Kaela can also use this ability to simulate superhuman strength, up to her telekinetic maximum.
TelepathyFinally, Martians have the ability of telepathy, and they're quite liberal with it. On Mars, no one actually speaks. They communicate telepathically at all times, and reading minds is seen as commonplace. There are however the dark sides of this ability that Kaela technically has access to as well. Other than creating a telepathic relay between herself and any other creatures she sees fit, over a distance roughly the size of a city, she can enter someone's mindscape as an astral projection. During this time, both her and her target are essentially sitting ducks, and Kaela will have no way to protect herself. In this state, she can create psionic blasts to engage in mental warfare. And if she were to win such a bout, she could cause permanent damage to her opponent's mind. Whether it be memory loss or just making them a vegetable. Kaela has a distinct distaste for this form of warfare however, and will not engage in it under normal circumstances.
SkillsMultilingualism (basically any language)
Physical WeaknessesFireAs with all Martians, Kaela has a deep seeded weakness of fire. Its very presence weakens her, and her vicinity to it only weakens her further. It will lock up her body, including her shapeshifting, telekinesis, and base functions, including her breathing. She will slowly suffocate in its presence unless dragged away from it, and if surrounded, it will begin to burn away at her flesh until her inevitable demise.
Mental WeaknessesPyrophobiaAgain, very much similar to her physical weakness. However, Martians have a severe aversion to fire, for obvious reasons. Because of this, any illusion of fire will cause similar, but lessened, effects similar to her previous fire weakness. Even if she knows it's an illusion, her body will lock up, and she will slowly begin to lose her breath. She likely won't suffocate, but she'll be incapacitated.
MonophobiaKaela has spent a long time being alone. It is a deep feeling of pain that she does not wish to continue, and because of this she fears being alone. She can be manipulated using this fear.
AnthropophobiaThe fear of people, and the fear of not being accepted. As a white martian, Kaela has a fear of returning to life as a second class citizen. And after spending so much time in STAR Labs, she has a fear of large crowds of humans. Especially those with government positions.
ElectrophobiaDue to her time in the lab, and the constant prodding involved, M'kaela has developed a fear of electricity and the shocks that come with it.

"Seriously? I'm like, my own swiss army knife..."«««CEREBRAL PROFILE»»»
PersonalityKaela is a very bubbly personality once you've gotten to know her. She is enthusiastic about exploring this new planet and what good it has to offer. She loves television (as all Martians do) and adores Earth food. She's very interested in this whole 'internet' thing and isn't quite sure how far it can be taken.
As for her outlook and attitude, she often questions motives of those she does not know. Due to her time in the labs, she is conditioned not to read minds unless prompted. Now that she's free to roam, she has picked up the customs and style of young humans very quickly. More than enough to pass as one, anyway. Maybe a weird one, though.
«««PERSONAL BACKGROUND»»»
Family Members: None Known
Place of Origin: Mars
HistoryKaela is a White Martian. To put it into perspective, there were once two races who existed on Mars. The green, and the white. The green Martians were philosophers, scholars. The White Martians were warriors and bloodthirsty savages, who began a civil war against their green brethren. Kaela however knows nothing of this. Her parents, prior to her birth, were on a Martian craft orbiting the Earth. What they were doing there? She never knew. Nor did she ever know them. The aircraft was spotted, and at some point it was shot down by the United States Military.
Her parents, miraculously, survived the crash, and were taken for testing purposes. The nature of the tests done on her parents, again, Kaela does not know. At some point in these tests, she was conceived however, and born in captivity. From what she understands from the minds she has managed to read over the years, it would seem that the goal with her conception was to examine how her powers would develop while raised on Earth. Additionally, to see if the bloodthirsty traits of her parents were biological or learned. Results on this were mixed.
While she did sometimes show signs of aggression, Kaela was a very passive child, but this was likely learned behavior due to her environment. She was given strict supervision at all times, ensuring that she did not escape their sights, and examining her powers at various stages of her growth. During her off time, she would enjoy various television broadcasts that she was permitted to view, which showed her the 'normal' human life. So in other words, reality TV. As she got older and her mind began to develop, the tests became more numerous, painful, and demoralizing. Eventually, M'kaela had had more than enough of these humans and their experiments, and in the dead of night, she made her move. She slowly began to plant small, psychic seeds in the minds of her captors and the scientists performing the tests. Little ideas that she would later force to bloom quite rapidly.
Some of those people did not survive her escape, having been knocked braindead by her constant invasions. Others, no longer are aware that she ever existed. And given how closely guarded the project was, it's hard to say that anyone still lives that knows about the little white martian girl kept prisoner in the depths of the steel bunker. After finally making her way to the surface, M'kaela is watching, learning, and adapting to everything around her. Always watching.
