Powers: Can manipulate and control playing cards. He can manipulate them with his will and make them razor sharp, make them hard enough to deflect attacks, make them large enough to ride on them or catch people. He can also transform the cards into various weapons such as swords or shields, and they can graft onto his body forming large fists made of cards. At the sametime he can transform his body into cards allowing him to absorb a physical hit an dhave the attack phase through his body, as well as transform his entire body into cards and either fly off into the air or materlize behind his enemies. Finally he can project parts of his body into the cards such as his eyes to spy on people.

Habits/Quirks: Plays gambling games a lot, such as Liar's Dice, poker, and black jack to pass the time. He does this to get things he wants from the other Titans such as the last slice of pizza. He also likes tinkering with the vehicles, finding ways to modify them. Being of Irish descent he is a Roman Catholic who attends church every Sunday and will at times qoute from the Bible.
Personality:Believes devoutly in luck and destiny, and believes if your luck doesn't go the way you want, you must fight for the luck you need. He likes to have people draw a card from his deck when he first meets them and goes on to decide what his fate with that person is by the card they draw or throw dice at thier feet to see what number they draw similar to the game "Craps". He does follow a code of honor passed down to him by his father and always respects his friends and comrades. He is somewhat flirtatious and is known to flirt with the girls in the Titans.
===PERSONAL BACKGROUND===
Family: None, Mother and Father deceased.
Place of Origin: Atlantic City, NJ
History: His mother died in child birth and he was raised by his professional gambling father. His father, despite his habits loved and cared for Shawn and always tried to give him the best that he could. As he grew up, he taught Shawn all he could about gambling and the various games. He also taught Shawn his concept of fate and destiny. As he grew, his father had him hang out at a garage where he learned to fix bikes and cars. Their life was meager, but it satisfied them. However, that all changed when his father's debts racked up and one night, collectors came calling when he was 17. The men took his father away, but not until his father gave him a deck of cards he had used his entire life saying, "Fate has chosen for me, now let it guide you son. Play your own hand and make it a good one."
Knowing his father was gone, Shawn decided to go on a cross country trip to find his destiny, and left New Jersey. He has spent the last year riding across the country, doing what he could to help the people he met. One day while in New Mexico he saw a gang of thugs harassing a Navajo father and Daughter. Intervening he beat up and drove off the thugs, but the leader pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the chest as he turned around. Luckily, his father's deck of cards was in his breast pocket and stopped the knife from piercing his heart. Wounded, his father's cards soaked with his blood, the family took him in to heal him. The father looked at the blood soaked cards and decided to give Shawn a gift.
He performed a ritual on the cards as Shawn slept that night and when he awoke, told Shawn that, "The cards are now one with you, bonded with your blood and the blood of your father. They will now defend you and keep you safe and fight for you as they did your father before." Since then Shawn has had his power to control and manipulate his cards and other cards he has collected. He has since come to Jump City, looking for work and perhaps finding his destiny.
Sample RP Mark Winter rode his motorcycle down the road on the dusty desert roads of New Mexico as he enjoyed the wind on his face and the sites of the land. As he rode along he saw what looked like a collection of bikes ahead at a stone hut. He eased up on the throttle and as he slowed down he saw a gang of four thugs pushing an old Navajo man around while one held a young girl, about his age by her hair. Glaring at the thugs, Mark increased his speed and rode to the group pushing the old man. As he closed in, one thug heard the engine of his bike and turned as Mark held out his fist and sucker punched the man in the face. The man went flying and crashed into the ground. The other thugs turned in shock as Mark shut his bike off and turned to glare at the men.
"It's pathetic that you boys feel you have to bother the natives for fun" he said as he hopped of his bike. "Stay out of it you little punk" one man said as he ran up and swung at Mark. However Mark ducked under the punch and hit the man in the stomach and followed up with a right haymaker to his right temple. The man fell to the ground holding his head in pain as the other two tried to rush Mark together. Mark ducked a punch and kneed one man in the gut before pushing him away. He then caught the fist of another man and twisted his arm back. The man yelped in pain as Mark kicked his back feet, causing the man to buckle under his knees. Mark then raised his elbow and slammed it twice into the man's head knocking him to the ground. As he turned to see if the family was okay, the daughter saw something and shouted, "Watch out!"
Mark turned as one of the thugs stabbed him in the chest with a knife. Mark stood shocked and in pain as he man smiled at him. However, the father came up from behind with a stick and clubbed the man over the head, knocking him out. The father looked up as his daughter caught Mark as he fell back in pain. Walking over he looked into Mark's jacket and saw the Knife had been stopped a bit by a deck of cards in Mark's breast pocket, but the tip of the blade still pierced his skin, causing him to bleed. "I guess my luck held out from my dad's cards" he said with a smile. "Rest now, we will take care of you" the father said as he removed the knife and pulled out of Mark's cards. The daughter nodded and helped Mark walk into their home to care of his wound. As she did, the father looked at the blood stained cards and slowly an idea came to him, causing him to smile at Mark's retreating form.
Later that night, as Mark slept in a sleeping bag in the family's hut. The daughter went outside looking for her father. She found him outside in front of a fire, chanting as he laid the card deck before him. He chanted loudly as the flames rose and lowered with his chants. As she watched she saw the blood on the cards, seep into them and stared in fascination as the hole in the cards mended and soon wasn't there. Her father stood up and threw his arms up and as he did, the cards separated and flew around the fire as if being pulled by an unseen force. The girl held her mouth in shock as the cards flew around and took on the form of Mark's face, followed by the face of his father. As her father stopped chanting, the cards fell back into place as a deck and the fire died down. Her father smiled and picked the card deck up and placed the cards into Mark's jacket.
"Now the cards will obey him as they obeyed his father. They will protect him, and guard him, keep him safe and fight for him. As he fought for us, now he will fight for all" the father said as he looked back at a sleeping and bandaged Mark.
